amanning2011 To be honest, I was
really surprised you weren’t sent to the hospital in the first place. With my
ectopic, I had to go to the hospital as soon as they found the baby in my tube
and was scheduled for emergency surgery. How are you feeling after your
surgery? I hope you are taking some time off of work to recover. I remember
that waiting for the beta to go down was torture. Mine was at 23,000 at the time
of my surgery so it did take a little while for it to go down. I also had to do
the shot and with that you have to wait three months to try again…I’m very glad
you don’t have to go through that. I’m wishing you a speedy recovery and I hope
your hcg drops quickly. I’m always here to talk.

@lilmissslp I'm doing ok, still sore at the incision site which I was told was normal. I have a hard time taking time off of work because I'm the only trainer we have and we have a couple of people starting soon, though if I need it I know my work will let me take the time. My doctor wanted to go the injection only route because there weren't any heartbeats yet so it was still rather early and he didn't want to damage the tube (even though we ended up removing it anyway). My HCG was only around 10,000 at the time of the surgery which hopefully means it will go down quickly, though we may choose to wait longer since we are planning a trip to DC at the end of April.

@emgem819 the prenatal yoga was really mild and relaxing. I am like a stiff block right now though, so I really need to work on stretching. I have a friend who swears by hot yoga, but the one time I tried it, I threw up afterwards. Definitely not my thing either.

Sorry I've been MIA for a bit. It's taken some time to recover from the news. I just wanted to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and support throughout this journey. Losing Baby B was devastating, but after seeing the heart rate only at 90 the week before (and reading waaaay too much about stats associated with loss at that rate), it wasn't altogether unexpected. Now I need to focus on keeping Baby A safe and sound and growing. And I'm comforted knowing that Baby B can be our guardian angel going forward.
Do I have any reason to be anxious about having so many ultrasounds in the first trimester? I don't want to do anything that could jeopardize my nugget's health.
@amanning2011 I'm so sorry you had to have surgery, but glad you are safer now and can begin recovery.
I'm currently spending some time alone, DH went to dinner with his family for his Bros bday. Since that brother is the one with the pregnant fiancée , I told him I need more time. Hate to feel like this but I tend to wear my emotions on my face, and couldn't promise to be nice! I'm not going to feel guilty about it either! It sucks and I'll get over it. We have to endure so much, and a pending miscarriage is enough.

for a little while. During my surgery, they found a mass on my appendix and
that was removed as well. I was written out of work for two weeks and I was so glad
because I was not emotionally ready to return. Work will always be there, take
time to heal! I hope your hcg drops quickly as well.

@lilmissslp I think there were only 2 incisions (that I can see at least, they used my belly button so it's hard to tell).
I'm in a lot less pain today that I was yesterday, and can get out of bed on my own which is kind of awesome now. My work is really understanding about the whole thing and my boss told me to take the time I need. I kind of want to go back sooner rather than later just so I have something else to think about.

EmilyE13 I am so sorry for your loss but also thrilled if something was wrong with baby B that you lost baby B earlier so that baby A can thrive and be fine. I was pregnant with twins and at 10wks miscarried and lost them both. I had an us earlier that morning and they both measured and sounded perfect. They say one could've had issues and because I was so far long it pulled the other one with them. I was able to get one tested and it was perfectly healthy, which of course still kills me that my body didn't hold on to at least one. If something was wrong why couldn't it happen early on so I could've at least held onto one. I'm still dealing with my loss and I kno it's hard, but it's such a blessing that strong baby A is holding on for u. Praying he/she grows stronger everyday with u! I kno u want to be angry with ur body, but be proud of ur body for being able to be strong and keep going!!

TW: Off to the cities for my 9 week 2 day US on Friday...then I likely will start weening off the meds. I had a really good Dr appointment with our local clinic on Thursday. She did a really good job of reassuring me that they will do what they could to customize my experience to help give me the most support and reassurance along the way as they could. We tried to listen for the baby on the doppler but didn't hear anything (she wasn't concerned she said that they usually can't hear much until week 10 at the earliest).
We also signed up with a doula the weekend before for our delivery and have an appointment set for the possible delivery Dr (they are 2 hours away 1 direction) for around week 11.
I have to also contact insurance to find out about the MaterniT21 genetic testing coverage...sounds like they don't do the ultrasound to check with genetic issues anymore for women over 35 where I live...saying its not reliable. That they instead do the blood test...but my dr wasn't sure if it was covered or not.
Also we announced on FB on Valentines day. I know its super early but honestly almost everyone in my little town was already finding out. We got our 1st kiddo gift from a non relative from our dog groomer. She was so sweet!

