  • @vic311 that is great news!! As long as it doubles that's all that matters!!

@singlegeneme you are PUPO! Hope the next 10 days fly by!

@lefemmeviolette I hope you're starting to feel better!!

Ive had some light cramping on and off but am trying not to pay too much attention to it. I think my cold/cough is finally on it's last legs. Spent the day baking for a competition at DHs work this week and think I'll prob be baking up a storm for the reminder of the TWW- I find it so relaxing! Anyone have any suggestions of go to favorite baking recipes?
  • Still feelin' pretty crappy over here. Fever finally hit 100 last night so I took some Tylenol to bring it down. It hasn't hit 100 yet today, but I'm assuming it will at some point tonight.

    @Winnie81
i have been going to Houston Fertility Institute since 2009. They are #1 in Texas for Success Rates and are first class. I got preggo with 1 cycle of IVF with my son in 2009 and I got preggo again with just 1 cycle of IVF with my daughter in 2011. I used Dr Haddad in those days and he was excellent! Vanessa at the Katy office is the bomb! She is amazing helping me through. I got preggo with my next daughter in 2013 on my own but they jumped right in to get me on a hormonal protocol so I wouldn't miscarry. When we tried to go for our FET with our embys from 2009 we found out that Dr Haddad was more on the business side now but he suggested Dr Whitz who I already met once before for monitoring back in 2011 when dr Haddad was not available.
if you are ever searching to switch I highly recommend HFI. They are the state leaders in RE and top in the country.
oh and I used to live in Houston born and raised. Moved to SA in 2007 and now we just moved to Dallas! But I always travel back to Houston for my fertility needs! The success has been too good.

  • @SingleGeneMe So glad your transfer went smoothly! FX for you :)

    @BecauseLove Good luck tomorrow!

@APM_SLP I'm sorry for your loss :( But congrats on the BFP!

AFM with the calendar I got from my doctor my next appointment is the 12th and if everything looks good we will be triggering either that night or the day after which means my transfer would be either the 19th or the 20th. I'm really hoping for the 19th so I can have a four day weekend to recover and relax and all before going back to work.

  • Have any of you had an endo scratch? I've read that it can help with implantation but if I decide to do it, I'd have to put my FET off a month.

  • @lilmissslp I had the ERA done so it was basically an endo scratch. My RE said that recent studies have shown it can help and we hurried up to do another transfer to take advantage. Not sure if it was that or the different protocol I'm on, but my lining has been the best it's ever been (which still isn't all that great, but I'll take any improvement!)

  • Thanks so much for the input @mtpbadger. I'm glad it helped you. I'm very torn. I want to do anything to help but hate the thought of putting off our transfer for another month after already waiting 3+ months.

  • @lilmissslp that is a tough decision - my last transfer was canceled due to thin lining but since I had already been on the meds, we just converted it to the ERA/scratch and the timing worked out pretty well. I know my RE had been hesitant when I brought it up in in the past as there's not a TON of research on it and my clinic actually did their own small study and didn't find a huge improvement but we were grasping at straws so did the ERA to see if it would tell us anything.

@lefemmeviolette hope your fever has gone/stayed down!!

@becauselove good luck today! Thinking good thoughts for you!

  • @BecauseLove GL today I hope everything goes well.
@SingleGeneMe I'm sorry I didn't wish you gl yesterday in my mind we didn't have any transfers till today even though I knew yours was the 8th I guess I just didn't think about a Sunday transfer. I hope your getting some well needed rest today.
@Vic311 What a great beta keep us up to date please.

I will have to go back through and look at the instagram stuff I have an account but not for IF. Never really thought about it. I kinda use this as my journal. If I can get a BFP again I'll add some things to my pregnancy journal that I have from this forum.

AFM- this seems like the longest 20 days ever waiting for my transfer date. The funny thing is I can't wait till Wed when I can go to 4 patches cause this 3 patches is killing my OCD my tummy has no pattern with 3 patches. I seem to feel really crampy and blah when I increase my patches for the day but other than that I'm feeling and doing fine. Listening to everyone's numbers I'm anxious to see where my numbers are on Friday CD13. My first 2 FET's my linning was less than 7 at my check but I was never canceled because of it.

