As previously agreed upon, we are trying to avoid multiple individual labor threads and questions about labor. Here is the place to talk labor, inductions, worries, fears, and/or questions
*Idea stolen from O16/J17 and Text from O16*
Post here anything labor related! Really, anything. Whether your labor buddy is at the hospital, your water breaks, your contractions are irregular or timetable, you're dilating, you're in pre-term labor or false labor, or even on the way to the hospital! This is the thread for all of that. And also - if anyone has any questions about labor related issues/symptoms/things, post those here too. Not that we are doctors, but some STM and TTM ladies may have experience or advice!
I'll be a PW. The OR schedule for the week of my csection was opened and they called today to get me on the books so I could get the first time slot. We go in at 6:30am on January 23. I was able to push it off until 37+4 when my OB can do the procedure.
T-7 hours till we meet baby Harrison! So nervous about a c-section, as I didn't even have an epidural last time because I hate needles but my doc is awesome so I know we are in good hands.
Thanks all! C section was not my birth plan, but I trusted my doc's recommendation that it was best for us given all the factors. My BP dropped and I got very nauseous after they numbed me so they gave me some extra meds. I could feel SO MUCH pressure and pulling. My doc said it was good that he was transverse and I required a cesarean because my bi-corneate uterus was worse than she thought and she had trouble getting placenta from the right side of the uterus. My doctor said I would probably have needed a d and c to remove the extra tissue if I had delivered vaginally and would have likely ended up needing a c-section anyway. Harrison cried right away and my husband got to hold him and bring him to me for a moment before they took him to the NICU. He is getting a little oxygen at the lowest setting for a little additional support and has a feeding tube for now until he masters sucking and breathing at the same time. Overall, the docs say he is doing beautifully. Thanks again, ladies, for all the warm wishes and positive thoughts. We really appreciate it.
