PGAL Check-In

Re: PGAL Check-In

  • @Sugargirl1019 I I was wondering/worrying about that...I O'd early, do you think my OB isn't going to believe me? I've gone over the conversation of trying to convince him in my head numerous times and I'm not looking forward to it. I'm 5+2 but if you go by LMP it would be 4+5. I just worry he's going to put off my first u/s because he doesn't believe me or something.
    PS: hooray for good betas!

  • @rainbowturtles It's possible they won't see you for a 7 week dating u/s until you're 7+0 in their books.. but who actually gets in on 7+0? It's scary Oing late too... because you'll always measure behind and they'll be like well, let's do another in a week to scary we if baby continues to grow... and they freak you out when in reality baby was fine, just not that far along.

    @Sugargirl1019 fx for your bloodwork!
    @PurpleRains fx and yay!

First off, let's all introduce ourselves!
Hello all!  I live in upstate NY and have a DD who will be 3 in about a little over a week! We struggled with TTC #2 and suffered a MC followed by a ruptured ectopic.  I am now higher risk for another ectopic and holding my breath until I can get in for my first appointment for my blood draws.  I just switched OB's and had not had my initial visit yet so they won't see me any earlier than the appointment that I had already scheduled for my yearly exam. I should only be be 5 +3 then so hopefully it's early enough (my last ruptured at 7+6).

How far along are you? 4+1 based on O but I think Dr will put me at 3+6 based on LMP.

How are you doing? good.  Already feeling a little quesy and tired but I'll take it if it means out rainbow baby!

When is your next appointment? 1/16 for blood draws

Rant/Rave/Positive I love seeing all the TTGP grads here and I'm looking forward to spending the next 9+ months with you ladies!

GTKY:  Did you set a resolution for 2017?  I set a resolution to be healthier and we are currently doing a whole30 diet.  Hopefully it starts a great base for this pregnancy.

First off, let's all introduce ourselves!
Hello all!  I'm sable and I live in the Dallas area.  I just found out I'm pregnant with my second yesterday, about 4-5 weeks along!  I'm high risk because of Factor V Leiden and my history of severe early onset preeclampsia.  My daughter, Ella, was stillborn on August 24, 2016 at almost 26 weeks due to the preeclampsia.  She had severe IUGR and stopped growing at about 19 weeks.  It took my husband and I 14 months to decide to try again.  This time around I'm fully anti-coagulated on blood thinners (Lovenox), taking a baby aspirin daily, and on calcium and vitamin D supplements.  I plan to live at my OB and MFM's offices :)

How far along are you? 4+5 based on LMP

How are you doing? I'm...OK....I'm happy, excited, filled with dread, nervous, anxious, worried.  I have a little cramping and a little nausea, but otherwise I feel fine.  The insomnia has hit already though! ;)

When is your next appointment? Monday 1/9 for labs followed up with Wednesday 1/11 for labs and ultrasound.  I'm supposed to see my MFM by 6-8 weeks!

Rant/Rave/Positive My last TheBump experience was a little catty, so I'm looking forward to a refreshing and supportive Bump environment this time!  Also, one of my pups knows when I'm pregnant so he's been extra lovely the last couple of weeks and that feels oh so sweet :)

GTKY:  Did you set a resolution for 2017?  My resolution is to find/build my strength: emotional, physical, spiritual, relational strength.  I want to live authentically and healthily.  I'm also doing Whole30, strength training, kickboxing, and yoga to help prevent the preeclampsia!  I have a pregnancy goal to try and enjoy this pregnancy and baby.  I'm terrified to get attached but guilty not to.  It's a rough place to be!

I'm looking forward to talking to y'all more!

  • I'm so nervous to post here. I had 2 miscarriages in 2016, one in May, and one in September. I had testing done and tested a high indeterminate for anticardiolipin antibodies and low vitamin D. My due date should be September 17th, but I'm nervous because my test this morning looked lighter than the day before and this is how my miscarriage in September started. This time I'm on progesterone suppositories, vitamin d, baby aspirin, and prenatal vitamins. I want to get excited but I'm soooooo worried I'm going to miscarry again.
  • @heatherwilson321 I hope baby stays for you. Did your doctor ever talk about Lovenox injections? Everyone I know with APS take Lovenox injections to prevent blood clots from causing problems.

