  • @manillabar it's uncontrollable. Especially being in patients rooms for an extended period of time. They just slip out.

  • Farting here, too...I feel reeeeally bad when it won't stop at the gym.
  • Wondering if what I'm feeling is sciatic nerve pain or something else...I have a tingling sensation in my left hip and it feels like I pinched a nerve. If I stretch a certain way standing up, I can feel a sore, pulling sensation. Also when I lay down on my left side in bed, sometimes it aches. Would going to the chiropractor help with this possibly? I'm on my way to buy a heating pad for the time being. It's not super painful but it's definitely bothersome.
  • Hmm...hard to tell from this description. Sounds like it might be a classic case of achey pregnancy hips from relaxin, but what do I know. Sciatica would usually include your lower back and buttock, I think. I'm a believer in chiropractic care so would say a good one could probably help you. For example, mine is working on my rib pain, too. Otherwise stretching and maybe a good excuse for a massage?!

Another fan of the chiropractor here!  Definitely worth a shot!

Edited because it posted too soon.
  • @virginiaunicorn11 @chiquita928 Sounds like I have to give the chiropractor a try! It doesn't seem like sciatica because it's not back/buttock/leg pain. Hopefully that'll bring some relief!
  • Sciatic pain goes all the way to your foot typically. I'm having hip trouble so I started seeing a chiro - she diagnosed a tilted sacrum, and also just bc of the relaxin everything loosening up making it more pronounced. Joy!

Highly monitored internet and no cell service in the office, so I'm postin' and ghostin' while I'm workin'
  • Not necessarily to your foot, but yeah, shooting and tingling. That's severe, ouch! I'm sorry you're dealing with that! And glad you're getting good care, @GlitterFish
  • My new symptom of the week. Kidney stones. Passed one Saturday in L&D and passed some more today. Percocet wasn't working, so I went back into L&D today..I was given Dilaudid and that barely even worked! This sucks so much.
  • @BabyBump2 oh my gosh, that sounds horrible...so sorry you have to deal with kidney stones!!! Hopefully you pass everything that's in there soon, and don't get any more.

Could be your SI joint, I figured it out with my first after doing all kind of shit to help with sciatica. When nothing helped I went back to the dr and he recommended a chiro, turns out I have SPD. And literally nothing helps, I hope you find relief soon. If you don't have one yet, I say find you a good support belt.
  • I'm quite sure I'm getting the pupps rash. It's getting worse by the day and it's super itchy. If anyone has any tips to control it or what may aggravate it please do let me know.
  • @BusyZee there was a thread on this recently. I didn't read all of the posts but it may be helpful. I'll bump it for you.
  • Thankyou  <3 I forgot about it @oheliza44
  • @manillabar - Thank you for that laugh. I have a sense of humor like that of a 12 yo boy, so farts rank high up on my humor list. Especially when they come from me when I'm doing something that should not produce a fart.

  • Ugh more nose bleeds.
  • @MrsLa3 my nosebleeds FINALLY stopped bc the weather here has not been as dry/cold (east coast). I hope yours stop soon!! They really are the worst. But benign as far as I understand. I called my dr about it and they said as long as I don't have crazy gushers it's all good (something to that effect lol).

  • Any one else getting swollen feet/ankles by the end of the day?

I've managed to avoid it, personally, but a good friend was prescribed compression socks this early in her pregnancy. Maybe check with your OB about it next appointment.
  • I'm getting some uncomfortable pains and aches in my right rib/ side of my waist and middle upper back, painful jabs here and there but mainly the side of my waist.
  • Recently I've been having difficulties sitting in my chair at work. I have an office job and have a nice ergonomic chair, but my tailbone has been killing me. Over the past week it was getting progressively worse to the point where I had to lean forward and slowly hoist myself out of my chair using my arms; it honestly felt like my body was falling apart. And then my dear partner came to the rescue and bought me a butt donut (aka Inflatable rubber invalid ring, lol). The butt donut made all the difference and I was able to get through an extra long day today with minimal tailbone pain. I don't care if butt donuts are associated with hemmoroids, I will shamelessly tote it around the office to whatever chair I need to sit in. I sit on my butt donut with pride.

This made me giggle. Hope your tailbone discomfort subsides soon. That sounds miserable.

STM- what do Braxton hicks feel like? I read that they can start as early as 20-21 weeks. Im starting to feel a lot of pressure in my pelvis, especially when I get up from a sitting position or laying position. It is a fleeting sensation but very weird. I haven't had any cramping so I chalk it up to sitting most of the day at work. Anyone else experiencing this?

Also I think this baby is nocturnal. Thanks for the 4am kick in the bladder, LO.

I was surprised when my doctor addled if I had felt any BH at my last appointment. IME, it feels like a tightening sensation around your belly, and your belt gets hard. I never had them until much later when the uterus was much higher, so I'm sure they feel a little different at this stage. It shouldn't be painful, just tense.

I remember reading that inside babies sleep when you're up and moving around bc of the rocking motion and various sounds. Then when you're still is when they will move.
  • @oheliza44 FTM but I've done some research and I think I've been having them. I get a genera "tight" feeling in my abdomen/pelvis and if I feel my belly, my uterus is rock hard. Then after a minute or so it all loosens to a normal "hard" level haha.

  • @Rae1 it's weird because I'm not having tightening just sensations of pressure. Or maybe it is both? I don't know there are so many new things going on down there. Lol
  • @virginiaunicorn11  I asked my OB about it at my apt on Wed and he did not seemed concerned. Just said to give them a bit of a massage and sit with my feet up to drain the fluid. I did order some cute compression socks yesterday to see if it helps.
  • I used to literally cry trying to get my compression socks on and off after a long day...I found some recently with zippers and they completely erase that! Just throwing it out there that they have them if the idea of bending down to done and doff compression socks makes you want to cry!

  • @oheliza44 it feels like a lot of pressure and your belly will get hard. It doesn't hurt, it shouldnt not this early. A lot of the times when I've been super active or not had enough water I get them. You can't time them and they arent constant.
  • @oheliza44 if you have pressure without your uterus tightening maybe it's just baby moving around and pushing on your uterus or something? Regardless, pressure (non painful) is pretty normal, uterus stretching and all. So I probably wouldn't be super concerned.

  • My poor vagina feels so bruised. I feel like someone kicked me really hard between the legs. DH and I haven't had sex in days, so I know it's not that. The vagine just feels soooo bruised and it's hard to walk.

I've experienced this before, but usually much later in pregnancy. I'm 19 weeks, it's strange it's happening so early.
  • @supermom83 I have had this to, at only 19weeks, I'm assuming it's because I really never built back up my abdominal wall after last pregnancy. I never got swelling down there my first pregnancy and it wasn't till 34ish weeks with my twins but sure thing at 19 weeks with baby 3. It is 100% worse the day after sex.

Put me down as a +1 on the Braxton hicks and late night baby kicks. I also feel so much kicking when driving, assuming it's a combination of when I have a second to chug water and positioning.

@manillabar I was working in a long term care with short term rehab facility my last 2 pregnancies and would always fart on the elevator, whoever was in their would think it was a resident. In the treatment gym I would always try to make sure I was close to an elderly resident so my rehab patient would assume it was them and discreetly ask if we could move. Now I just blame my kids.
  • Has anyone else gotten the giggles so bad?? DH just told me I need to ask the doc if laughing uncontrollably at ridiculous things is a symptom??
