For me, CD 2 & 3 were awful in terms of bleeding and cramps, but other than that, I haven't had any side effects. It has actually been nice to not have cramps every day right now. This may all change when I start progesterone tomorrow, but its been a nice ride!

My lining only got to 8.2mm, but it is trilaminar and my doctor wasn't too worried about it, although it does make me a little nervous, since 8mm is the minimum my clinic likes to see.

@winnie81 I think my clinic likes to see linings anywhere above 7.5, but one of the nurses told me they have had successes with lining as thin as 6.5. So it sounds like you are right on track! Your FET will be here so soon.

@lilmissslp I get my prenatals from Whole Foods, and if I take them during the day I get very nauseated. A trick that works for me is to take them right before I go to bed. For some reason if I do this I don't have any nausea. If you can't get your rx vitamins, maybe you could give it a try!

@thucks my clinic puts them in the little cardboard frame with the date, embryologists name and she wrote us a little note too! My clinic just moved locations and this was her first transfer in the new location so we are all seeing that as good luck!
Feeling okay. Have been coughing more than I want to and just all around congested so hopefully that's not impacting anything. Was exhausted yesterday and just taking it easy today. If I'm still fighting this darn cold I'll probably call off work tomorrow, I don't want to go to work feeling slightly icky and prolong getting better. I'm going to try not to symptom spot but we all know how that goes! Had some twinges last night but it's prob just due to the transfer but wishful thinking is that it's the embies getting cozy!
@thucks I'm in the same boat as @mtpbadger . My cough is in full swing today- but at least it's a productive cough. Unfortunately, I am currently at work since today was a very busy day. We'll see how tomorrow goes.
Other than cold symptoms, I've really just been bloated and my lovehandles are sore from the PIO. (Also, I can't help but worry that we're not doing them in the right spots. I mean, we are, according to all the pictures and videos I've looked at, but like, I wish there was confirmation via a blood test to let us know I'm actually retaining progesterone in my body.)

Clinic update: Doctor never even called. Good thing I didn't rearrange my sched. Nurse wanted same release from consent from DH. So they got another email. @lefemmeviolette my cough is productive too which is good. Have you tried hot water with lemon and honey? It's worked wonders for me! This is a crazy busy time of year at work for me but DH was adamant that I put myself first, especially since my office environment is fairly toxic right now. I have the leave and while I feel bad I'm not able to serve the student veterans on my caseload this week, it is what it is. I brought a little work home as well so I don't feel so bad!
@rainbowwishes ugh I am so sorry you are dealing with such a headache still! I think that's a great plan to transfer both and FX no other hiccups come up!!
@Winnie81 unfortunately we have no idea what caused it. The vet said it can take up to 24 hours for a reaction to happen so it was probably something she got a hold of while we weren't home. They think she might have eaten a spider that bit her. Except for the shaved spots on her legs you would never know something happened

lilmissslp I actually take a handful of vitamins daily (all individually) because I was suppose to take them for IVF and also because when I have done a multi vitamin in the past it has made me feel sick. So this works well. I just take before bed.
rainbowwishes5 12/20-1/9 Depends what meds they put you on though and what your lining looks like etc. If you talk with your Dr today maybe you can get your meds ordered and here by CD 3 (which is when I started my patches. I started lupron before we got to this stage though (12/8 which was roughly 10 days before I got my cd 1). Hopefully all goes well at your baseline!
SwtAnana Excited for you! Time is flying all of a sudden. I just packed up last night to head to the Dr (5 hours away) after work tonight so that tomorrow I can do a blood test and Monday we can do our transfer. I am a bit freaked out but also excited. We just started PIO shots today.