Had my first ultrasound today and saw the baby! Heartbeat was 154 and everything measures right on track or slightly ahead. No sign of a bleed. Feeling very relieved right now!

i got bitter sweet news today so baby B did not have a heart beat but baby A was measuring right on track with a strong heart beat of 133. The RE wants to see me again in one week. Feel so blessed for baby A but sad about baby B and even more worried that baby A might not pull through. Prayers....

Today is actually my birthday so we went to PF Changs then swung by the Cheesecake Factory for some dessert. I’m feeling good just very tired and my tummy gets full very quickly. Yesterday I took two naps after work and then was in bed by 9! I hope theses are all good signs. I have my first ultrasound this Friday and can’t wait. amanning2011 To be honest, I was really surprised you weren’t sent to the hospital in the first place. With my ectopic, I had to go to the hospital as soon as they found the baby in my tube and was scheduled for emergency surgery. How are you feeling after your surgery? I hope you are taking some time off of work to recover. I remember that waiting for the beta to go down was torture. Mine was at 23,000 at the time of my surgery so it did take a little while for it to go down. I also had to do the shot and with that you have to wait three months to try again…I’m very glad you don’t have to go through that. I’m wishing you a speedy recovery and I hope your hcg drops quickly. I’m always here to talk.

@emgem819 the prenatal yoga was really mild and relaxing. I am like a stiff block right now though, so I really need to work on stretching. I have a friend who swears by hot yoga, but the one time I tried it, I threw up afterwards. Definitely not my thing either.

Sorry I've been MIA for a bit. It's taken some time to recover from the news. I just wanted to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and support throughout this journey. Losing Baby B was devastating, but after seeing the heart rate only at 90 the week before (and reading waaaay too much about stats associated with loss at that rate), it wasn't altogether unexpected. Now I need to focus on keeping Baby A safe and sound and growing. And I'm comforted knowing that Baby B can be our guardian angel going forward.
Do I have any reason to be anxious about having so many ultrasounds in the first trimester? I don't want to do anything that could jeopardize my nugget's health.
I'm currently spending some time alone, DH went to dinner with his family for his Bros bday. Since that brother is the one with the pregnant fiancée , I told him I need more time. Hate to feel like this but I tend to wear my emotions on my face, and couldn't promise to be nice! I'm not going to feel guilty about it either! It sucks and I'll get over it. We have to endure so much, and a pending miscarriage is enough.

amanning2011 I’m glad to hear you’re doing ok! Did you have laparoscopic surgery with three incisions? I was sore for a little while. During my surgery, they found a mass on my appendix and that was removed as well. I was written out of work for two weeks and I was so glad because I was not emotionally ready to return. Work will always be there, take time to heal! I hope your hcg drops quickly as well.

I'm in a lot less pain today that I was yesterday, and can get out of bed on my own which is kind of awesome now. EmilyE13 I am so sorry for your loss but also thrilled if something was wrong with baby B that you lost baby B earlier so that baby A can thrive and be fine. I was pregnant with twins and at 10wks miscarried and lost them both. I had an us earlier that morning and they both measured and sounded perfect. They say one could've had issues and because I was so far long it pulled the other one with them. I was able to get one tested and it was perfectly healthy, which of course still kills me that my body didn't hold on to at least one. If something was wrong why couldn't it happen early on so I could've at least held onto one. I'm still dealing with my loss and I kno it's hard, but it's such a blessing that strong baby A is holding on for u. Praying he/she grows stronger everyday with u! I kno u want to be angry with ur body, but be proud of ur body for being able to be strong and keep going!!

Off to the cities for my 9 week 2 day US on Friday...then I likely will start weening off the meds. I had a really good Dr appointment with our local clinic on Thursday. She did a really good job of reassuring me that they will do what they could to customize my experience to help give me the most support and reassurance along the way as they could. We tried to listen for the baby on the doppler but didn't hear anything (she wasn't concerned she said that they usually can't hear much until week 10 at the earliest).
We also signed up with a doula the weekend before for our delivery and have an appointment set for the possible delivery Dr (they are 2 hours away 1 direction) for around week 11.
I have to also contact insurance to find out about the MaterniT21 genetic testing coverage...sounds like they don't do the ultrasound to check with genetic issues anymore for women over 35 where I live...saying its not reliable. That they instead do the blood test...but my dr wasn't sure if it was covered or not.
Also we announced on FB on Valentines day. I know its super early but honestly almost everyone in my little town was already finding out. We got our 1st kiddo gift from a non relative from our dog groomer. She was so sweet!
In general I still am tired some (but really not sure how much more tired than usual), have a fair share of heartburn, I go from food aversions to being fine, I have a ton of bloat, and I have been having headaches some.

i got bitter sweet news today so baby B did not have a heart beat but baby A was measuring right on track with a strong heart beat of 133. The RE wants to see me again in one week. Feel so blessed for baby A but sad about baby B and even more worried that baby A might not pull through. Prayers....
