8 week loss in first pregnancy (Halloween '16)

How far along are you? 
6+6

How are you doing? 
It's a struggle every day, but I am trying really hard to stay positive and just be thankful day by day. I think I'll feel a lot better once I pass that 8 wk mark. 

When is your next appointment? 
Not until Feb 17  

Rant/Rave/Questions?
-Everything  looked great at my appointment yesterday and my OB seemed very optimistic. 
- I talked to my mom about needing her to have a more positive outlook (or at least keep the negative one to herself). She felt really bad and said she hadn't meant to make me feel bad/more anxious. She came by my house Monday and brought a big stuffed lamb I had swooned over for a nursery one day when we were shopping, and since she has been a lot better.

GTKY:  What is your favorite place that you have been? Where would you love to go and haven't? 
Generally speaking, I'm a beach person, but my mom and I have been to NYC twice and it was so much fun. I would love to go to Europe.

Let's start with a short intro for those who weren't with us last week, and as a refresher for everyone else. Hey hey!  I intro'd on the board yesterday. I had a loss at 6+2 in October last year.   That was my first pregnancy after trying for 14 months and seeing an RE.

How far along are you? 4+1

How are you doing?  Well, that's a loaded question   I'm so happy to be pregnant again, but so scared.  I'm trying so hard to say and think "when" instead of "if" and try to stay positive.  It's still so early that I don't really feel anything yet and that's not helping my anxiety.  I'm sure I'll regret saying this later, but GIVE ME ALL THE SYMPTOMS!!!

When is your next appointment? Betas again tomorrow and Monday, then U/S at 6ish weeks if *WHEN, goshdarnit* betas are good.

GTKY:  What is your favorite place that you have been? Where would you love to go and haven't?  Australia is my favorite so far.  I spent a few months there after college and it was an amazing time, amazing place.  My dream vacation is to Greece.  It looks so gorgeous!!  And the food- yum.

How far along are you? 6+4

How are you doing? 

Besides being sick right now, I'm doing great! My RE said everything looked great on Monday. Hearing the heartbeat was so comforting ❤

When is your next appointment? 

I have another scan this coming Monday and then I see my regular OB on 2/15. Seems so far away!!

I'm just so thankful for each day that comes. I know once this baby is here I'll want time to stop, but for now September can't come soon enough!!!

GTKY:  What is your favorite place that you have been? Where would you love to go and haven't? 

Disney is my favorite place in the whole world. I would absolutely love to go see the Northern Lights though! Definitely on the bucket list!

@HollyGolightly09, I'm so glad you talked to your mom about your feelings and that she was receptive towards them!!

I had a MC at 5 weeks followed by a ruptured ectopic that took my tube in Sept 15. 

How far along are you? 5+5

How are you doing? pretty good.  I'll feel better after I get my numbers from my second blood draw

When is your next appointment? today for the blood draw. Next appointment will be set based on what the number is. 

Rant/Rave/Questions? I had an U/S Monday and didn't see anything which made me super nervous but my HCG was 4748. FX it was just too early still and my number today will be double. 

GTKY:  What is your favorite place that you have been? Where would you love to go and haven't? I camped in Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons a few years ago with friends and it was amazing. I would love to go to Iceland!

@RedBreast35 I'm just a few days beyond you (4+6) and I just started getting mildly sore boobs like....2 days ago.  I was also freaking out and wanting all the symptoms, so I know how you feel!!  It's hard being due at the end of the month.  So many ladies here have serious symptoms and I constantly have to remind myself that they can be 3 full weeks ahead of me!

Let's start with a short intro for those who weren't with us last week, and as a refresher for everyone else. I got pregnant for the first time after 11 months of trying.  Discovered pregnancy while in ER with hemmoraghic ovarian cyst. My MMC was discovered at my u/s at 9.5 weeks.  Baby didn't measure past 5.5 weeks.

How far along are you? 4+6

How are you doing? Fine so far.  We've told both our parents already, even though it's so early.  Every time I say "today I'm pregnant" I lose it, so not sure I can continue with that mantra. 

When is your next appointment? u/s scheduled for February 9th at 8 weeks exactly.  I was hoping they'd let me come earlier, but nope.


Rant/Rave/Questions?  I'm not really having any bloating/ digestive distress.  I'm hoping that I'm just lucky....?
 

GTKY:  What is your favorite place that you have been? Where would you love to go and haven't?  DH and I went to Munich last year and really loved it, but would love to visit in summer instead of winter.  I'd also love to visit the US national parks that I haven't made it to yet.