@becauselove I work for the Dept of Veteran Affairs but am based at one of the local community colleges in northern Va (I actually go between two campus locations during the week) to assist any veterans using their VA educational benefits. So a LOT of walk ins! I also have a caseload of veterans with service connected disabilities that I manage while they are in school and then assist with employment/transition to a 4 yr school.
mtpbadger seriously that is a lot...a lot to have on your plate! Funny that your in Northern VA..my bestie from college grew up in Mananas Park area. I so hope you can find some balance with work and growing bean. It can be so hard having people feel like your responsible for their success or failure on what happens in school and then out of school. Job placement was a beast of a job for me even though I loved parts of it. At least the economy is a little better these days and there are benefits for hiring Vets (lots of pluses just because of their experience and knowledge but also money for employers etc).

@becauselove I adore the population I work with (for the most part) except for all of them calling me ma'am and making me feel old! With classes starting again Monday and the school being closed over the holidays it is just crazy. And the management at the school leaves a lot to be desired, same with my office. Mannasas Park isn't too far from me! What a small world!

@thucks We decided that our priority is whichever one is the best looking or most likely to survive. If we have a boy and a girl that both qualify as "the best", we would prefer to start with a boy. Either way we want it to remain a secret until later in the pregnancy! Gotta sneak the surprises in there when we can since so much of this process is planned out.
@Becauselove Ohhh it's so close! I'm supposed to start my PIO this upcoming Saturday. I can't wait! We only want to transfer one at a time at this point. My RE's group advocates transferring 1 at a time unless there is a special circumstance. I'd be open to doing 2 at a time at a later date if we have problems getting the embryos to stick and grow.

So I'm looking at OTC prentals now. I was having a very hard time finding a reasonable Rx that also contained DHA. I know someone mentioned Rainbow Light and I found one with DHA. Is anyone taking Nature Made + DHA or One a day Women's prenatal + DHA? The last two are very cheap so I'm curious if they are any good. The all contain similar folic acid and DHA. TIA!

@lilmissslp I have been taking the Nature Made Prenatal w/ DHA since July and I like them. They've never made me feel nauseated or anything. I've only ever taken chewable vitamins before this, but there aren't any chewables that have both DHA and iron. They are $14 for a 3-month supply on Amazon, so very reasonable!

@lilmissslp I also take the Nature Made with DHA and haven't had any issues. I take them with my dinner every night as I get nauseated if I take any vitamins in the morning.

I know my lining was super thick at my appointment before going on the birth control so I was expecting a super heavy period. Is it possible that even with a lighter period I'll still shed all of the old lining? Drinking herbal tea now to help relieve stress, lol.

@BecauseLove Thanks for asking! I go to the Dr first thing in the AM! So my lining needs to be at an 8 by tomorrow morning or no FET on the 11th. They will want me to go back in on Monday to check the lining again and then have FET on the 16th. When I went in this past Monday my lining was 6.6. Hoping to be at an 8 in the morning!

@lilmissslp - I used to take the vitafusion gummy prenatals, but ended up switching to the One A Day 1 prenatals cause the gummies don't have any iron, and I usually am low on iron to begin with. These are One A Day's "newer" vitamins...it's just 1 pill instead of 2, but it still contains DHA. I found that it's also a bit smaller than other prenatals, and pretty easy to swallow...I have trouble with the larger ones so I liked it that I found these ones... I always try to take it after eating breakfast, but I have had it on am empty stomach and it's never made me nauseous or anything...
Thanks so much @caseyw8784! I looked at the gummies and really love gummy vitamins but I saw there was no DHA in them so that's out. I'm leaning toward the one a day, lots of good reviews. I appreciate your input.

@winnie81 I think my clinic likes to see linings anywhere above 7.5, but one of the nurses told me they have had successes with lining as thin as 6.5. So it sounds like you are right on track! Your FET will be here so soon.
@swtAnana congratulations on the 5 perfect little embryos! Such great news. What type of healthcare are you in? I'm an orthopedic PA.
@lilmissslp I get my prenatals from Whole Foods, and if I take them during the day I get very nauseated. A trick that works for me is to take them right before I go to bed. For some reason if I do this I don't have any nausea. If you can't get your rx vitamins, maybe you could give it a try!
@jessaber0414 I am so sorry about your delay. A few more days will let your lining do its thing so that your little embaby has a nice comfy place to find a home. Hang in there-you're almost there.

