@GreenBean and @Chamomile my urine culture has also been heavily colonized by bacteria. Which bacteria did you guys get (lol). I have gbs and they also want me to go on antibiotics ( penicillin ) how is your one any different? I've asked for some time and I'm trying to make it better naturally, eating tons of probiotics and garlic. I doubt it will work but if you guys are currently having antibiotics I'd suggest to have lots and lots of water and probiotics just overdose on them
I'm 11 weeks today. I've been so lucky I've had no nausea this whole pregnancy. I can't sleep through the night at all (I've been waking up arounder 3-4:30 every night since 6 weeks) and I get the most INSANE hot flashes. Sometimes it literally feel like my skin is melting. Has anyone else had them?
I'm tired all. the. time. and have to nap at least once during the day. I'm also starting to get more headaches/feel thirsty all the time and no matter what I eat, I feel bloated and gross 24/7. I've basically been living off of fruit/veggie smoothies and carbs because the thought of meat makes me cringe (and I usually love meat). And I've been so lazy it's not even funny I have no energy to do anything. Really hope I start to feel more energized in a few weeks!
@zara4k I had E. coli. The antibiotics I was on made me so nauseous (and I was nauseous to begin with). I took lots of probiotics but unfortunately all I could do was get through it. Happily, that's all over now. I don't know exactly how Macrobid is different than penicillin, but I read that it's commonly prescribed for UTIs.
My boobs are like a crazy, growing, freak show. Seriously. I need new bras so badly but of course I'm a cheapskate and can't bite the bullet and just buy new ones.
For me, (I'm 14ish wks) it's been the same ol' symptoms everyone else has been dealing with. Off and on nauseous, if I eat or if I don't eat, headaches at night, clumsy, but my boobs are driving me nuts!! Yes it's nice to have cleavage that I don't normally have but if they aren't itchy and sore, it's now my nipps are burning !? So weird. I need to get a good maternity bra soon. Anyway, in early pregnancy, I had symptoms of UTI but turned out to be a bacteria infection. Fun. And if I don't stay hydrated, I start to get symptoms again. And I never feel like drinking. It's odd. But my pee is very yellow so I know I have to drink up more. Hope you all find some relief soon!! 6.more.months!!
@zara4k I had enterococcus which I've never had before - the UTIs I've had have always been E.Coli. Along with the Macrobid I've been drinking tons of water and taking probiotics as well as eating yogurt to try to keep the balance down there! I'm pretty sure you're on penicillin because group B strep doesn't respond to Macrobid.
AAARGH. The morning sickness is back. 3 days of relief and it's back. I know I shouldn't complain, but my stuffy nose is almost gone too, and I think they're related, and it makes me want to make myself all stuffed up again. Anything but nausea. I've had migraine problems, and I still would pick those over this.

@ashaw512 have you been to the dentist? I remember reading that pregnancy makes you more susceptible to gingivitis. And I think bleeding gums is the first symptom of gingivitis.

Not yet, my appt us next week. But with my 2nd they told me it was bc of the increased blood flow. Now I'm curious to see what they say.
@ashaw512 so according to Dr. Google, apparently gingivitis (in mild cases) is just inflamed/irritated/red gums. So I guess it's really the same thing. The extra blood flow will make them inflamed/red which makes them bleed. I guess that is mild gingivitis in a nutshell. I always thought it was more than that lol
@ashaw512 and @Rae1 When I was at my dentist a few weeks ago, he said to be on the lookout for what they basically consider "pregnancy gingivitis" - the increased blood flow can in fact cause redness/bleeding/irritation.
I can't remember what he said could help treat it - he just said that regular brushing and flossing should help prevent it.
@ashaw512 I had that really bad with my first pregnancy and my dentist wasn't concerned. But beware, it's gonna be a blood bath at your dentist appointment! I would literally be talking to patients and my front gums would start bleeding. So freaking embarrassing. I would carry around a tissue to dab them privately if it started...honestly just typing that made me disgusted. Good luck at your appointment!!

Sorry for the poor man's siggy...ticker won't load regardless of how many tips I read.
I had horrible heartburn last night so bad I got nauseated and threw up. While vomiting I peed my pants. Like a lot.
I'm so sorry. This happens to me almost daily. I have such morning sickness I am wearing a heavy liner to catch pee while puking. So glamorous, right?! I have a 15 month old and it happens since his birth, if I puke. I hate it.
one of my struggles was whether to vomit or pee first! Usually my vomiting could be held in for just a bit or was brought on my brushing my teeth, so I knew to pee before brushing.
@Itsnotyourturn Since having my son, I have peed myself more times than I cared to admit (he's 3). Every time I vomit, sneeze, laugh too hard, do jumping jacks, or just wait too long, I might have an accident. It's rather embarrassing. I've learned to pee pretty much immediately after I feel the slightest urge. No fun.
@ginger1228, I think the pain from the heartburn eclipsed my full bladder sensory because I had no idea I needed to pee, but next time I will definitely pee first. *mortified*
@LoveLee85 I am so sorry this happening to you too. I'm going to buy liners asap.
Does anyone have any tips on dealing with bloating? I'm really struggling with extremely painful bloating, it is making it difficult to eat. For hours after a meal my stomach feels SO full- there's so much pressure in my lower abdomen it feels like it's going to burst. It's like that even if I eat a very small amount