ETA refresh/intro. Hi all, DH and I started TTC last June, though we had originally decided the December before that, then a week later found out I would need to find a new job, and wait to qualify for FMLA. We were super lucky to get pregnant our first cycle, but unfortunately I started to miscarry at 12 weeks. Baby didn't progress past 8 weeks, which was two days after our last appointment where we heard a solid heartbeat. We took off the cycle after the D&C, then I had an anovulatory cycle after that, and got BFPs the last two days in our second cycle trying after that.

How far along are you? 3+4

How are you doing? Excited, but also pretty anxious and cautious.

When is your next appointment? Will be calling today. I think the office said around 8 weeks? so probably end of Feb

Rant/Rave/Questions? Not today. Just so happy to be here. And while I wish none of has had to go on a special board like this, I'm happy to have some great company! 

GTKY:  What is your favorite place that you have been? Where would you love to go and haven't? Definitely our honeymoon in Kauai. So relaxing and fun/adventurous at the same time. We are thinking about planning a trip in April or May. Top candidates on the list are Maui, Italy, Spain... I could go on and on.

My husband and I have been TTC for a year. We’ve had 3 losses: 1MC at around 6 weeks in Jan 2016,  a MMC in April 2016 (I think, I’m losing track) at 8 weeks but baby’s heartbeat stopped at 6w1d and another MMC in Oct 2016 at 9 weeks but baby’s heart beat stopped at 6w2d. (I feel like a pro in miscarriages at this point)

How far along are you? 
7w4d

How are you doing?
I’m starting to get hopeful, since we’ve never made it this far and this time I KNOW the heartbeat is still there (at least every Monday I do)

When is your next appointment? 
Every Monday until I hit 10 weeks and I am graduated to my OBGYN/Midwife.

 Yesterday and today I am so bloated I am uncomfortable.

GTKY:  What is your favorite place that you have been? Where would you love to go and haven't? 

This is a hard question for me because traveling is my passion. I think my favorite place has been The Cayman Islands. It is just so beautiful and relaxing there. I have never seen a more beautiful beach. My life goal is to visit every continent (I’d love to say every country but I am realistic that I would not be able to afford that much travel in 1 lifetime) so there are tons of places I’d love to go but haven’t. If I narrowed it down to one there is a bed and breakfast in Africa that has giraffes that you can eat breakfast with (my favorite animal!).

How are you doing?
still nervous until the ultrasound and testing later on. Got my 2nd round of blood work back (done at 6w2d)- prog went up to 21.2 (1st round showed 9.9 so I started crinone) and my HCG is 79,000 (posted about it already but freaking out a little since it's so high!). But after that blood work I feel a little better.  

When is your next appointment? 
Next Wednesday is my first ultrasound at a radiology facility and then my first dr appt is the following Tuesday.

Does anyone know their HCG levels at 6w? 
 
GTKY:  What is your favorite place that you have been? Where would you love to go and haven't? 
I loved Boston, I liked the history and it was just a nice city. I also loved going to islands/Carribean. I would love to go to Europe, never did any research so I don't know the specific spots I'd like to visit. I'd also love to see Hawaii. My husband wants to go to Alaska. I just love traveling, learning about the place and seeing how different people live and all, so I'll go pretty anywhere. 

@LaceyC1020 my husband and I were just talking about wanting to see the northern lights! He's not much of a traveler so I was happy to hear he wanted to go somewhere. 

ETA: back story, my 2nd PG ended in loss at 14w, found out my son had a chromosomal abnormality T13 and holoprocensaphaly (his brain didn't finish separating into two sections, it was still connected in the front, like a U). This was in May 2015.

@jmn1985 I can't say that mantra either. It's never helped me. I've been saying "every pregnancy has to start somewhere" which helps me.

We started TTC in October 2015: first bfp June 2016, m/c July 2016 at 6+2: with doc's permission started TTC right away again, and got second bfp Jan 2017

How are you doing? ok. I feel way better about this one than the last one, but I will be so glad to get past 6+2...and every week after that.

When is your next appointment? funny story...the country I live in loves pregnant people and reducing stress, but they suck at first tri mind easing....I had to beg for an 8week u/s instead of a 12 week one and they don't do bloodwork unless you've had 3 MCs...uhm, the first one took 8 months to conceive and this one took an extra 6. I don't have time or patience for THREE.