Feeling okay. Have been coughing more than I want to and just all around congested so hopefully that's not impacting anything. Was exhausted yesterday and just taking it easy today. If I'm still fighting this darn cold I'll probably call off work tomorrow, I don't want to go to work feeling slightly icky and prolong getting better. I'm going to try not to symptom spot but we all know how that goes! Had some twinges last night but it's prob just due to the transfer but wishful thinking is that it's the embies getting cozy!
Other than cold symptoms, I've really just been bloated and my lovehandles are sore from the PIO. (Also, I can't help but worry that we're not doing them in the right spots. I mean, we are, according to all the pictures and videos I've looked at, but like, I wish there was confirmation via a blood test to let us know I'm actually retaining progesterone in my body.)

@lefemmeviolette my cough is productive too which is good. Have you tried hot water with lemon and honey? It's worked wonders for me! This is a crazy busy time of year at work for me but DH was adamant that I put myself first, especially since my office environment is fairly toxic right now. I have the leave and while I feel bad I'm not able to serve the student veterans on my caseload this week, it is what it is. I brought a little work home as well so I don't feel so bad!
@rainbowwishes ugh I am so sorry you are dealing with such a headache still! I think that's a great plan to transfer both and FX no other hiccups come up!!

lilmissslp I actually take a handful of vitamins daily (all individually) because I was suppose to take them for IVF and also because when I have done a multi vitamin in the past it has made me feel sick. So this works well. I just take before bed.
rainbowwishes5 12/20-1/9 Depends what meds they put you on though and what your lining looks like etc. If you talk with your Dr today maybe you can get your meds ordered and here by CD 3 (which is when I started my patches. I started lupron before we got to this stage though (12/8 which was roughly 10 days before I got my cd 1). Hopefully all goes well at your baseline!
SwtAnana Excited for you! Time is flying all of a sudden. I just packed up last night to head to the Dr (5 hours away) after work tonight so that tomorrow I can do a blood test and Monday we can do our transfer. I am a bit freaked out but also excited. We just started PIO shots today.
5 is a great number of eggies!! So happy for you! How many are you transferring and can you/or are you picking gender?

@becauselove I adore the population I work with (for the most part) except for all of them calling me ma'am and making me feel old! With classes starting again Monday and the school being closed over the holidays it is just crazy. And the management at the school leaves a lot to be desired, same with my office. @thucks We decided that our priority is whichever one is the best looking or most likely to survive. If we have a boy and a girl that both qualify as "the best", we would prefer to start with a boy. Either way we want it to remain a secret until later in the pregnancy! Gotta sneak the surprises in there when we can since so much of this process is planned out.
@Becauselove Ohhh it's so close! I'm supposed to start my PIO this upcoming Saturday. I can't wait! We only want to transfer one at a time at this point. My RE's group advocates transferring 1 at a time unless there is a special circumstance. I'd be open to doing 2 at a time at a later date if we have problems getting the embryos to stick and grow.

Thanks for asking! I go to the Dr first thing in the AM! So my lining needs to be at an 8 by tomorrow morning or no FET on the 11th. They will want me to go back in on Monday to check the lining again and then have FET on the 16th. When I went in this past Monday my lining was 6.6. Hoping to be at an 8 in the morning!

@lilmissslp - I used to take the vitafusion gummy prenatals, but ended up switching to the One A Day 1 prenatals cause the gummies don't have any iron, and I usually am low on iron to begin with. These are One A Day's "newer" vitamins...it's just 1 pill instead of 2, but it still contains DHA. I found that it's also a bit smaller than other prenatals, and pretty easy to swallow...I have trouble with the larger ones so I liked it that I found these ones... I always try to take it after eating breakfast, but I have had it on am empty stomach and it's never made me nauseous or anything...
