Re: Weekly Symptoms - Jan 2

  • @SaphireSweetie88 My nausea did that too at 12 weeks, but yesterday at 12/4 it was pretty much gone, and that has continued into today. Hope the same goes for you!

12+4 and I was feeling better for a few days and now I feel like GARBAGE: nauseated, dizzy, exhausted, moody, the works. Also, is anyone else very clumsy all the sudden? I've been dropping things right and left.
I have been clumsy since before my BFP. I could never figure out why and after my BFP it all made sense. I drop everything, spill everything, trip over everything, I'm a mess.
  • Being clumsy is an OWT for one sex I can't remember which one.
TTC: 1/2014 BFP: 9/24 EDD: 6/8/2015 Sorry for the poor man's siggy...ticker won't load regardless of how many tips I read.

I thought being clumsy was just an old school "symptom" of being pregnant.

And yes, I've also been dropping things a lot lately. My husband makes fun of me.

  • Shortly after posting on this thread this morning, I had a major crying meltdown over putting away Christmas decorations because "We can't keep our house clean enough to have a baby and be good parents." The bins and piles of garland put me in overdrive!

That was my first meltdown, hopefully they are few and far between.
  • Y'all, the headaches. My mom and sister have always had migraines and I have a whole new appreciation for what they've been through. Also my son broke my nose a few weeks ago (just a fracture) so that's healing and causing headache and nasal drip and blah. Also the constant need to pee is already here. I don't remember it hitting until well into the second trimester last time...so weird. Also I'm so tired. Chin up everyone...we only have 6 months left and then birth, breastfeeding and sleep deprivation to go through. Damn I swear I'm not normally such a Debbie downer. This baby has made me savage.
  • @CrystalPDX The day I brought my son home from the hospital, I looked around our (pretty darn clean) home, and was DISGUSTED!  The hospital was such a sterile environment, that I felt like a horrible person who didn't know how to clean her house properly, and who would infect the baby with unknown diseases.  Hormones are awesome.
  • @ACharnelle Yes to having to pee all the time!!! This is my first pregnancy and I expected this at some point but at 13 + 1, really?! I wake up 1-2 times at night, even when I haven't drank anything for hours before bed. And God forbid I drink some tea -- it's like a wave hits me and I Have. To. Go. NOW!
  • The peeing is always my first sign that I'm pregnant, I usually start waking up 2-4 times a night before I even turn a test it's really annoying.

  • Omg @LoveLee85, mcdonalds is my savior this pregnancy!!!! It's sometimes the only thing I can eat... which is crazy because I haven't eaten it in years!
  • 14 w tomorrow and I tried weaning off unisom last week and that was no go hoping to try again in a few. It's the only med I have taken his entire pregnancy. Even when I had bad bronchitis I didn't take Tylenol so I'd like to get off it! I have something right now either a lupus flare or flu or something dragging me down but food aversions are better which means more fruits and veggies- yay! I have been able to evercise 6x a week the last few weeks so that's been good until whatever this current thing is. I have had some bad bouts of round ligament pain and monkey has been hard to find on the Doppler which makes me think another anterior placenta. Other wise happy to be on the other side of the holidays!

  • @JAM85 - I was just thinking again tonight about when I should wean off unisom. I'm 13 weeks today. I might give it a few more weeks. I was miserable without it.
  • Wow! I guess I didn't put it together because I always go a lot. My doctor actually recently asked me to restrict my water intake (I drink a lot of water, apparently to the point that it's harmful to my bladder--who knew that was even a thing.)

