@haylsbayls I hope so, but Tom is so weak willed it's hard for me to imagine him leaving. I rather see the same pattern repeating -- she gives him an ultimatum to get married, to buy a house, to have a baby, and he goes for it every time. Really sad.
@haylsbayls RIGHT?! She just has to make everything about her and then bitches about how Katie is making this whole wedding such a big deal. Scheana has QUITE the selective memory. And anyone who makes me defend Katie sucks, because she's awful too! @adirat I'm dying laughing at this "you fix your stupidly spelled name." Right on the money! I clearly have many opinions about this show.
@adirat I always wonder if their relationships would all be the same if it wasn't for the show. I feel as though they force these life events to happen while filming without actually giving them any real thought. I'm sure the only reason they are still together is because Katie didn't want to break up with Tom and then watch him dating/hooking up with other girls on the show. Idk though, they are all crazy and choose to have their lives on full blast for everyone to see!

Joining in the VPR discussion...yes @adirat Katie is the worst. I lol'd when she said 'I'm so nice' and 'it's not in my nature to say it's my day, but it's my day!' lol at joe Simpson, he came off so creepy i thought peters movie was funny! I freaking love Ariana
Lol @haylsbayls she just seems that way because she's forced to hang out with those people. When you see her interact with people she likes she smiles and is sweet. My opinion, of course!
I wouldn't be offended if you talked about a guilty pleasure show you like. This is mine. Sometimes when you're down about your infertility, it just feels nice to watch Bravo and remember how fortunate it is that you aren't these monster people.

Yea I definitely didn't imply someone should feel guilty about their RHW TV shows. I just have no idea what any of it means.

@mschanandlerbong1214 sorry about the blizzard and being stuck inside. I felt the need to say something about the "annoying kids" part. While kids are not a TW here and they can be challenging, you have come to a place with many women who would give anything to have a child/children. That comment might rub many of the ladies here the wrong way.

@Everycol0r I can't handle the kardashians. I don't know why, because I watch a lot of other questionable individuals on reality tv. But they are where I draw the line.
Pour some out for my homies @Everycol0r@lulu1180@NYTino24 and @BertieMeetsGertie who have not experienced the brilliance that is Venderpump Rules. It has given us such amazing one liners and Stassi is my bitchy spirit animal.

I've watched Vanderpump Rules! Used to watch a lot of RH (the NJ ladies don't live far from me at all and Snooki is also close) and Kardashians. I watch a lot less tv now than four years ago when DH moved in. I didn't have cable for 4 months after buying my house so I could save money and use the time to paint. Once he came along, not being able to watch sports was killing him. I gave away my small second tv and now DH dominates the TV. His is still at his parents' house. I still hear a lot about VPR from my coworkers who watch. I always thought Katie was desperate and Tom was a jerk, especially with the "promise" ring. I'm shocked they actually got married and glad they have a prenup. PS maybe start a new TV thread? We had one going in November / December I think?
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*

When shows were popular, they always pretty much get their own weekly thread. I've seen Teen Mom, Bachelor/ette, This is Us, Real House Wives AND OF COURSE THE BEST SHOW ON EARTH GAME OF THRONES.

My immune system needs a TP. I've been running a fever all day, but can't take off from work tomorrow. The funeral for my colleague who passed away (which is the reason I've been avoiding the boards the past few day- I've had as much tragedy as my mental health can stand) is tomorrow, and I'm not going to the mass (because I don't feel comfortable), so I'm staying back to hold down the fort for my grade. Thankfully we had a snow day today, so I've spent the day in bed. I don't know how I'll feel tomorrow, but I'm going to work either way.

You're very right. And I'm sorry if I offended anyone. It definitely was not my intention in anyway.
MH is pissing me off. He felt the need to debate Planned Parenthood getting federal funding with me.
I had my first Gyn appointment there ($70!) because I didn't have insurance and needed BCP due to my blood disorder. He knows I am pro-choice and he just wanted to argue. He thinks funding shouldn't be provided for abortions because 1) he's against it unless in the case of rape and 2) "people shouldn't use it as free birth control, they should pay for it themselves", but doesn't want to acknowledge that babies put into foster care or who are supported with welfare cost a lot more, particularly if they are born with physical disabilities or the effects of drugs and alcohol. There are tons of other situations and reasons why I am pro-choice, but since he brought up the money, I tried to open his eyes to that. It was too heavy of a conversation for CD3 post MC.

@jsnakehole I'm sorry to hear it. Is everything ok with your job?
Yeah, my principal called me in for her second year of 'all of your observations have to be flawless or you won't get tenure...but I want you to be successful...but here are no resources to improve' spiel. I've known since last year she has no intention of tenuring me. She also threw in a comment about putting the children first, which was BS. What else do I put first at work? I just have to make it to mid-April, when the transfer system opens.
Me: 28 DH: 29 Married: 6/2016 TTC #1: 12/2016 Benched due to deployment- Off the bench 8/8/17!
@jsnakehole is it really up to her whether you get tenure or not? I thought it was just a time thing - I.e. Teach for x number of years and get tenure but maybe I'm totally wrong.
@hartmich It used to be that way, but now the principal decides if you can even submit your portfolio to be reviewed by the superintendent. I understand that you don't want to tenure incompetent teachers, but it gives the principal too much power to spite people she doesn't like.

@jsnakehole oh man yeah that's a tough one. Everyone should be able to submit one, that's crazy that she could just refuse to let you. Can your union help at all?
@Everycol0r We should for sure start a Game of Thrones thread when it comes back - IF we're still here (which, hopefully we're not!). I LIVE for that show and have GOT viewing parties at my house every Sunday with a themed meal. And we discuss the books. It's a little obsessive, I must say, but soooooo good.