Rant/Rave/Questions? see above I'm with you guys trying to say "when" instead of "if" but damn it's hard! I do g have trouble picturing a little ball of cells clinging to my uterus, but I have trouble picturing having an actual infant in the fall. 

GTKY:  What is your favorite place that you have been? Where would you love to go and haven't? Rome was amazing! I'd love to go to Australia because...Australia...but is also love to go to Ireland for my heritage.

Hello! This is my third pregnancy, hopefully my second baby. I have a DS who is 2.5. In August 2016 I was supposed to be 13 weeks but found out at an US that baby had stopped growing around 9. Now due September 15 acc to LMP.

How far along are you?

Much better than I was. I'm trying to be excited and optimistic but I won't feel totally secure until 2nd tri I think.

When is your next appointment? 
First appointment is tomorrow bc my Dr has been away.

 I want my US as soon as I can so I can see that everything is okay but I don't want to go alone in case it's not. DH works out of town and is on every day next week so I don't know if I should wait longer or just go alone.

GTKY:  What is your favorite place that you have been? Where would you love to go and haven't?  
I love Berlin and Prague but also love exploring Canada. I've been to every province but Newfoundland so that's on the list. I've also never been to NYC so I'd love to go there!

Hi ladies. This is my first post on TB though I've been lurking TTCAL and TTGP for several months, so I recognize many of you (not a creeper, I swear!). MC in September 2016 at 7 weeks. It was an unexpected pregnancy but so welcome and my husband and I were so excited for it (we were planning to start trying that fall regardless). Started trying again right away. Now due September 20-ish. Can't date more precisely since I stopped charting in December due to nerves and overall sadness after two anovulatory cycles after MC. 

How far along are you? 
5W-ish? trying not to get too specific with a countdown until my first u/s next week. 

How are you doing?
Up and down like many of you. @BigBadWolf12 @RedBreast35 yesterday was the first day I found myself thinking "when" not "if" since I had my first bout of bad nausea (had none with my MC)... Now it's gone today and I'm a wreck again. :-/

When is your next appointment? 
First u/s next Thursday. I had blood drawn last Tuesday and the levels were high vs my first pregnancy, but I didn't do another beta afterwards. Argh I don't understand how I am supposed to pass the time until the u/s like a normal person capable of normal person activities and not a nervous wreck who just reads message boards all day.....

 None now. My symptoms (nausea and sore boobs) have been coming and going but I have googled that to death enough to know that can be normal. 

GTKY:  What is your favorite place that you have been? Where would you love to go and haven't? 
Oooh. I loved loved Scotland (especially the Isle of Skye, basically the prettiest place I've ever seen) and St. Lucia. Very different vacations but both wonderful! I want to go to the national parks in the American SW... Arches, Grand Canyon, etc.

I had a MMC at 8 weeks after we saw a HB a week before in April but baby stopped growing at 6+3, and I had a traumatic SCH and D&C at 7 weeks in August.

How far along are you? 6+6, but by EDD I'm 7+0.

How are you doing? I was thinking my symptoms were going away, but they have a crazy way of popping up! I have heavy dense sore boobs (nipples not standing up like they used to a few days ago though) and I have nausea, and terrible gas/bloat and diarrhea. I also threw up for the first time taking out the trash!! These are the most symptoms I've ever had, so I'm trying to keep my faith up!

When is your next appointment? Friday 1/27 @ 8+1 (8+2 LMP)


Rant/Rave/Questions? I have symptoms yay! Btw, boobs kicked in like 5 weeks for me, and nausea only started like 6+3.
 

GTKY:  What is your favorite place that you have been? Where would you love to go and haven't? I really loved Antigua! The island is beautiful, and the local people are so nice and interesting! I would love to go to Ireland/Scotland.

I had a MC in May '16 at 6+5. It was a very painful and difficult experience that I really struggled with. We started TTC again in November, and got our second BFP this month.

How far along are you? 
5 weeks tomorrow

How are you doing?
Better. At first I wasn't letting myself get excited about it. I got the BFP on Monday and didn't even tell my husband until Wednesday night. I had to confirm and reconfirm it was positive with 5 different tests before I really believed it. Now that we've been talking about it and dreaming and thinking of names, I feel excited and hopeful, though there's a part of me that's really anxious about whether or not it will stick.

When is your next appointment? 
February 16.

How on earth did people get through pregnancy without Google? Honestly, if anyone got a hold of my search history I'd have to move and start a new life.

