I have two fluffy puppies, Roxy and Jackson. Here they are at our engagement photo shoot:
I'm interested to see how they will react to the baby. Jackson (the small one) has a napoleon complex and has to be the boss lol. Roxy (the big one) is a real sweetheart
These are my babies! The little one (Rainey) is the tiny Hitler and alpha dog (I see a trend here). She's a chiweenie. My other dog, Teekie, is a mix of who knows what and is as sweet as can be, but he's scared of EVERYTHING. They're both rescues/shelter dogs and I love them to bits.
@maybeitsmadeline What is it with the little ones? Their personalities sound so much like my dogs! The small/dominant one and the sweet/scaredy cat one lol. Mine are both rescues as well. Side note - I love your floors!

We have 3. 2 miniature longhaired dachshunds (Lulu and Linus) and a boxer lab mix (Lander) who thinks he's also a miniature dachshund at 70lbs. They are obsessed with "their baby" and follow DD around everywhere. It'll be interesting to see their reaction to #2!
@SpongeWorthy (GREAT username, BTW. Huge Seinfeld fan) she is SUCH a cuddler. I can't even express how cuddly this dog is. I'm glad, because she's already used to humans being in her face (because she's in our faces) so I'm hopeful that she'll be patient with a little one.
This is Sylvester. He loves boxes and will try to fit himself into the smallest ones. It's hilarious. He doesn't need toys. Give him a box and he's in his glory. 12 years old and counting!
And this is Tarzan, also 12. They're biological brothers (I lost the 3rd brother to heart disease/failure late last year ) He's got a complicated relationship with any male that isn't my husband lol! He has 1 favourite ball that he just loves playing with. Doesn't like to be held but is a huge cuddle bug with me.
These are SO cute!!! I love it! You all have adorable pets!
@SpongeWorthy It's little dog syndrome! They have to be the boss. She's so rude to him and he just takes it. She's a diva for sure. And thank you about the floors! We had them redone and the dogs had mud on their feet. They were waiting to be put in the bed . That's their dirty feet towel. Lol! Your pups look so sweet! I want to give them both hugs.
Loving all these sweet furbaby faces! This is our little girl Bella, she's part lab and we aren't sure what else. This picture was from when we got her in December, she's about 3 inches taller and 20 pounds heavier but still so sweet and cute. DH is going to start training her for duck hunting so he can take her next season.
Jasper (back) is 10 and was rescued 8 years ago from a local beagle rescue group. He is the quietest beagle I've ever met and is the biggest snuggler. He LOVES kids and hates wet grass.
Amber (front) is a handful. She was rescued almost a year ago from a local rescue org. They told us when we got her she was 4. Ummm...she was ALL PUPPY when we brought her home, but has started calming down. And she is the stereotypical beagle...she is never quiet except when she's sleeping. She loves belly rubs. She seems meh on kids...I think they scare her a little.

@SquirttheTurtle Sawyer is ADORABLE. I love that fluffy coat! It makes me sad that they can't get along. My dogs will only play together outside. They tolerate each other inside (mostly with the little one always getting his way).
Me: 31 DH: 31 DS born 6/2017, became a heart angel 8/2018 CP 3/2019
@SpongeWorthy Sawyer and Grace were the only pets in their respective households for 8 years. Neither was around a cat/dog so we were not expecting any miracles when DH moved in. They live in separate harmony and both get plenty of attention.
Sawyer is a big fluff ball! He has to be brushed almost daily when he is shedding and that also means I'm vacuuming almost daily. Grace does her fair share of adding to the shedding.
This is our fur baby when she first came to us. Her name is Nala, we aren't sure how old she is. She jumped into my dad's car one night, and he thought she was a neighbors, but he couldn't keep her because he has dogs. So we took her in for the night. Next thing you know, my husband starts calling her his "princess" and when we found out she was left outside permanently and the owners didn't want her back, we gave her a home. She is 100% my husband's cat, and the nicest, most docile, most snuggly cat that has ever existed. I'm more worried about her over snuggling the baby than about being mean to him at all.