  • @Sugargirl1019 We discussed starting Lovenox  at our last meeting, they were going to wait till I got a positive test, and I found out Friday night, sigh, so I can't talk to anyone till Monday. She'll probably go ahead and fill the prescription then. I just really hope 2017 is a better year and I finally get my rainbow baby.
  • @heatherwilson321 it is so nice to see another TTCAL grad. FX for you and a sticky bean.

  • First off, let's all introduce ourselves!
I am a SAHM to a 9 month old girl, who may be the coolest kid ever (she is). I had a ruptured ectopic March 31, 2015, then gave birth April 3, 2016 to DD.

    How far along are you?
According to my LMP, I am 4w5d, but I am 100% sure I ovulated late because my only chances since my last period were Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

    How are you doing?
Very relaxed, actually. We decided to NTNP and see how things went. Both of us knew we wanted kids close together, so we decided to take a relaxed approach for a few months and then start being more focused. I think I got pregnant that day.....I was *so anxious* when I was pregnant with DD after my ectopic (which was both very physically and emotionally painful), but now that I know I can carry a pregnancy to term, I am less nervous. I have my first appointment in about a week and a half, which I am sure will be nerve-wracking, but for the time being, I am feeling good.

    When is your next appointment?
    January 18

    Rant/Rave/Positive
I am gearing up for nosy/inappropriate comments about having kids so close together and I am not looking forward to it.

GTKY:  Did you set a resolution for 2017?
    nope
  • @sableeg I'm so sorry about your sweet girl. You sound like a tough mama.  I'm also doing a whole30 if you ever want to swap recipes!

@HollyGolightly09 I'm also more nervous with each day that passes. I'm over analyzing ever twinge or lack thereof. I'm trying to just take each day 1 at a time and enjoy the bean that's with us today.

  • @sableeg so sorry about your sweet Ella.. I saw your bear in the other post, that is precious! Glad you are here with us!

@spiderlover25 I hate that you are struggling, too... but it is nice to know I'm not alone. Im trying to take it one day at a time, too. I keep telling myself "today you are pregnant... be happy about that."
    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @HollyGolightly09 I find that I have bad days and good days. A couple of days ago I woke up in the middle of the night and my boobs didn't hurt anymore. Since that was my first symptom to go  before my loss last time I freaked out and was up stressing for 3 hours before I calmed myself down enough to go back to sleep. PGAL brain can be so brutal sometimes.

@spiderlover25 I'm trying so hard to take this one day at a time too :) Failing miserably half the time but I figure this is as good a time as any to practice mindfulness!!
  • Hey everyone! I'm posting here though it may be early. I'm 39 & soon to be husband is 41. I'm estimating that I'm 4 weeks. 1st BFP today at 14 dpo. It was faint on the Wondfo but the FRER I took tonight was nice and dark.

No appointments yet. Will call Monday and try to get an order for betas before the first actual appointment. Since I have 2 prior losses & am "advanced maternal age" the doctor had said after my last that I'd be considered high risk now. My last loss was a MMC in August at 9 weeks. About broke me and now both me & my future hubby are hopefully optimistic though prepared for the worst.

I'm doing ok though nauseous. (I figured I was pregnant when I wasn't breaking out and cramping like I usually do at this point in to my cycle.)

Rant: I love sandwiches. My favorite is a turkey panini with pesto, tomatoes and both mozzarella and provolone cheese from a local deli. Bought one yesterday, took two bites and almost threw up. Wasn't bad, just didn't want to stay in my body. Tonight, we decided to have grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup. Well, all I'm eating is soup because the mere thought of something between bread is just making my stomach roll. I hope I get over this if I have a sticky bean. I really like sandwiches!

