@Texafornian Breathe. Try not to symptom spot. I did that the other day and could have sworn my boobs weren't sore anymore, next day they made up for that. My progesterone Suppositories are white, i would freak out everyday if they were a red. But remember all of your numbers were great! Symptoms come and go. Intermittent cramping is normal also. I hope it is all normal, and nothing serious, but in the mean time just breathe and *try* to relax.
@Texafornian Really sore-wanna-cry boobs are a sign of tanking progesterone so non-sore boobs are a GOOD sign. I knew my 9wk loss was going downhill rapidly when it was taking me several minutes of cringe-worthy pain going from laying down to standing or taking off my bra rather than <15 seconds.
@SunshineDays i pray for healing and acceptance so you can move forward towards your rainbow. I am so sorry that you are going thru this. Take your time, don't rush.
@Texafornian FX for you. I'm glad you advocated for yourself to go in on Monday for an u/s. I'm 6+3 and my boobs just started getting sore a couple of hours ago! Every pregnancy is different. to you
Sable Married to David 3/22/14 Mommy to my angel Ella Lynne born into heaven 8/24/15 Started TTC again October 2016 BFP on 1/6/17!
Hello everyone! I was pregnant after our first cycle in late 2015, then had a 6w3d miscarriage. Then I was diagnosed with Lyme and have been treating that for over 14 months. Nothing about this has been easy. My husband and I decided to try again in January, and got pregnant our first cycle. N How far along are you? 4 w tomorrow
How are you doing? I'm doing alright as long as I stay busy. I got a BFP only 9DPO which was a curse and a blessing. I still don't feel as if this pregnancy is 'legitimate' because my period is not even late. I feel like knowing this early is 'cheating'. (I know it's not, just feels that way.) I've been testing every morning and hoping that line gets darker. I lost my mind a little yesterday. Decided to pee on two different tests later in the afternoon. The lines were lighter (first time not using FMU and I was super hydrated.) That, and I swear my boobs weren't as sore....symptoms come and go, of course, but I had lost my mind temporarily. And so I started having flashbacks to what I went through during my last M/C. There's a lot of trauma there I haven't dealt with, since right after the MC in 2015 I became sick and we never got to deal with the psychological pain of the MC. This morning, I POAS again, nice dark line. So...I'm...doing....fine I guess?
I'm ravenously hungry, sore boobs, bad BO (like...woah) and now I'm really thirsty!
When is your next appointment? Nothing planned yet
Rant/Rave/Questions? I feel like....TTC and staying pregnant....nobody talks about what a traumatic, terrifying, uncertain, mindfuck of a process it can be!! We just hear it's all magical and precious and exciting. This has not been my case.
GTKY: What is your favorite place that you have been? Where would you love to go and haven't? I've been all over, and I would say Ireland and the French Alps! I have this thing with Ireland. I usually just travel back home to Vermont whenever I have free time though.
Due with rainbow rainbow rainbow baby on 9/29/17 It's been a long road- Let's just say that!
Thanks ladies...nothing worse than being PGAL and AMA! Just that much more rough being 43...doubt i'd try again after this so hoping and praying with all of my might that this little bugger sticks like no tomorrow. Chilling on the sofa and trying not to focus on the dull cramps...also mentally prepared to not see much on Monday other than a sac and hopefully fetal pole. I'll should be 6+1 based on ovulation but my DD measured a few days behind even though I knew my O date then too...i'm cool with that so long as they can see SOMEthing and then bring me back a week later to date and see a beating little ticker.:)
For those of you who've cramped during an early successful pregnancy...what kind of cramping was it? I have no sharp pain and it's not localized to one side or the other or in my back...just a low dull ache kind of center. Almost like PMS but a tad more dull and somewhat constant.
Rant/Rave/Questions? I feel like....TTC and staying pregnant....nobody talks about what a traumatic, terrifying, uncertain, mindfuck of a process it can be!! We just hear it's all magical and precious and exciting. This has not been my case.
OMG yes! I think pregnancy is horribly stressful! I mean first you have you're TWW, then you have to question every symptom, wait for HCG to double, wait another few weeks for an appointment, hope for heartbeat, wait on genetic test results, wait for anatomy scan....then I think it gets a tad easier...that halfway mark. Then you really only focus on the whole birthing process but you can kind of enjoy the rest of the pregnancy in terms of baby safety...sadly you get so uncomfortable by that point you just want the baby to vacate so that even though you might only get two hours of sleep...they'll be two QUALITY hours of sleep lol. I spent the last five weeks of my pregnancy on the sofa because my hips hurt so bad on my bed... I wish men could get in our brains for just a moment to see what a giant mindfuck it REALLY is...
Yup...magical exciting, precious, AMAZING...and terrifying. Must be why we are so overcome with emotion when we finally get to see that tiny baby face for the first time.
TTP's that you have a happy and healthy 9m and welcome to the group!
@Texafornian I had cramping around 5+1 ish, and it was right in the center like behind my pubic bone. I was generally achey there prior to that but that particular day I was like what is this?! My hcg went up and I'm still getting new symptoms...! Also, I second what everyone says. Symptoms fluctuate, the little bitches. I will convince myself and dh that my boobs are not sore at all anymore, and then the next day they come back. Same with nausea. Waves. My doctor said do not rely on breast tenderness and nausea as they come and go. I hope everything is okay!!

