I'm super worried now, I started spotting last night and still am this morning. it was dark in color this morning so I'm not sure if it's a dark red or brownish red (I have shade differential color issues), but now it's definitely just brown. I called my RE last night and left a message asking them to call me back today, but I'm not sure what they can do about it. I've been having cramping for the last couple of days, but I'm pretty sure that's because I haven't had a BM in a few days How late is too late for spotting?

@ChocolateIsLife I'm at 5 weeks and 4 days. I finally got to talk to a nurse and she told me brown means it's not something to worry about, and that there might be a little red because I'm doing vaginal progesterone so the applicator could be irritating my cervix. I'm just kind of paranoid this being my first transfer and first pregnancy. My ultrasound is Tuesday, so I guess we'll see what everything looks like then.

I get worrying @amanning2011! However, brown blood is common and should be fine. *TW* with my ectopic pregnancy, I had bright red bleeding and it was a good amount. Can't wait for your ultrasound Tuesday to confirm that everything is fine.

@becauselove I started weaning off progesterone late last week at 8 weeks. It's giving me KILLER headaches, which I read it fairly common. Damn it. My progesterone came back last week at 41. I'm cutting down from 2 to 1 suppositories per day and then discharging it all together in a week.

Hello ladies, so I just got out of my first ultrasound and I'm in a bit of shock and very anxious. According to my FET date I should be about 5 weeks 2 or three days give or take. The doctor saw two sacs today. I don't know if I'm in more shock over the possibility that I may have twins or that I was expecting they would be able to see more than just a sac. The doc said the progress looked perfectly normal to her and to come back in two weeks. Now anxiously awaiting
@cherrybea Congrats! I think everything will be fine. Part of the reason a lot of clinics recommend not coming until 7 weeks is because they aren't usually able to see much until then. I know it's hard to wait 2 weeks without knowing much but try to remember it's normal and hopefully when you go back you can hear the heartbeats and see more. For me, it was painfully hard to wait until this week for my u/s but I'm glad it's finally 7 weeks and I'll be able to see some things or possibly hear a heartbeat.

cherrybea Very cool!! So glad your US went well! Excited to hear how the one in 2 weeks goes! 2 sacs!! So exciting! You had Beta good numbers so I wouldn't be surprised. We had 2 sacs (still have 2 sacs) but only 1 has a bebe in it..the other one is just fluid (either leaked from the other sac at some point or a vanishing twin. I hope the 7 week US brings you answers!
APM_SLP that sucks about weening! Sorry about the headaches!! Glad your getting closer though to being able to get off of them! How are you and the twins doing other than the headaches? Any more US's?

EmilyE13 I hear ya about the heartburn (the minty tums are saving my life) and the bra's. I use to get awesome maternity bras (even though not pregnant back then) from target...they were super cheap and soft...but they stopped making them. So now I am not really sure where I will get maternity bras. Excited to hear how your US goes later this week! I think you will be able to see a ton! You could even see the brain fluid where the brain was developing. So cool! Also funny to realize the baby though is really only the size of a gummy bear.
cherrybea The 7 week US was pretty freaking cool. My 1st US was at 6weeks 2 days. The only reason I had another one so quickly was because of the 2 sacs they saw on the screen (and only 1 heartbeat/fetal pole etc).
Worldtravler0522 You may want to look at testing ;/ I know for me it would have been bad news had we not tested. we had 16 eggs that fertilized (out of 35+, only 8 that made it to blast development and out of those only 3 were chromosomally normal. So if we had tried with the other 5 we would have likely had failures. I wish you the best in whatever you decide and the next steps on this journey!

@BecauseLove I'm not sure I can justify the money with the possible outcomes. No disrespect but I've seen plenty of people get the testing done and still end up with a BFN or MC from a "normal" embryo. I got a quote again today and the testing would be $8K when all is said and done. I guess I'd rather keep taking my chances and save the $8K for another ER or FET or adoption if I'm just completely unlucky and end up with 12 lost embryos. The thawing, refreezing, and thawing again also makes me incredibly uncomfortable. I'd be sick if we had a "normal" embryo and lost it due to the stress of thawing, refreezing, and thawing again.

@Worldtravler0522 I understand completely where you're coming from. After my MC last time, and we had 4 embryos left, I asked my RE the possibility of doing PGS testing on those remaining. She said it can be done but didn't recommend it: she was worried about the stress on embryos from thawing, freezing, rethawing, and said that she didn't think it was worth the $$. (Good to know she wasn't interested in making a profit) She recommended just trying again with the possibility that another MC could happen, but she was confident there'd be at least one good embryo in the bunch. So, I think saving that 8K is wise, even though it doesn't guarantee you'll get PG right away, there's good chances you will at some point.

@emgem819 if I knew without a shadow of a doubt that the $8K would ensure a healthy pregnancy with no miscarriage I would do it in a heartbeat because I would pay just about any amount to not go through a 4th miscarriage but like your RE I just think the risk is too high and it doesn't guarantee a thing. I also kind of struggle with the idea of what they deem as "abnormal". I would hate to think an embryo with Downs would be disqualified because in a lot of cases they can go on to lead fairly normal lives. Also a friend of mine recently had a scare that her baby was abnormal on his 13 chromosome and they almost terminated the pregnancy but she didn't and ended up having a healthy baby boy with zero issues. It makes me wonder would he have been deemed abnormal? Sorry for the rant.

