Re: JANUARY FET BUDDIES

  • @BecauseLove good luck today :)

Had a lining check today and I'm at 12 but no triple band yet so yay but boo. RE wasn't too concerned though and kept me at Estrace twice a day instead of uping it.  We go back Wednesday and we will get to schedule our transfer that day!

Happy Friday ladies!! I feel like every time I get back to the boards I get back to so much exciting stuff!! How are our PUPO ladies?! When are we going to start getting betas?

@BecauseLove Good Luck today, I hope everything goes great and that you get the green light to transfer on Monday!!

@Worldtravler0522 Holy moly 12 is awesome!! You should be ready for transfer any minute :) I hope I can make it to 12, are you doing anything special diet wise?

@mtpbadger so sorry to hear you've been so under the weather. I think it's definitely good that you took the extra time from work especially if its a stressful environment. Oh and thanks for the information on the meditation podcast :) I plan to start listening to them today, but I wanted to see if you had any you really liked or any ones your suggest?

@amanning2011 Awesome news about AF! GL at your appointment today!!

@rainbowwishes5 I am SOO glad that they are going with what you want and it's so exciting you have your expected transfer date! I'll be right behind you :)

@LeFemmeViolette How are you feeling lady? Is your cold starting to go away?

@Vic311 any updates from you on line progression? Are you still testing?

    **child mention**
AFM: It has been a long past couple of days and very bittersweet. My mom left town on Tuesday morning and because DH and I didn't get much time together this past weekend we decided to play hookie and stay home and I was trying to make a ton of cookies and wanted some time in kitchen. If anyone remembers from the past you might remember me mentioning my co-worker/desk mate has been pregnant and progressing right in front of me the last 9 months. We used to be fairly close until her pregnancy and I haven't been willing or open to talking to her about anything pregnancy related since it's painful for me (talk about an awkward 9 mos). Anywho, a few weeks ago I decided I would make some cookies for her to have at home after delivery and write her a little card letting her know that even though I wasn't the most vocal I was still happy and thinking of her. I worked on these cookies for like 4 days but when I got to work on Wednesday morning my boss said she was having contractions but she came into work that day anyway. I stayed up late to finish that night but it was too late, she didn't come to work yesterday :( So now I have all these cookies and don't know how to get them to her since I don't plan on visiting her and baby for awhile you know. I tried to get with one of her friends on Facebook to see if she can pick them up from me but I am still waiting to hear back. If I don't hear something before today then I guess i'll just take them back home. DH said I was being mean because I didn't text her right away to congratulate but he's really just trying to help. He's sad that we don't talk because of the pregnancy but he understands why I can't.

So yeah that was my week haha. I just can't wait until February so I can finally get ready to try and have my dreams come true again. I only hope that they do come true this time!!

P.S. Sorry for the book

  • @vic311 how are you feeling?

@worldtravler0522 whoa 12 is awesome! Come on triple stripe!

@becauselove hope your drive down to the cities went well and everything goes well at your blood work this morning! Any plans over the weekend while you're there? I know it's supposed to be frigid so hope you are able to stay warm! We used to go up near Lutsen and Tofte for quite a few summers. Then we started going to a campground near Itasca for years and years as it wasn't quite as far. I have fond memories of that area!! For school trips we always used to go up to Wolf Ridge (I think near Finland?) and that was always a blast! When me and my husband were there two summers ago, we drove up to Goosberry Falls, Split Rock Light house and he loved it!

@lefemmeviolette how are you doing? I think my cold is FINALLY on it's way out, hope yours is as well!

@krisnjoe FX that your lining gets there today!
  • @vic311 and @mtpbadger your embies are so beautiful! I cannot wait to see mine. She will be framed as well.

I'm so sorry to you ladies that are sick right now. It sucks that most of the medicine that helps relieve the symptoms are on the ban list during this time.

AFM: Just got back from more BW. They said my estradiol and progesterone numbers were great from Wednesday! I cannot wait until Tuesday. Actually I can't wait until the 20th when our beta is. I'm going on a date tonight with DH, and it has been so long. We have been trying to get our finances in order and do the Dave Ramsey debt snowball, so this will be a nice way to treat ourselves before the transfer.
TTC #1: March 2011 (slightly before)
    Fur-children: 3 dogs + 2 cats (all rescued)
    dx: Endometriosis and Fibroids
2 Laps and 1 Abdominal Myomectomy
    6 rounds of clomid
    5 rounds of iui
Several HSG's sprinkled throughout the years to up my chances of a BFP
Several dilation of cervix because they suspect the scar tissue is hindering it from fully opening (partially adds to the severe cramps all month)
IVF #1 Gonal F, Menopur and Cetrotide
    ER 12/1/2016
    ER-Retrieved 22 eggs 10 fertilized
4/4 day 5 embryos were normal for PGS!!! 2 boys/2 girls
    FET 1/10/2017
    Gallbladder surgery 1/10/2017
FET estimated end of Feb, beginning of March

  • @joslynj11 I started with some of the shorter ones (Awareness; Harnessing Positive Energy; Inner Calm; Meditation for Rest) and have basically been doing those on repeat for the past few days. My mind tends to wander easily so the shorter, the better!