@LaceyC1020 I asked about the progesterone causing spotting or irritation as I'd heard that before and they said no. I'm not taking the monostat-like suppository, it's actually an oral gel pill (like a vitamin 3 type of thing) that I insert vaginally instead of taking orally. It's not that big and discharge isn't a lot...maybe a bit in the morning and it's a pinky-red (world's shittiest pill designer on that one...must've been a man lol...next time choose clear or white or yellow...not RED). Good to know on the cramping though...makes me feel better.
Also...super guilty here of pulling my bra away from my boobs while standing so that I can "test" how painful they are when they drop LOL. That and constantly pushing on them...sigh. Husband is getting jealous of all the action i'm giving myself...
@Sugargirl1019 I just had a vision of you standing in front of your hubby saying "See! This doesn't hurt at all...neither does this! How far along: 6w5d
How are you doing: Relieved after my ultrasound but still a mixed bag. Good news: Measuring 6w1d, 120bpm! They saw remnants of a resolving SCH which explains my spotting last Sunday-Monday. Meh news: I'm 6w5d from lmp, but I ovulated on CD17, so that accounts for some. They saw a myoma, and there is a slight concern of a cornual ectopic, or that it implanted very close to where the tube dumps out into the uterus. But for now she's confident it's enough inside my uterus.
When is your next appointment: Next Wednesday for follow up ultrasound.
Rant/Rave/Questions: DO NOT GOOGLE CORNUAL ECTOPIC.

Yeah me too. this was actually the opposite of me. My boobs have been hurting from the time i POS. And I had low progesterone in the beginning (9.9), was put on supplement and my level went up (21.2) in a week and if anything my boobs have been hurting worse.

OMG @GhanimaAtreides I didn't heed your warning not to Google because well, Google-addict here! Hope that your doc is correct and that the implantation is far enough in there.
With my daughter I was diagnosed with a Velamentous Cord Insertion at 20weeks...same thing...freaky ass Google info. Basically the gist is that instead of the cord inserting into the middle of the placenta, it inserts into the fetal membranes and then travels through the membranes to the placenta...and the cord is also not protected by Wharton's jelly so there's a chance it can rupture. If the cord moves over the cervix, a vaginal birth could rupture the cord and basically cause stillbirth and a bleed out for the mom. Talk about freaking out! I didn't know whether to prepare for a C-section or what...they just closely monitored me and said all was fine and that really the concern is that not enough nutrients get to the baby which can cause a low weight. I was induced at 38.5 due to heart rate decels in the baby and when they delivered the placenta, my doc was shocked! She said my DD was a literal miracle because I had a classic case of VCI...she even brought in students to look at it it was that insane. Little medical miracle...and it's not a condition that i'd have higher odds to get again...just flukey. So here's to you having that little engine that could too! Meh...close to the opening...pssshhh...in there far enough to get the job done! Hang in there!
@lahearn18 We met while both active-duty in the Marine Corps, after a 2 year hiatus of us both being civilians, he ached for Marine Corps-lite, so he got an Active Guard Reserve (still full-time active-duty) spot with the CO Army National Guard. We get the best of both worlds this way; I get to live a happy civilian life with all the stability, and he gets to rock cammies every day and play soldier. Plus all the benefits military life entails.
@Texafornian Holy cow, you did have a miracle! That's crazy. Especially when they called in the med students.
Unfortunately if at any time they confirm this as a cornual ectoptic they'll term it. Hopefully in a way that preserves my fertility the best. The whole part about cornuals having a higher maternal mortality rate than regular ectopics is what got me; they have way more blood supply and can go weeks farther in gestation before rupturing. Then you pretty much bleed out very rapidly... I've had a taste of how scary that is once. Saturating 6 pads in the first 40 minutes at the ER before moving on to chuck pads was scary enough with my first loss. I'm glad they're checking back in a week. Now I'm suspicious of the discomfort I'm feeling on my right side is my enlarged corpus luteum, which it probably is... or if it's pressure from a baby growing where it shouldn't be. Hopefully it's like when I had a placenta previa; over the course of a few weeks as everything grows everything adjusts to its proper place.
@GhanimaAtreides That's awesome. Mine is Active Duty Navy. We PCS at the end of the year. I am from Virginia Beach so hopefully we get sent back and i'll be by my family and pretend to be a civilian until he deploys.
Just got back from my doctors appointment for our confirmation u/s due to my history with an ectopic....baby is in the right spot, measuring accordingly and the heart beat just started.

