We have chili simmering in the crock pot, and after I get out of work we will be driving up to my MIL's (over an hour away...yay) to watch the game with DH's mom, stepfather, and his sisters' families. I fully intend to nap in the car on both legs of the drive, because I'm going to be freaking exhausted. But it's going to be worth it for a little of this...
My team(s) aren't playing the Super Bowl this year(Carolina/Dallas) so I'm basically just going to eat all the things and hopefully watch the Pats lose. Bring on the Brady memes.
We are hosting about 20 people tonight. I have like 5 dips, sweet and sour meatballs, loaded tater tot skewers, pigs in a blanket, a brownie ice cream sundae bar, veggie platter, and cheese tray. Also I mentioned in another post a friend won free Chipotle for 20 people and is bringing that. Do you think the pregnant one planned for enough food?
I can't wait to eat! I'm about to start chopping veggies and get my cheesecake dip ready to be chilled. Then I'll be getting the real cooking going around 1:30 or so. I don't care about either team but I'm rooting for the Falcons mainly because I just don't like Brady's face.
I don't really care much about the teams playing, but made myself some buffalo chicken dip to indulge in to keep up the game day spirit! My husband is also grilling some brats for dinner. Basically it is a delicious food day with a little football thrown in for good measure.

We have people coming over at 6. I'm making Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese, turkey cranberry wraps, Carmel Apple cheese ball with cinnamon crackers. Our friends are bringing seven layer dip. And my oldest and I made this cake. It's a tie dye rainbow cake with pink icing haha. My husband will have to roll me to bed tonight haha.
Here is my finished product. I realized mid assembly that we did not have food coloring for the vanilla pudding. DH saved the day by reducing some red sugar sprinkles in water over the stove to make a last minute fix. #teamwork
We have been eating for 2 hours now and still have 2.5 hours until kickoff. Ugh! Going to be a long night of poor food choices. We have 5 pregame apps, Shepard pie for dinner, 4 post dinner super bowl apps and 3 desserts. We only have 5 adults and our two toddlers so this is way overboard. Oh and hmmmm who to cheer for? Lets just say I am praying this night ends with Roger handing Tom the trophy. Bwahaha
We are heading to another couple's house in about 45 min with chili, brownies and "pigskin in a blanket" because I felt Pinterest-y. As a proud citizen of STL, I hate the NFL (except YAY for Kurt Warner getting called to the HoF!!!) so I'll be rooting for the Clydesdales and eating my weight in junk. Happy Notsospecial Sunday, ladies!
We aren't having anyone over but I made a huge batch of spicy sausage dip and chicken wings. So between that and the 5 boxes of Girl Scout cookies that showed up at my door today, this week's OB weigh in should be record breaking in a bad way.

You guys, I just got home from running errands. I had zero intention of being out all day, but my jalapeño poppers and weenies are on and potato skins and mozzarella sticks will be done shortly.
I'm also here for the TB high five fails and smack talk, as tonight I am a Falcons fan!

Tom Brady tonight:
in other news, my husband and I stuffed our faces with nachos and are barely breathing at this point.