  • @rainbowwishes5 the struggle is real lol :D As for your lining, I think type 3 lining is trilaminar, or triple lining. I believe it is the optimal grading of the lining for your lining, but I am not 100% sure (pretty sure though).

  • @rainbowwishes5 I don't see why it would be canceled because of the follicle, maybe delayed until you can trigger ovulation so you make the right amount of hormones? You only need a follicle for the hormone production anyway.

  • Is anyone else going to be eating Brazil nuts after their transfer? I read an article that says the selenium in Brazil nuts can help implantation and help prevent MC. Also, for those eating pineapple, do you know how much fruit without core I would have to eat to get a good amount of bromelain? I tried eating the core once and it did not go well.

  • @BecauseLove Congratulations!

Everyone - can you explain to me about hatching? I know that my clinic does assisted hatching on all embryos. Is this different than the hatching that you're showing on your pictures? My transfer picture of my embryo just looks like a circle - no hatching. Is it because it was already hatched before they put it in?

  • mtpbadger Love how small the world is. I work in our version of a community college now and we had classes including my life long learning programming start today...so you know best timing ever to be out on 48 hour leave. :) I did a fair share of calling in and problem solving today. I sure hope that your Monday went ok. Such a bummer that the situation is so much more complicated with management. So funny about the ma'am part.  Are you feeling better?

Funny about the north shore. My SIL worked at Wolf Ridge for several years, my DH has worked in Lutsen since he was 18. We live about another 20 mins up north in Cook County.

Why does your clinic do the beta so much later?

How did the baking completion go?

    ilmissslp Thank you! :)

thucks Thanks! :) How has been getting the sticky goo from the patches off your tummy going?

SwtAnana We have similar thoughts about transferring. We just transferred 1. I recommend massaging the spot before injection and then getting some of those hot hands heaters with sticky tape on it to tape it to your underwear or pants to keep heat on it...so far that has really prevented much soreness...the only time I didn't do it I got super sore in the afternoon. I am so sorry you have to push back! Hopefully your estrogen numbers get where they want them.

    rainbowwishes5 Thank you!! :)

krisnjoe Time is flying!! Your transfer date is coming in no time!! So exciting!!

Vic311 Thank you! :) So excited by your good Beta Numbers!!!

    Worldtravler0522 Thank you! :)

Joslynj11 Thank you! :) Can you ask HR for her address to send the cookies? Otherwise yummy cookie eating for you!

Winnie81 How was your date night? Sounded so fun! (Oh I just read where you said you didn't go....for sure cuddling in can be just as good. Glad your BW/US went well! My dr said they wanted estrodil level at 200 plus mine was at 207 and they were worried that was on the low side so your probably good. :)

    FX for your tomorrow!!

jodes727 So glad your lining is looking good!!

JESSABER0414 I have heard about avoding soy as it turns into estrogen which can then be a component that is part of some people and breast cancer.

LeFemmeViolette Sure hope your feeling better! It just sucks so much to be sick! Hope you tucked in for the snow and got to maybe enjoy a snow day?

    Netflix:
Tv Shows: Grace and Frankie, New Girl, Bob's Burgers, Call the Midwife, Grey's Anatomy, Leverage, Madam Secretary, Lie to me, The League, Skin Wars, Private Practice, Life, Crossing Jordan, Crashing, Army Wives, Breakout Kings, Scrubs, 30 rock, The wonder years, Grounded for Life, The crown, When calls the heart,
Movies: Spotlight, CBGB, The Summit, Man Up, imitation game, finest hours,
Documentaries: Valley Uprising, Barkely Marathon, Fittest On Earth, Somn, Somn: Into the bottle, The first monday in may, Iris, Inspired to ride, finding traction, Dior and I

Ok that was just some of the ones I have enjoyed off of netflix. :)

APM_SLP So happy to see those lines for you!!

SingleGeneMe So glad your transfer went well! I hear ya about this next wait not being so bad...though I will be curious to see if the beta to ultrasound time frame feels like forever or not. :)