@Maybeitsmadeline Thanks my pugs are Boss and Nugget, Gracie is the pot cake, we got her on vacationing on turks and cacos. They are street dogs but are so cute and so sweet. There is a dog sanctuary there for these little guys. She came running up to us on the beach as a puppy and we could not say no.
@lfk2013 What cuties! So funny they are the same breed but such different personalities. Also I LOVE that onesie.
@kerils Nala looks so curious! I bet she will be a total lovebug with the baby. I'm not sure how my little dog Jackson will react to the baby. He can be a dominant brat, but he's also a snugglebug and lap dog. Time will tell!
Me: 31 DH: 31 DS born 6/2017, became a heart angel 8/2018 CP 3/2019
@SpongeWorthy You hit her personality right on the head. She has to sniff and check out EVERYTHING. Food especially. She rarely actually wants the food, she just wants to sniff it to find out what it is. Curiosity really will kill that cat.
Hubby and Me Friends since 2008 Started dating: July 1st, 2013 Engaged: July 1st, 2014 Married: July 1st, 2016 R born: July 8th, 2017 N born: June 30th, 2019 Baby #3 Due: July 7th, 2022 (maybe I only ovulate in October XD)
@SpongeWorthy wow your dog's are both adorable but that picture is perfect! They are sitting so well!
@stokesm21 that's just like my cat, she will hop into any box before I even finish emptying it. Because of that, I am not sure if that whole baby box would work for me. I live in NJ that just started it but I'm afraid my cat will hop in with the baby!
My adorable dog, Lola. She's 9 years old, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. DH and I got her in 2008, as a 10 week old puppy, just a month before I found out I was pregnant with DS1. She's just the sweetest dog ever. She snores so loudly and her farts smell like absolute death, but she's still the best dog ever!
And my adorable cat, Izzy. She's 13 years old! DH adopted her before we were married, though we were dating at the time. She was the littlest, cutest little 15 week old kitten when we got her. She's a scary cat and hates how spastic the kids are, so she always hides when the kids are around and emerges at night when they're not in bed. Though DS2 LOVES her and wishes she'd let him pet her more. She likes to keep to herself for the most part though.
this is my Lucy. She's a crazy, hyperr, anxiety ridden, destructive, food-obsessed 13 year old lab who I can't imagine my life without. She's been with me since my sophomore year in college 12 years ago. She's my dog with 9 lives, who's on #11. I ❤ dearly.
This is my Charlie Bear. He is a cuddly stud muffin who annoys the crap out of his canine sister, and entertains the crap out of his human one. He loves barking at cats, running away from small children, and snow ❤
My first furrbaby is this 8 year old cat named Roo. We got her a few months after me and DH moved in together. Most people think she is psycho but to me she is the sweetest cuddles, she doesn't like too many people though
This is my baby girl Bella, she's 2 and a lab/collie mix but she must be mixed with something else bc she's too small to be either of those breeds, only 40lbs. We got her 2 years ago when we were a year into our Fertility struggles, I needed something to mother and ever since she has been my baby. She is great with my friends kids so I can't wait to see her as a big sister.
Love love love this thread!!! Everyone's pets are so sweet- thanks for sharing!
Here are my pups! Cooper is a four year old lab/boxer/weimaraner mix. He has the sweet lab disposition and LOVES water, especially the pool at the dog park. We adopted Cooper shortly after getting engaged in 2013. Ridley is my little shadow. She was so meek and timid when we adopted her in March of last year, but has become a very confident dog and lover of all fluffy pillows. I know both dogs will be great "big siblings" when LO arrives.
Ohhhh so cuuute I'm well jell. Everyone's pets are so cute! I really want a pet now!!!! I'm not sure I can take care of one properly though iv never had a pet The only one I have hopes of getting anytime soon is somewhere inside me.
@kem0514 We got our dog maybe 4-6 months before I realized we were struggling to get pregnant and she really was such a comfort through those hard times.
@supermom83 Lola's bow is so cute! My Roxy girl snores like crazy, too and barks in her sleep. It's hilarious.
@lvcpatt84 That action shot of Charlie Bear is great! I don't get the barking at cats thing. My dogs do it, too, and it's like if you want to catch that thing, you probably shouldn't bark loudly at it lol.
@kem0514 I love Roo's little collar. She looks so stately in her pose.
@oheliza44 That wedding photo is to die for! Cooper posed perfectly! I wish my dogs liked to go swimming. Was he like that from the beginning or did you have to train him?
This is Teddy! He's almost 2.5 with a ton of puppy still in him! Love him! I could literally post pics of him every day. I don't have any recent photos of my 14 y/o cat.
@PurplePumpernickel it was seriously the best thing to have her through all that. All though it did result in her being completely spoiled and treated like an actual human but she's my baby and I couldn't be happier
Patiently waiting for some pumpkin pie on thanksgiving in pic 1. Being cuddly and adorable in pic 2. I just love these two so much. Both are rescues.
Maverick is a 3 year old German shepherd/Rott/Pitt mix. He is an angel and lives for cuddle time (and chipotle scraps)
Arya we aren't quite sure. She is 1 and we think she might be shepherd/Norwegian elkhound/possibly coyote. She is the sweetest baby ever and just wants love 24/7.