US today was not good news. The pregnancy stopped progressing at 5w2d (about 10 days ago). We are recheck in on Thursday, but not holding out hope because only a gestational sac and no yolk sac was visible. Plus a second fluid sac. I'm devastated and disappointed. I'm going to be able to focus on my mom's health and help her now until we hopefully get a green light to try FET 2. :''(

Oh man just got off the phone with the clinic. My 1st beta is 594 It is starting to feel real! I also asked them about cramping, because I've been having off and on cramps that scare me, but they said they are normal.

@ChocolateIsLife that's a crazy high beta # for only transferring 1! Maybe chances that it split? Awesome news! I also had cramps during TWW and RE told me it's totally normal....just the embryo implanting and your uterus stretching.

@ChocolateIsLife maybe that's why but mine at 10dp5dt was only 146! It's also possible some people have higher numbers of HCG earlier, and the number might not mean as much. I've never seen a number that high though for beta #1! Def means good things! Eager to see what your second number is!

RE called and said my HCG is 11K, which is low for 6w5d, so she suspects even more that no baby developed. I still have to go in for a double check US on Thursday, then stop all meds, hopefully get AF ASAP to get this over with. Is that a weird thought? Sigh... I still cannot believe this is happening! The past 16 days were the best of our lives together. We will get through this, and move on, but right now it SUCKS! I have started to read the MC board, but it's too sad today When I have more of a plan in place for FET#2, I'll move on to that board, but for now I'll still lurk here and cheer on my Jan sisters!

@JESSABER0414 what you're feeling is perfectly normal. With my last miscarriage I was just ready to move on to my next FET. It's the thing that keeps me most sane. You're HCG is higher than mine was at that point but I stopped meds on a Monday and started bleeding late Thursday night. If you have any questions or need to talk please don't hesitate to PM me. Happy Valentine Day everyone! I'm super worried now, I started spotting last night and still am this morning. it was dark in color this morning so I'm not sure if it's a dark red or brownish red (I have shade differential color issues), but now it's definitely just brown. I called my RE last night and left a message asking them to call me back today, but I'm not sure what they can do about it. I've been having cramping for the last couple of days, but I'm pretty sure that's because I haven't had a BM in a few days

@becauselove I started weaning off progesterone late last week at 8 weeks. It's giving me KILLER headaches, which I read it fairly common. Damn it. My progesterone came back last week at 41. I'm cutting down from 2 to 1 suppositories per day and then discharging it all together in a week.

cherrybea Very cool!! So glad your US went well! Excited to hear how the one in 2 weeks goes! 2 sacs!! So exciting! You had Beta good numbers so I wouldn't be surprised. We had 2 sacs (still have 2 sacs) but only 1 has a bebe in it..the other one is just fluid (either leaked from the other sac at some point or a vanishing twin. I hope the 7 week US brings you answers!

EmilyE13 I hear ya about the heartburn (the minty tums are saving my life) and the bra's. I use to get awesome maternity bras (even though not pregnant back then) from target...they were super cheap and soft...but they stopped making them. So now I am not really sure where I will get maternity bras. Excited to hear how your US goes later this week! I think you will be able to see a ton! You could even see the brain fluid where the brain was developing. So cool! Also funny to realize the baby though is really only the size of a gummy bear.
cherrybea The 7 week US was pretty freaking cool. My 1st US was at 6weeks 2 days. The only reason I had another one so quickly was because of the 2 sacs they saw on the screen (and only 1 heartbeat/fetal pole etc).
Worldtravler0522 You may want to look at testing ;/ I know for me it would have been bad news had we not tested. we had 16 eggs that fertilized (out of 35+, only 8 that made it to blast development and out of those only 3 were chromosomally normal. So if we had tried with the other 5 we would have likely had failures. I wish you the best in whatever you decide and the next steps on this journey!

US today was not good news. The pregnancy stopped progressing at 5w2d (about 10 days ago). We are recheck in on Thursday, but not holding out hope because only a gestational sac and no yolk sac was visible. Plus a second fluid sac. I'm devastated and disappointed.

ChocolateIsLife I’m good. I’m having trouble sleeping and still some tummy issues but happy to have some symptoms. My second beta is tomorrow and I can’t wait. Wahoo on your great beta!!! That’s great you’re second beta and ultrasound are scheduled. I convinced my clinic to let me do an ultrasound at 5 1/2 weeks to rule out another ectopic. I know it won’t show much at all I just want to make sure the sac is in the right place.

RE called and said my HCG is 11K, which is low for 6w5d, so she suspects even more that no baby developed. I still have to go in for a double check US on Thursday, then stop all meds, hopefully get AF ASAP to get this over with. Is that a weird thought?
Sigh... I still cannot believe this is happening! The past 16 days were the best of our lives together. We will get through this, and move on, but right now it SUCKS! I have started to read the MC board, but it's too sad today

I got home from work yesterday and told DH that all I wanted for V-day was to get to take a test early because I thought I was having what I thought might be symptoms (even though I have never had real pg symptoms. He let me and I got my first ever BFP!! I was a little shocked and surprised when I saw the lines so I used a CB digi Week estimator this morning that I had from my TTC days. It came back +++1-2 weeks. I am completely and utterly shocked! Very cautiously optimistic and hoping that one or two of my beans are in there snuggling in tight