Omg headaches and food aversions like crazy! I cannot stand the thought of meat... I have been getting full so quickly and I'm hungry again half an hour later!
  • @morgarita @virginiaunicorn11 @satsumasandlemons thanks for the tips!  I will definitely give these a try.

perhaps it is dehydration but I already have to pee all the time. So frustrating!  Usually wakes me up twice a time night.
  • I was so happy because my m/s went away most of the week after Christmas, starting with Christmas Eve. "Yay!" I thought. "Finally I can see the light at the end of the first trimester!" Back at work today and I gagged into my work garbage three times. Thank goodness no one was here yet.
  • @LoveLee85 I don't drink soda except in pregnancy. Nothing hits the spot like a fountain soda.
Same! I'm hoping all these unhealthy cravings go away in the second trimester.

  • @caribbeanmama I am right there with you on the heavy feeling in the pelvis and pulling. I was trying to describe it to DH last night (I was apparently making funny faces/noises while trying to get comfortable) and couldn't seem to find the words. It's not really cramping, just general tightness and heaviness.

Also, the headaches. Super annoying. Those can stop any time now.

  • I feel lazy, I don't want to clean or cook (which is very unlike me) I just want my mama to make me meals but everyone's so far away from me
  • @zara4k me too!  I apparently don't want to cook or go grocery shopping when pregnant.  I can't get out of prepping for my toddler due to food allergies - but man I am behind and starting to cut corners!

  • I sneezed last night and had that sharp round ligament pain on my left side. It was so terrible I was doubled over for a solid 5 minutes the whole time DH kept asking me what was wrong but it hurt so bad I couldn't answer and wanted to murder him after the 4 or 5 time he asked me. I remember round ligament pain being sharp and triggered by sneezing, coughing and laughing but I swore it was much later. Ligament pain was terrible for me the last two pregnancies and it seems this one is trying to outdo those. I am not ready for this ladies...
  • Absolutely no more nausea! Now it's just straight up 24/7 hunger. Most of the day it's a low-grade, rumbling hunger, but if I let it go too long, it reaches raging hangry levels.
I've noticed that I'm getting up 1-2 times per night to pee. Still really exhausted. I'm hoping this 2nd trimester endless energy kicks in soon, since I'll be pulling 40+ hours starting next week.
@leilac YES. I've been dropping things left and right. I told my bestie that come 6 months and on, whatever is dropped just ceases to exist! XD

  • @Dcwtada the RLP from sneezing is SERIOUS. I brace my sides whenever I'm laying down and sneeze because I'm so scarred by it. Sometimes I would get if I rolled out of bed too fast too which resulted in me rolling out of bed like Veruca Salt for the last few months of my pregnancy.

  • 14+3 today
RLP for real. @Dcwtada I def. brace myself when I sneeze, it helps!
Headaches - mainly from allergies, glad they haven't been worse
    Regaining energy
Is it too early to feel like nesting? - I just want to clean all the things (not like me) just been too lazy to do it so far :)
Went and bought some maternity jeans the other day - haven't broken them out yet, but feeling like I will need to in the next week or so. Def. unbuttoning the pants more often these days. My DH has noticed the blump for sure. (Also, my heaviest cat loves to come walk across my stomach to cuddle- driving me nuts - he's lucky he's cute)
Nipples have been sensitive again lately. My DH likes to mess with them so it's back to protecting myself lol.

  • @Dcwtada I started having it at 6 WEEKS this time!! It was nuts! It's wen getting longer and worse in duration now and it is no joke

  • Oh Lord, I was feeling great today I actually thought I should stop being lazy, I cooked, I did my laundry and then I had my prenatal. I was feeling a bit cold so I put my heating up and all of a sudden I felt soooo sick so I quickly ate something and had water and ... first vomit! I think my MIL jinxed me because she keeps asking how do you feel have you thrown up and I'm like no dude I haven't thrown up and she called again today and one hour later (just now!) I threw up. Ugh
  • Isn't it too early for snissing?
  • My nipples are kiiiiiillllllling me!!! Ugh!  Not my boobs, not the areola, just the nipples. It's like they're trying to grow two inches or something! Wearing a bra is torture, but NOT wearing a bra is even worse. I can't win.

