FFFC I love that my hospital has a nursery and I fully intend to keep baby there throughout the night after delivery. I almost look forward to my 2-3night hospital stay, their food is so good and they literally bring the baby for feeding/bonding then change their diapers and wheel them away once they fall asleep so you can sleep. I'm also excited to have a TV to myself for a few days. I really hope my final experience is as good as my first 2 were.
My hospital got rid of their nursery and I'm pissed...for the same reason you're excited. Don't tell me how I'm supposed to bond with my baby. Let me get one good night's sleep after just pushing a human out of my body. I've got 8273747372 more nights to be up all night listening to its breathing and questioning everything.

@munchkinsmama I look forward to this too! I take full advantage of somebody watching the baby. As soon as we get home, I know that someone will be me. In the hospital, nurses can do it!

I was TOLD with my second baby at the same hospital that they didn't have the nursery anymore for that reason, to make sure mom bonded with baby, the night after I delivered. Found out from the day nurse the next day that it was a complete lie. The night nurses just didn't want to be bothered. I was so mad!!!!!! Especially because I was alone in the hospital that night so DH could be with my older DD.
I have a pointless meeting on Monday in another city, to justify staying overnight before the full day of real meetings the next day. It is at 3:00 pm, so I can leave at 9:00 am, spend the full day getting down there (long train)...then my hotel has a pool, an amazing breakfast buffet, and is walking distance to my 10:00 am meeting the next day.
DH is taking care of DS, and I'm pumped for my mamamoon.
@virginiaunicorn11 that sounds wonderful! Kind of on the same topic- a boss of mine from my days as an intern told me that for mother's day every year she got a one night solo hotel stay in this fabulous hotel downtown. She would go to the spa, sit by the pool, order room service, and get a fabulous night's sleep while her husband had a "boy's night" with their twins. I think I'll be starting that tradition in my household.

This sounds amazing. Last summer I had to go to a workshop for work, and there were options at college campuses all over the country. Our employer pays for the workshop (which includes breakfast and lunch) and your overnight accommodations, but you have to pay for transportation and everything else. Most coworkers that go to it choose the closest option, which is like a 3 hour drive, then you stay in college dorms for the week. I chose to go to Miami, which was a 2 hour flight for less than $200 round trip, where the workshop was offered at a community college (no dorms) and the suggested hotel was 2 miles away right on the beach. It was the best week of my life. LOL
My fffc is that dh disapproves of giving our 2 year old fruit snacks. Ds loves them and will do anything for them so I still buy them and half hid them in the cupboard. Dh has no idea where anything is in the kitchen and even if he's found them he's never said anything.
I am so on the being able to send your newborn to the nursery wagon. Dh and I had maybe 3 hours of sleep in a 36 hour window. I needed some sleep and Ik my labor and delivery wasn't as hard as a lot of women. However I had an annoying experience the last night- there wasn't visiting hours so the people next to us had people over and sounded like they were really loud, after we had the nurses tell them to be quiet they were slamming the drawers and the nurses were the friendiest. I lived but it was annoying and just wanted to go home.
@Itsnotyourturn I feel the same. Buttt since there is no puppy or kitten bowl, I give you my favorite animal related buzzed link. It always makes me laugh- hopefully it does the same for you.
@Itsnotyourturn if and when your cat cooperates PM me the picture. I don't know why I think that link is so funny but I laugh so hard every time I look at it.
I've been showing a video about Van Gogh for my art class this week. By Tuesday I realized that the video and my lesson were too short for our 45 minute class periods, I actually thought the kids would need more time then they actually do. So I've now resorted to stopping the video a couple of times and yelling "I'll start this video again when we decide to stop talking." Kids can't figure out who is talking and I buy myself about 5 more minutes, sorry not sorry kids.

I'm having a pity party for myself because I'm still sick. So far I've eaten way too many M&Ms, I haven't showered or even changed out of my pjs yet, and I plan to continue doing both those things for the rest of the day.

What flavor M&Ms!? I had peanut butter yesterday. Soooooo good. I stopped halfway through a personal bag because of guilt and then hormones took over about 10 mins later and I finished it. Sorry, not sorry.
I have two music gigs today with a three hour break in between. I was so good and packed myself breakfast and lunch last night and then forgot to grab them in my 5:30am delirium. So... I couldn't starve myself and baby so I just HAD to get a breakfast sandwich on the road. Gimme all the bacon, all of it.
@Cait32 and @virginiaunicorn11 I'm so jealous, I want a mama moon that is more than a 20 minute trip to Target.

The peanut butter M&Ms are the best!!!! I love those so much. Sadly the store didn't have those this time and I had to buy the peanut M&Ms, but I sure wish they were the peanut butter ones.
@supermom83 They ARE the best. Peanut is a damn close second. @GeorgiaWife6912 Girl, you do you! I was in the cafe here in my building yesterday and was scanning the sweets section and they popped out at me. They aren't the easiest to find in personal size because normally it's a vending machine or gas station that carries them! So, as soon as I saw them I knew I had to have them. It was destiny. We lived happily ever after.
Signed DS up for preschool in the fall this morning. Took like 10 minutes. MIL was watching my kids do an hour, so afterwards I treated myself to a decaf iced Carmel mocchiatto and a chocolate chip cookie at Starbucks ALONE!
I pulled a muscle in my neck (boo), so I'm binge-watching Paw Patrol with my 15-month old, eating popcorn, and letting hubby run my errands in the rain...kinda sucks that my confession comes from an accidental injury, but I'll take it! Happy Friday guys!

Feel better!!!!!! Glad you and LO are enjoying yourselves! We discovered last week LO loves Elmo and Sesame Street! His face lights up when they do the number and letter of the day songs. So sweet.
DD is really getting annoying as she reaches the 2's age. She terrorizes everybody and everything in public and when I'm with her grandparents (either side) they let her.
I clearly just got back from his happening.

I just watched Bridget Jones' Baby. I don't care what anyone says, it was good. And, yes, I cried.

I told DH that the majority of the week I was feeling nauseous (which I was but not as bad as I made it sound) so I could lay in bed and binge watch the last few episodes of Shameless.
He handled the kids every morning and dropped them off at school plus ran all the errands on his days off. He also did laundry and cleaned the house.

I'm obsessed with Shameless. I'm pretty sure I used the "honey I'm not feeling well" excuse before I was even pregnant just to watch Shameless!!