Each time I take a pregnancy test, I don't think it's possible for them to get any lighter than they already are, but somehow they do. I'm not optimistic at this point. I wish it was Monday already so I could go ahead and get my betas tested.
  • @Hollygolightly87 I'm not sure that I will ever stop worrying that something might go wrong until I have a healthy LO in my arms. It's just too nerve wracking.
  • @heatherwilson321

    *TW*

Just wanted to send you huge hugs and let you know you're not alone. I'm suffering through my first loss right now and it's so heartbreaking. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers and praying for a miracle. Hugs.
  • @Hollygolightly87 I get more nervous each day. It gets more real, so I get more attached/excited so I worry more. I'm so impatient i wish there was a way to know if the baby was okay every day   :/
  • So, I bought a pregnancy calendar on Prime to hopefully maintain excitement about this little one!  I filled it out this morning and really found myself fighting the "what's the point" thoughts.  When I would fill out the dates from 25 weeks and on, I kept thinking "I doubt I'll even last this long..."  It's so hard to maintain a present-focused mindset!  I did take another POAS this morning just to make sure!

Y'all, this PALS thing is so hard!  How are y'all getting through?  Does anyone go to support groups?

  • @PurpleRains I'm right there with ya sista in the AMA club!
@Sugargirl1019 I did the same thing! Texted my nurse practitioner and asked if I should wait til 8+1 & she said to come on in to check out HCG and Progesterone...bah. Hoping it calms the PGALbrain instead of make me feel more stressed!

First off, let's all introduce ourselves!
My name is Carrie...I live outside Houston, TX with my hubby of six years, our Sept 14 DD and our two fur babies: Stevie and Ali (2 of the fattest 10yo kitties ever). We moved here almost two years ago and before that, I lived and worked in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles for 20yrs...now I'm a sahm.
We were one and done as I gave birth to my daughter at 41. I had a surprise pregnancy that ended in a MMC and a D&C at 8wks in April 2016. After the initial shock of getting KU'd we were SO excited!  Our loss made us realize that wow, maybe we should try one more time. Took 7 months of temping, OPKs and a ton of sex but here we are!
And the kicker...found out I was pregnant three years to the day that I found out about DD and my due date is the same!!! Guess we make Christmas Day babies! What are the odds?!

    How far along are you?
    4w 1d

    How are you doing?
Pgal brain for sure. I'm excited and totally freaked out at the same time. When we decided to try again, I gave myself til the end of the year to get pregnant or I'd give up...so this was my last cycle. I'll be 44 (thankfully don't feel or look it but still...sheesh...FORTY FOUR! Gah!) when this baby is born. Trying to remain hopeful that we get to that Sept date...

    When is your next appointment?
Calling first thing in the morning for hcg/progesterone testing

    Rant/Rave/Positive
I'm SO damn tired and my DH is currently napping/snoring next to me and my 2+yo is singing that dreaded "Monkeys jumping on the bed" song on the monitor next to me when she's supposed to be napping.

It hasn't really gotten darker but I've done a weeks Clear Blue digi and two other digis over the past three days and they still say pregnant. I thought the cheapies were more sensitive...is it the other way around? I'm two days past my period start date so I would've thought the cheapies would start getting crazy dark lol

  • @Texafornian the cheapies are as sensitive. The First Response Early Response are some of the most sensitive of the HPTs that I am aware of. Clear Blue's early result test is another good sensitive test.

Like with most things you get what you pay for. The cheapy tests aren't as sensitive, but are great for POAS fever. The more expensive tests will tell you sooner.
  • I took another test today. The line was darker and it showed up quickly. Hoping that's a good sign!

I just got home a bit ago from my first appointment for lab work.  I go back on Wednesday for a repeat lab.  They just called and scheduled my first OB appointment and ultrasound for the 24th!  It seems a bit long to wait for me, but I will only be 7+1 weeks at that time.  I think I'm just anxious!

I also went ahead and scheduled my first appointment with my high risk MFM for the 31st at 8+1 weeks!

  • I peed on two different Wondfo brands and they're still equally light but the digis keep saying "Hurrah! You're knocked up!" So i'll go with that for now.
Had Betas drawn today at 15dpo...hcg was 99 (grrr but still ok I guess for 4wks) and my progesterone was 13.2...so picking up vaginal progesterone at the pharmacy this afternoon and going back for draw #2 on Thursday. Trying not to freak. I also bought three more digi tests to make myself better because like you said @Sugargirl1019 those bastards are RUDE!