I have a terrible cold that has lasted for over a week now and I am just so over it. I can't breathe properly, I'm so uncomfortable and achy and keep getting constant headaches from all the sinus pressure.

I'm moody, clumsy and still hate all people.
  • @supermom83
    right? stupid nipples...

  • @zara4k The same thing happened to me on Saturday. I had been feeling a ton better, but I ate breakfast and I guess it didn't sit right or something, but an hour later I'm laying down in bed and I suddenly got super nauseous, so I tried to get my husband to go grab the cereal super quick but he wasn't fast enough. 6 weeks of ridiculous all day nausea, and I finally throw up when it's getting better and I'm 12 and a half weeks pregnant. Go figure. The nausea is pretty much gone now, but I can't bring myself to eat what I threw up, and I LOVE those bagels, and need the OJ for the calcium. Sigh.

13 weeks.....no nausea....yah, maybe I should just say no puking--still a win! Ladies, it's coming I promise, for those of you in the thick of it. But oh the acne and stuff nose (love breathe right strips).  Craving some nutritious food and carbs, oh the carbs.  I think my pants may stop fitting soon....and they're super stretchy jeans! (I work from home).   I feel like hiding is going to get harder soon.

Any acne stuff you all use thats preg safe you like? I have one mario badescu drying cream, but I am been cautious about other things.
  • @Katie______
this may not work for you but I'm usually dairy free because it makes me break out. I started having very limited dairy this year (my skin was finally pretty good) by pretty good I mean I don't need concealer or foundation but I have to be cautious of what I eat. As soon as I got pregnant I thought I should load up on dairy and I have the worst breakout of my life. So depressing! I stopped eating eggs and dairy and within three weeks no new cysts came (only tiny bumps here and there from not drinking water I think) so dairy and pregnancy combined could probably do it.
fix your diet and your acne will resolve
meanwhile try out mandelic acid products and a good hydrating spray
  • Also, if something works for you, and it's a wash off treatment it should be fine, but don't use anything that your wary of as a leave on treatment.
  • @kerils I still want to eat but I'm a bit worried right now, it was all so sudden! Iv just been loading up on water for the past two hours and had crackers to be safe! I guess my chlorophyll juice and apple and prenatal didn't sit well with me!
  • @zara4k
Thanks! I used to do a clay mask and I feel like that should help---not sure or haven't researched is its safe. They're all cysts or whiteheads so you're right on that. I think the acne too may be from all the nausea and puking, just being unhealthy so long....I have been trying smoothies with yogurt too. Do you use any protein since you're dairy free?

I make myself a lot of minced meat (goat meat) sometimes il fully cook a steak and force myself to eat that, quinoa every other day (btw I don't know what it is but whenever I have quinoa regularly my skin gets so much better!) lentils and rice, chickpeas (eden foods is great since the cans are safe and bpa free!) if your finding it hard to plan meals I could private message you and maybe that would help?:)

if you search online you could get a list of chemicals that are NoNo for you right now. But AHAs are allowed and if you've never used them before mandelic acid works like a Charm for first timers!

    I have a smoothie
    a juice (suja)
    an apple
lots of crackers when I'm lazy
    pumpkin seeds
eziekiel tortillas and daves killer bread with pickles
    potatoes
    minced meat
if I want something milky il have coconut milk (Aroy D)

sometimes u don't want to eat anything and I go back to my crackers! (Einkorn crackers by Jovial)

try eating cautiously for a few weeks your acne will get better! I'm battling the same issue and it sucks!

  • The constipation! The diarrhea! The constipation again! THE DIARRHEA AGAIN!

I swear there's a battle going on in there and I want neither to be the winner.

  • @zara4k I did the same thing. I was afraid go eat after, but worried about not eating because not eating is half of what caused my problem. I was in such limbo. I've been fine ever since, and eating some cereal and drinking water helped me. After like 3 or 4 hours, I was eating normally again, and almost haven't had nausea since. It was so bizarre. Like the last great stand of my morning sickness of something.