GTKY:  What is your favorite place that you have been? Where would you love to go and haven't?
My husband and I went to Asheville NC last February and had a great time. I'd love to go again in the spring/summer. I would love to go to Ireland or Italy sometime. In the US, I would love to see the Grand Canyon sometime.

How far along are you?  depending on the app, but I am 5wks 3days or 4days haha (my ticker change is Sunday). 

How are you doing? I am an emotional mess. 

When is your next appointment? I meet with the OB Nurse at the Naval Hospital here next Monday Jan 23 for my OB intake appointment and to review bloodwork that I gotta go do this week.


Rant/Rave/Questions? Hubs is gone til week 13, and I am struggling. I feel so paranoid and I just want a hug from the hubby to ground me...8 more weeks until that'll happen tho. But today is also our 3 year Wedding Anniversary! AND!! *drumroll* he found out today that he could get submitted early for orders!! The command we REALLY want posted this month, but his window to select orders isnt until next month, and his detailer said he can submit him this month! FX that we get them! - these orders will send us back to Virginia...WHERE I AM FROM, and where my family is! Downside...we will have a 2+month old baby and moving from Florida to hopefully VA right before the holidays with pets. Either way I am so excited!
 

GTKY:  What is your favorite place that you have been? Where would you love to go and haven't? My favorite place that I have been? I have a top 3. When i was a teenager I spent 1 month in Hawaii staying with a family member stationed there, and visited my mom's family in Panama (the country), and for our honeymoon we went to Grand Bahama Island, Bahamas. I would LOVE to go to Europe, specifically Rome, Italy!

How are you doing? I'm not really letting myself believe that this pregnancy will be different from the last, and keep saying if, not when. I got my bfp a week ago and have been to scared to even call my OB to make an appointment, but this morning I decided to try and stop being scared and act like I'm pregnant, so I've spent the morning looking at baby gear and will be calling my OB tomorrow.

When is your next appointment? Not sure, since I've been too chicken to call the OB for an appointment 


Rant/Rave/Questions? finally starting to get some mild nausea and sore boobs, which is a rave since the lack of symptoms has been freaking me out 
 

GTKY:  What is your favorite place that you have been? Where would you love to go and haven't? probably Napa, I went there this summer and absolutely loved it. Next on my list would be Italy, but I guess not this year

Yes, my family is in VA (14hr car ride) and his family is in California (30+hrs away). I have some famiy in Florida but they are 6hrs away but i dont plan on sharing the pregnancy with them until the 1st trimester is over. I only told my mom so she would come to town for the 8wk u/s. His parents dont know yet. Luckily i have a really great girl friend here who has 2 kids and has had multiple losses and her last pg was when the guys were gone and I helped her. So i do have a little bit of a support team here. 

but i am so glad your mom has come around! this is a time to surround yourself with positivity!

6+3

How are you doing?
I'm doing well. No morning sickness yet, just lots of aversions, and smaller symptoms. Oh, and I have no lung capacity anymore- I can't even walk and talk at the same time. Also I go to the doctor in an hour to find out if I have strep throat, which is no bueno.  

When is your next appointment? 
Monday, 1/23- only five days until our first ultrasound! I think once I see that, I'll be able to breath a little easier.

GTKY:  What is your favorite place that you have been? Where would you love to go and haven't? 
I love big cities- San Fransisco, NYC, Toronto, Chicago, St. Louis, Boston. And I really enjoyed the Grand Canyon and the mesas of New Mexico, which are surprisingly breathtaking. Also, my in-laws live in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts, which are just incredible in spring and summer. 

As for where I want to go, the answer is pretty much everywhere, haha! Thailand, India, Madagascar, everywhere in Europe, Costa Rica (to hold a sloth!), Japan, New Zealand. We had a trip planned to Scotland and England for this fall, which will obviously have to be postponed. We even had a Harry Potter tour set up! But I suppose this baby is a good trade off.

@amandarene112 omg I want to go to Madagascar too!!! I LOVE lemurs!! DH drove me to Georgia to a place that has lemurs for an encounter and it was awesome! I love exotic animals

@firefly0928 If you go back to Asheville, visit poet Carl Sandburg's home! The house itself is really nice, but the grounds of the house are just gorgeous.

@LaceyC1020 I love exotic animals also! The San Diego zoo had an exhibit where the lemurs run around at will, and you can walk through it. The first time we went, a lemur licked my foot! It's still one of my favorite moments. I would just die if I ever got to see one in the wild!

