Because we put her down for a nap and she started to fall asleep. Don't you know? Naptimes are for jumping on the bed and giggling. We don't nap anymore during naptimes.

  • My 5 year old had a meltdown this morning because she woke me up, to get ready for school....but she was still tired.

My two year old had a meltdown because I wouldn't let her eat the raw meat that's defrosted for dinner .
  • Because I wouldn't let him throw the dirty diaper he dug out of the trash can around the house  :|

  • Because MH gave him a piece of bread he (DH) had broken in half.  Then when he cried DH gave him an unbroken piece which made him cry even more.
  • We have the diaper issue, except the opposite way. She's constantly asking to have the diaper changed because it's "stinky". Even when we take it off and look and see there's nothing in it. Or if she sees someone else getting their diaper changed or one of us going to the bathroom, then she needs hers changed as well.

The trash thing by @chickyclg made me think of another one. It didn't result in tears, but... I threw an apple into the trash because it was all brown and spotted. DD threw something else away, saw it, pulled it out, and came trotting into the living room about to bite into it. "Nonononono, we don't eat food out of the trash!!"  :p

  • Not tears, but he has to be contrary about everything. Every. Thing. Example: "that's honeydew melon", "no mommy, it's cantaloupe"..."look at the ground, it snowed a little last night (pointing to the tiniest dusting of snow)", "no mommy, it snowed a lot not a little bit"..."do you see the cars on the highway?", "not cars, mommy. it's a train"...
