We have been TTC since February 2011. We have suffered a handful of MCs between now and then with the longest PG ending at 15 weeks due to trisomy 15.
How far along are you? 5+5 How are you doing? Doing great. Not loving this morning sickness, but it's a good sign. I have been having terrible times with insomnia. I would love to finally sleep for more than 4 hours at a time... When is your next appointment? January 24th will be our first appointment with the OB Rant/Rave/Questions? Can I just say DH is awesome! He has been cooking all sorts of amazing deliciousness lately just so I won't have to worry about cooking if I am hungry. He surprised me with my favorite lactose free ice cream at work just because. Plus he has been doing most all of the cleaning while I am away at work and keeping the house spotless. A girl could get used to all this spoiling. GTKY: What is your favorite place that you have been? Where would you love to go and haven't? Currently, my favorite place we have visited is Toronto. That's where this little one was finally conceived after years of trying. Plus we loved the food scene and all the amazing fresh markets! I must go back someday just to cook my way through the St. Lawrence Market. I do hope to go backpacking through Europe and the Brazilian rain forests. I'm torn between the beautiful architecture of Europe and the diverse wildlife of the rain forest.
@HollyGolightly09 Good! I'm glad you got to talk to your mom. Hopefully she will be less of a Debbie Downer around you from now on. @margareth Yay for getting to hear the heartbeat! I can't wait for Tuesday to roll around so we can hear our LO's.
Hi all, my DH and I got some bad news at our ultrasound on Monday where we found out the heartbeat had stopped. My HCG levels have started to drop and we are waiting for nature to take its course at this point.
I didn't get to know many people on the main board and didn't want to make my own post, but I found a lot of support with you ladies and I wanted to thank you for everything and wish you a H&H 9 months. I hope it is ok I posted this here. Sending lots of love and best wishes to all of you.
How far along are you? Officially set today by the doctor as 5w4d
How are you doing? Ok. Nauseous and trying not to worry.
When is your next appointment? Just had it today. Could only see the little bean on the vaginal US and the yolk sac. Said it was hard to tell because it's so early but the good news is endometrial layer is super duper thick. Did my first beta draw today, follow up Friday.
Rant/Rave/Questions? For women on progesterone, would you recommend suppositories or pills? More than likely Friday DR is going to get my a prescription for progesterone supplements. Never have done those before & I know there are a number of side effects.
GTKY: What is your favorite place that you have been? Where would you love to go and haven't? Yellowstone. Both my SO and I want to go there for our honeymoon.

@rainafire77 my dr put me on crinone, which a gel suppository. They only prescribe that because they say it works better than an oral pill. I've had good results with it. (Went from 9.9 to 21.2 in the 1st week on it). Good luck!
@rainafire77 I'm taking a pill that was prescribed to be taken vaginally instead...it's red which freaked me out at first. Good thing is, barely any discharge but it's pinkish red lol...the suppository ones are more akin to monostat
I have had two losses. One in march at 8 weeks (the baby measured 6). And then I had an ectopic in June.
How far along are you? 4w2d
How are you doing? stressed and nauseous
When is your next appointment? Actually waiting to get my blood drawn for my second hcg. Praying my numbers double. So nervous. My numbers have never doubled.
Rant/Rave/Questions? I need a nap
GTKY: What is your favorite place that you have been? Where would you love to go and haven't? Colorado. I lived there for a year and loved it.
@rainafire77 I've been on all of them at some point--oral pills, pill suppositories, gel suppositories and currently on intramuscular injections of progesterone in oil. I prefer the injections. The crinone (gel) and suppositories can cause irritation and bleeding. It completely freaked me out. Caused bright red bleeding for me and my cousin. Plus...you can't let it "build up" in you....TMI, but you have to clean it out every few days in the shower. Super gross. The injections don't hurt at all and can be more easily seen in your blood levels. The oral progesterone pills made me SO nauseous...
I hope that helps some! Everyone is different, talk with your doctor about what would be right for you. I chose the injections because I wanted to make sure I was getting the most progesterone in my system. With frozen IVF transfers, your ovaries don't produce it at all for a while..
Let's start with a short intro for those who weren't with us last week, and as a refresher for everyone else. Hey all, I'm Sable. I had a 3rd trimester stillbirth on August 24, 2015 due to severe early onset preeclampsia. My daughter died during birth. I also almost died. Preeclampsia is a nasty thing. How far along are you? 6+3
How are you doing? In all honesty, I'm a little moody. I've been off the board for a couple of days because as each day goes I get a little more freaked out! I just can't see past the day to day and am having trouble envisioning a healthy/happy end to this pregnancy. I've had some left side cramping which I'm praying doesn't mean an ectopic pregnancy. My food aversions are out of control and I am SO exhausted!
When is your next appointment? Gosh it can't come soon enough. Tuesday 1/24!
Rant/Rave/Questions? I wish I could take the next few days off! This exhaustion is awful!
GTKY: What is your favorite place that you have been? Where would you love to go and haven't? I've seen y'all post about Montana which is absolutely one of my favorite places I've been. I would have to say that the Exumas in the Bahamas was the best. We went there on our honeymoon! I am dying to see so many places. Napa Valley, Ireland, England, Germany, Italy, Greece. I love travel! .