I'm starting to feel more and more anxious... I know it's because this was the week I started spotting last time. I keep trying to tell myself "this time is different... it will be different" but the voice in my head just won't shut off... ugh!
@hollygolightly09 I know what you mean! I was definitely spotting at this point (and would for almost 2 weeks until the actual bleeding started), and I haven't had any yet...but it's SO HARD to *always* be able to calm myself down by reminding myself that this is a different pregnancy...I think giving ourselves a bit of slack can go a long way (I should listen to my own advice )...I find I have a much better experience when I let myself worry a bit instead of getting angry at myself for worrying, because then I have worry AND anger/guilt....two/three tough emotions instead of just the one I started with.

@HollyGolightly09: try to be gentle on yourself. My therapist said that my worries were completely normal BECAUSE I had had a miscarriage; otherwise they would be a bit over the top -- we're allowed to worry after the trauma we've been through! But after hearing a heartbeat I think chances of miscarriage are very much diminished. Did you hear a heartbeat last time? That could add to your worry, but again, breathe, and be kind to yourself, while thinking/hoping for the best and knowing it's completely possible!
I'm 4+4 but the doc did a us anyways and said we probably wouldn't see anything, but we could check it out if I wanted (duh!) so we did and he showed me a mucous thing (English is his second language so I don't really know....membrane? Sac? I dunno) and a little black dot. He says they're not allowed to 100% confirm pregnancy before 5 weeks, but everything looked good for early pregnancy. I have another us booked at 8+2 so hopefully I can hold out that long without going crazy! And hopefully there is the best little heartbeat by that time!

@margareth I did hear a heartbeat last time, and I think that's what is freaking me out so bad. Instead of the US making me feel better, it was almost like deja vu.
This. I heard a heartbeat too before my loss at 8w. I think you'll stress until you meet each milestone from the previous loss(es).

Im taking the exact same progesterone that you are and after taking it I honestly cant tell the difference in the discharge it causes and actually bleeding. They look exactly the same. I take mine at night and the discharge usually stops about an hour or so after I wake up. about 2 weeks ago I had bright red spotting in the early evening that I am pretty sure was truely blood instead of discharge from the pills. I mentioned it in my next weekly appointment to my doctor (after seeing a prefect little heartbeat in an ultrasound) and my doctor said it can cause spotting and he wasn't concerned at all so try not to worry too much! And yes, why they heck did they make these pills red?! Good luck at your ultrasound today!!!
@icecubeinthedesert, @Texafornian, @HollyGolightly09 : I get it. Since I hadn't heard a heartbeat last fall (missed miscarriage), the u/s was a different experience for me. I do think the anxiety goes down significantly when you pass your personal milestone, and especially when you reach the second trimester. In the meantime we just have to have faith. (Easier said than done!) I wish we could actually *hear* our baby's heartbeat without technology at this stage, but on second thought that might be a bit weird! Time will heal the anxiety, and breathing always helps (I tend not to breathe enough, which cuts off oxygen to the brain and elsewhere in the body and makes everything worse).
Repeat betas today. This week I'm nervous because this was the week the baby stopped growing last time. (Went in at 9 weeks for US and learned baby didn't grow past 6w3d.) I'm scared to death even though I feel differently this time. Last time, I knew something was wrong. This time, it feels right.