My beta is a full 13 days after transfer (cue the violins) so not until 01/17. I'm usually good the first week since I know symptoms won't really be noticeable still. I'm sure I'll be busy back at work next week so hopefully that will keep my mind off of things!
  • @Winnie81 Ekk! So exciting to hear BW/US went well, Tuesday will be here before we know it!!!!

  • @Joslynj11 can you mail the cookies??? I know my aunt mailed some homemade ones clear across the country for Xmas. Also- you are NOT mean- you are in pain and trying to cope as best you can and in your own time. If people can't/won't understand then there is nothing *you* can do to change their behaviors.

  • @rainbowwishes5 yay for getting started!!
  • @mtpbadger Unfortunately, it's stronger than ever. : ( Went in to work yesterday when it was just a small cough. But today woke up and it's one of those gross coughs, and much more frequent, too. So I'm sparing my coworkers and working from home today. Though, my day consists of 4 hour-long phone calls so I may just lose my voice today.

Also, a little concerned that I have a super low-grade fever of 99.1. Just hoping this won't effect implantation!

  • @lefemmeviolette oh no! Hope you can get some good rest this weekend! After doing WAY too much googling yesterday, it seems having a cold (even a bad one with a low grade fever) shouldn't impact implantation. In fact, some stuff I read said it can actually help it bc your body is focused on fighting the cold and doesn't notice the embryo has a potential foreign object. FX there's truth to that!

I made add the mistake of remotely logging in to the campus email account (where I can also check voice messages). Ugh, I am in for it Monday morning.
  • @vic311 CONGRATULATIONS!! Omg I am so so so happy for you! Hopefully you've started a good trend for this group!!

  • Yay @vic311 such great news!

I had my u/s and b/w this am.  I was very nervous for this appointment, because my last FET was canceled due to thin lining. We barely got to 7 mm last time and my clinic wants me to be at least at an 8.  So today when I went in, they were able to measure my lining at 8.1 and 8.5 mm and I still have just under two weeks before my FET. I was so excited to see the difference in my lining this time around.  After so many hurdles, this feels like a major victory :-)

I hope the pupo ladies have a great weekend and stay busy during the tww.

    Happy Friday!

  • @Joslynj11 I wish I had a good answer for you that I did something to make it thicker but fortunately/unfortunately the one thing my body actually knows how to do is produce thick lining.  It could also be the excessive amount of Lucky Charms I've eaten lately :D

@Winnie81 enjoy your date!  Sometimes in the middle of all this madness I feel like we lose touch with our significant others so a date is a great idea!

    @jodes727 congrats on the lining!

  • @vic311 congratulations!!!!! This group really brightens my day.

@Worldtravler0522 Thanks!! Unfortunately we didn't go, it is too cold outside, lame excuse i know! It is 25 right now, and will be 80 next week. Cant get used to this weather. I think this is our first freeze, and it will be sleeting so I don't want to drive across town in that environment.

Question: I got my results for todays blood work back. The nurse messaged me saying its normal (it was a "do not reply" text), but do you guys have an actual reference range that you can look at? My estradiol on Wednesday was 365, and today it was 279. I started taking 2 patches instead of 1, but wasn't sure if this seemed low. My transfer is on Tuesday. My progesterone today was 9.48. Any input would help calm my nerves.

  • @Winnie81 I would love to know, but I found out Wednesday at my lining check, that my office doesn't routinely even check the estrogen or progesterone levels leading up to the FET. She said, we could draw it but we don't make decisions based on that number, only the way the US looks (tri-laminar and at least 7mm). She really doesn't believe in progesterone levels in the blood because there is such a variance dependent on time of day, temperature, etc. So, I am taking that as a good thing, because at least I don't have to obsess about best numbers. But since your REs want this number, I'm concerned the need for it must have some merit!

  • @lilmissslp I may have followed you on my personal account. I follow several IVF journey pages and they are great. I wish I would have started some form of journaling at the beginning of this, but I'm hoping (if we get pregnant) that I will add a few pages to the baby book and include every detail and tmi picture that i took along the way. I want our baby to know how much we wanted her. :)

@JESSABER0414 that is actually comforting to hear that the numbers are subjective at this time. My clinic does some things differently compared to some people on this board, but I'm just going to try and have faith in what they are doing, because they have an 80% success rate for PGS single embryo transfers.

  • Ugh, this cold, man.

Temp is now up to 99.4 and I'm afraid to take anything. I literally had a coughing/gagging fit so bad during a work call today I had to get up and leave the room.

On top of that we're supposed to get an apocalyptic amount of snow here in the Raleigh area tomorrow. Blahhhhh

So far this TWW is kinda lame...