@amandarene112  I went to a little zoo near where I got married specifically to hold a sloth, only to be told the sloths were in a fight with each other and not in the temperament to be held that day.  

I did get to hold a baby kangaroo, though!

@HollyGolightly09 I'd never heard of that, I just googled a bunch and found that I was usually above the ranges. I just found this, if it's what you're talking about and I see im within the range, at the highest end...
unless I ovulated later, say I was actually 29 days past ovulation, which I'm thinking might be what happened. Makes me feel a lot better, thanks for the help!!

@HollyGolightly09 That is so amazing!! I don't think there are many animals I wouldn't want to pet/hold (except snakes. Snakes and I do not get along.), but that kangaroo is particularly precious!

@LaceyC1020 and @amandarene112 Lemurs & Sloths are my fave! We live right next to a zoo actually that has a lemur habitat that i love love love. I call them all King Julian haha

@HollyGolightly09 when i visited my family in Panama, I got to hold and pet a sloth! a random man who had retired to panama from WISCONSIN had him as a pet! i gotta find the picture in one of my scrapbooks (jeeeze it was like 14 years ago now) and there's an exotic animals place here where you can play with sloths. When we lived in South Florida we went to the Miami zoo and the sloth came right up to me in his habitat, i told my hubs that the sloth new i loved him...which he returned with an eye roll as i was almost in tears of joy haha.

I had a missed miscarriage last fall (9 weeks but only measuring 5-6 weeks).  Very painful experience.  But I don't have to tell you!  Found out I was pregnant again on Christmas morning.

How far along are you? 
7 weeks and 2 days!

How are you doing?
So so so much better today.  I didn't get to hear a heartbeat in the fall so part of me couldn't even believe it would be possible.... Today I heard the heartbeat (141 bmp) and that everything looked good.  I'm so relieved; I was holding so much stress and worry leading up to this appointment over the past few weeks.

When is your next appointment? 
Mid-feb.

GTKY:  What is your favorite place that you have been? Where would you love to go and haven't?
I am half French so I would have to say Evian, France (where the water comes from!).  It's in the Alps on Lake Geneva on the Swiss border.  Beautiful place.

@LaceyC1020 The zoo by my house is the Gulf Breeze Zoo, i havent held one, they have a rotation of animal encounters including the Kangaroos, i havent been there on a lemur day. but the habitat it's really close up not really fenced in. the Miami zoo had a large Lemur habitat also.

@margareth I totally started crying when I saw the heartbeat of my DD...I'll probably lose my shit WHEN I see the heartbeat of this little one!! SO glad you saw it today!

Let's start with a short intro for those who weren't with us last week, and as a refresher for everyone else. 
Hi ladies! DD1 born in Sept 14 a week after I turned 41. MMC at 8wks (baby measured just over 6w) in April 16 and had been TTC since last July...BFP on Jan 6 (same day 3yrs later that I found out I was pregnant with my DD and I have the same due date based on LMP! Ovulated on Christmas...best gift ever.

How far along are you? 
Like @lahearn18, depending on the App..5w3d or 5w4d...ticker change on Sunday

How are you doing?
Mentally up and down but feeling pretty good and at peace in that I have no control over this...and that nothing is my fault...and that I DESERVE this pregnancy...i'm worthy!

When is your next appointment? 
2/1 for my first ultrasound...two weeks and it can't come quick enough.

Rant/Rave/Questions?
 Only symptom is sore boob...mostly when I get up to pee in the middle of the night or right when I take my bra off. Was bloated but today I feel a little less so. I guess that it's a rave and a rant all at once!

GTKY:  What is your favorite place that you have been? Where would you love to go and haven't? 
Italy hands down. Hubby and I flew to Barcelona and did a 12 day Med cruise to France, Italy, Greece and Croatia and then stayed another night in Barcelona...was awesome. Nothing better than wine tasting in Tuscany or walking along the shore in Cinque Terre. Loved Alaska as well...something so awe-inspiring about those mountains and seeing bald eagles just fly about in the wild...
I've always wanted to climb Machu Pichu but doubting that it'll happen...at 43 i'm kind of like meh, maybe I should sit my ass on a beach instead of hiking a mountain lol. I'd love to go to Turks and Caicos or go sailing for a few weeks in the Caribbean... and randomly, I'd like to go to Montana. Be cool to stay in a B&B and look out at all that snow and the mountains...