@sableeg sorry you're struggling with envisioning the end...hopefully the appointment on Tuesday can set your mind at ease a little bit.
Also...haven't been to Ireland (want to!) but I can attest that Napa, England, Germany and Greece are pretty damn cool. Although I'd have to say that Greece was my least fave but I went to Corfu and not Mikinos. Corfu is green and has a lot of poverty...none of the pretty white/blue buildings. Still a beautiful country but I'm good not visiting again.
@sableeg and @Texafornian I've recently been to Ireland for a family vacation, and I highly recommend the West coast countryside. We stayed in Connemara and it was beautiful.

Hi all, new here! I just posted in the intro page, but I'll give you a quick intro here. This is my 3rd pregnancy. I have a 3 yo DD and had a miscarriage September '15. Excited to be here after a long 15 months of trying. How far along are you? 4 weeks tomorrow
How are you doing? very excited. Still sinking in.
When is your next appointment? I am under the supervision of an RE and had an IUI done Jan 6. I will call the office with results of POAS tomorrow and set up something soon, I'm sure.
Rant/Rave/Questions? nothing quite yet!
GTKY: What is your favorite place that you have been? Where would you love to go and haven't? St Thomas, USVI. It's one of DH and my favorite places they have the most beautiful beaches! Since we had DD 3 years ago we haven't had a true vacation, nor have we left her overnight anywhere, so I'd love to go anywhere with just my husband.
So talk me off the ledge please...I've been taking the wretched red progesterone pills vaginally so I'm now used to the pinkish red discharge but this morning it was brownish and I had light cramping. I also noticed that yesterday and this morning my boobs aren't as sore if at all and bloat is down.
Called the nurse's station and they checked with doc and called me back, said to just take it easy, not do anything strenuous ...and my hcg numbers had gone up well and progesterone wasn't too bad so should be all good...said to continue progesterone and call back if cramping or bright red bleeding. I can't help but panic a little...5+5 today.
Anyobecelse have symptims come and go honor discharge/spotting and any cramping in any pregnancies? I know they're all different but my pregnancy with DD didn't have any of that...mate no sore boobs but they got sore later on.
@Texafornian Try to breathe. Your numbers are good and rising, so that is a great sign. Brown is old blood, and could have been in there from your last cycle, or from implantation. My boobs being sore is pretty hit or miss... some days my bra is uncomfortable, some days I have to basically fondle myself before I notice.
@Texafornian try not to panic. Yes, all pregnancies are different. But in the past week I've experienced bright red bleeding, brown bleeding/spotting backaches and mild cramping. My RE wasn't concerned at all and an ultrasound confirmed all is well with baby. Those suppositories can irritate your cervix and can also cause cramping. My symptoms have definitely fluctuated over the past week or so. My cousin had A LOT of bright red bleeding that tapered off over a couple weeks (also on progesterone gel suppositories) and she delivered a healthy baby girl last October. She's been keeping me sane. Lol Just take it easy, stay hydrated and keep an eye on it.
@Texafornian Try not to worry. I had cramping for the first 6 weeks with my first pregnancy, then they went away. The baby grew to 8 weeks, so probably unrelated to the MC. I am getting some of the stabby pains again this time. Also, the bleeding with my MC was pink to red, not brown. Just take it easy!
