DH just got his last pay check until August :::curls up in a ball and weeps:::
Boo. Do you get to pick his payment schedule or does the district?
The county quit doing the 12 month payments a few years ago. It isn't a huge deal because we save up and he works another (lower paying) job in the summer but it still give me anxiety.
My oven is self cleaning. But it is a wall oven and says to remove all cabinet doors and such. No thanks. Just use some oven off. We already have a water damage claim...don't need a fire damage claim.
The oven we're getting is apparently a steam clean one. You pour water into the bottom and it will heat up (not as high as self-cleaning) and the steam will loosen everything up. I'm interested to see how well that works.
It's also a convection oven, so that should be interesting, too.
Was it ksmith that was talking about the radio show blaming different races for things? On the way home this afternoon our local station was doing a "who's people is it" game where the hosts are Caucasian, Puerto Rican and African American. They read a story about a (somewhat ridiculous) crime committed and callers have to try to guess if the criminal is Caucasian, African American or Puerto Rican. I was appalled.
I am bored. I am bored because I can't do anything because M is such a fussy baby. I don't want to go anywhere because I know he will start crying and it takes forever to calm him down.
I left the house this morning for the first time in a week.
I just want to be able to spend time with A, but I can't because M wants to be on my boob 24/7.
I feel like I'm being such a terrible mother to A, and like I'm doing permanent damage by not spending enough time with him.
the first 6ish weeks are a hellish blur. Andy will never remember this time, and toddlers (typically) don't hold grudges. Just keep trucking mama, it gets better!
1. I use the first stall in the bathroom. I've never done this before, but I'm hoping my butt is the only one it sees on a daily basis. So far so good.
2. I'm allowing Sage to go diaperless tonight. She hasn't done anything yet, but I keep taking her to the bathroom. Watching her is like watching paint dry.
3. I made cookies for my coworkers in hopes they "like me". They really liked the cookies.
4. I've done nothing since I've gotten home tonight. Unless you count catching up on here and looking out the window at the kid play without her clothes on.
I had a list of confessions on my desk. I was only able to remember the first one. I'm so boring.
I related to it way more than I am comfortable with. I'm ashamed. Having a 3-year-old is kicking my ass.
Ugh, kids are hard. I have plenty of those moments. Then when one of the boys yell in frustration, I realize they're just learning it from us. I've really made a conscious effort not to yell and to stay calm. It's hard.
I know better and I really do make an effort not to lose my cool. Maya is so defiant and will scream "no" right in my face. Every singe thing is a battle and it just wears me down lately. Plus Ethan has been so clingy and needy that I can't get the simplest of tasks done. Last night I was seriously ready to cry after about an hour alone with them. I have got to toughen up.
DS does this. He will get so worked up, and then I think, my God, I hope he's not learning that from me.
DS slams his hand down on the table when he's angry. Yep, learned that from me.

Yes!! Is that not insane? This particular radio show is on Shade45 on XM radio. They play that game on "white people Wednesdays". I just can't believe some of the things they say on there.

I agree. Just keep telling yourself it's only temporary! DS watched so much tv when DD was a newborn b/c it was the only way I could handle both kids at once sometimes. Big hugs!

STUCK
I don't know if this was discussed earlier in the thread and I missed it, but I remember hearing somewhere that, statistically, the first stall is the least-used and thus cleanest:) I always go there if it's open.
I just looked for the picture of Kate Middleton's butt.
Why? LOL
I dunno. They were making such a big deal out of the story everywhere, I guess I was curious what the big deal was. 1) her butt looks just like you'd think it would, 2) I love her, but agree with the people that say she needs to have weights put in her dresses/skirts to avoid it, and 3) the photographer is a shit, it doesn't matter if she is donating the money.
My husband wears sleeveless shirts. I don't care if they are in style. Nothing my husband wears is stylish. I would never get him to wear something stylish unless carhartts, bib overalls, sleeveless shirts are in style.

I used the self clean on my oven and it set my smoke alarms off. Never dared to try again!
It's also a convection oven, so that should be interesting, too.