Ugh I wish I had an answer for you, because I'm dealing with the same thing. The only thing I can suggest is maybe not eat so much at one time? I need to take my own advice on that one...
@tripledaggerWed95976 I've heard that lemon water helps bloating, but I honestly have never had it bad enough to try (sorry). It might be worth a shot though if you can stomach it.

I'm getting that weird achy/heavy feeling in my pelvis too! It's so hard to describe! Also had my first really bad RLP moment after sneezing just now... yikes!
...still waiting for the energy boost over here lol

@tripledaggerWed95976 I had severe bloating over Christmas and know how uncomfortable it can be. I don't really have anything to offer by way of suggestions other than to drink a ton of water, even if that sounds less than appealing. Upping my water intake and taking a probiotic helped me a lot. Also, I seemed to have developed a dairy sensitivity during pregnancy which was a huge cause of bloating for me. I can still eat small amounts of yogurt or some cheese but straight milk or cream make me really sick and so bloated, whereas they didn't have that effect prior to my BFP. It may be worth it to keep a food journal to see if certain foods are triggering your symptoms?
@ashaw512 : you probably know this already, but a lot of dental insurance will cover an extra cleaning at 3 months if you're pregnant (vs. the normal 6 month interval) to help prevent pregnancy gingivitis.
Pregnancy gum bleeding is a thing. I am weird with brushing/flossing my teeth because I have recurring nightmares of my teeth falling out or crumbling since I was a child and it freaks me out. The only time my gums have ever bled outside of something getting stuck in a tooth is pregnancy.
very few symptoms for me, except new pelvic cramps (no bleeding, for now I'm telling myself this is normal); and a new anxiety/ obsession: I still haven't gotten my NIPT results in print or electronic form - received them over the phone last Friday, super fast despite holidays and all - my new lying-awake-at-night-panic-question is: what if the nurse from my OB practice mixed up my records from the NIPT and gave me someone else's good results? I realize how crazy that sounds
Lol! Now your freaking me out! ESP since first my tests said I have no bacteria just white blood cells then they said they have bacteria, I then got a call saying I'm not immune to rubella! And then they called to say I'm immune to rubella a few days ago! I'm sure that's not the case here, don't be silly. So do they just call you and tell the results? Or does the practice do that? I don't want the practice calling me for anything I like to read things on my own @mj8215
@mj8215 I wonder if you're feeling round ligament cramps? It's your body stretching to fit the uterus and the baby.
Are you the same mrs Wilson lady?
Hahaaaa!!
DH used to be super into Phish. I'm not. But they have that song "Wiiiilllllllsssooooooonnnnn!" that plays in my head every time I read her name now. (Please someone get this reference, or I am a non-Phan posting about Phish, rolling my eyes at myself...)
@virginiaunicorn11 right there with ya lady...I suffered through a phish show trying to be a good wife and told his ass I'm never doing that again as long as I live.

Lol guys you're killing me with your detective skillz - thanks for the distraction I'm unfortunately not familiar with the phish show...but it sounds like I should change that
ETA @zara4k for me they said I was welcome to call after 5 days so that's what I did... really prefer seeing data on paper or even better on a screen ... have my NT scan today and appointment tomorrow so hopefully can get the report then ... I wonder what happened with your rubella titers... maybe they had to repeat the test because it was inconclusive the first time for technical reasons, and they still had enough blood from you for a repeat and that repeat was fine ... just speculating
I hope this is just another woman with a common name, but could this possibly be that crazy lady cycling through progressively more revealing/doxxable names?
I have to ask if this is normal and what the heck is it. I get occasionally a kick in my stomach. I'm barely 12 weeks. It feels like the baby is trying to jump out of my stomach. It happens once every few days and it's really quick and sharp. It's not gas. I know what gas feels like.

I really don't think that is possible based on the tiny thing I saw on the monitor at my NT Scan at 12 weeks. Isn't the baby like 1 ounce at that stage? RLP would be my guess.

most likely, it's not the baby. Any movement that early wouldn't feel like distinct kicks. It would feel more like gas or bubbles or a tickling on the inside. Is it actually in your stomach? or lower? because realistically at 12 weeks your uterus is still super low (behind your pelvis bone).
