TWW Tuesday

Re: TWW Tuesday

  • @thebookisbetter starbucks and dunkin are always great IMO! I've also really appreciated target, Amazon, manicure gift cards in the past. Also, if the school is close to something like panera or Chipotle that is a nice gesture! It's like buying them lunch :)

  • BusinessWife: I guess I will switch to the lower temp. Hopefully it's a fluke....ugh, I hate looking at such a crazy temp drop on my chart. But better to be accurate and might be helpful later if something is off/wrong.
  • Dinosaur Welcome! Glad to see you join us!

thebookisbetter I have contemplated not temping too, especially after O because I get stressed/obsessive. But then again, I am worried I won't know if there is an issue if I don't temp. Can't win.
  • @antoto I think that's a good decision - that way you can at least try to prepare yourself for whatever news. You got this!

  • @dragonfly87 I can't see your chart on mobile, but I'm sure it'll be fine.  An open circle makes a blip like that look more understandable.  And hey, if after a few days your temps are all up and looking good, and it's just super-annoying to look at, you could also throw it out, whaevs, (noting both fir posterity), and if seeing the little dotted line skipped temp makes you less twitchy than the blip, so be it ;)

  • R/R: Our furnace/boiler keeps turning off in the middle of the night, leaving us to freeze overnight. When it does work, our second floor is 15 degrees warmer than the main floor.  There has to be something wrong.  I'm all for DIY and to his credit, he's super handy and has done mostly everything in our house on his own but this is beyond his scope.  I FINALLY convinced DH to call for help.  THANK GOODNESS!

Ughh that's the worst! In my old house the boiler was outside. The lines would freeze A LOT and we would lose heat! DH worked overnights back then and I would wake up alone and COLD! Bad memories of lying in bed pissed with like 3 hoodies on, gloves, hat & fuzzy socks.

I understand why people are upset at the user who wants dim sum for everyone. I'm not tagging her because I don't want to encourage her. However, I don't understand telling her off because she has a long LP. My average LP is 14 days but that means I occasionally have 15 or 16 day LP's and it clearly hasn't helped me get KU. I just want to point out that this is some people's normal and not necessarily hanging a BFP over anyone's head.
  • Thanks for nothing @swimsister Now "Closing Time" is running on a loop in my head.

"I'm having fruit salad for dinner. Well, it's mostly just grapes, actually. Ok all grapes. Fermented grapes. Fine, I'm having wine for dinner."
  • @BusinessWife @ChefRamsay

I'm mainly responding to this line from @Sugargirl1019 's post that people seemed to appreciate: "if you truly know O, and you're 15 dpo, you're hanging a BFP over our heads and kind of flaunting it."

I had some feels in response to that, like if this is true, why didn't I get BFP months ago. But, overall we're in agreement about the insensitivity of this poster.
  • @thebookisbetter yes!  I always love getting gift cards!
  • @swimsister. I'm sorry.  I guess we have all figured by now, bodies are super weird. :/  that really sucks though.  What a mind-mess that must have been. :(

    R/R:

Q/CS: I haven't started charting yet, but I'm almost positive I didn't ovulate this month. Now I'm just waiting for af. I called my doc but they aren't concerned about the length of my cycle yet because ingot off completely in September but told me to make an appointment if she doesn't show by mid January. So I'm just waiting. Idk what to do. Should I keep hanging around here? Not post?

GTKY: What is the strangest gift you have ever received? I live for white elephant exchanges. Love them!  Probably the best part of the holiday for me. Once I receive an absolutely hideous broken down owl clock. I happily refitted it the following year. Lol

brb. To respond to you guys. I think I'm going ft I have to do it from the computer. Still haven't figured out a good way to do it from  mobile.

  • @LuND sorry YH is moaning about all the vitamins. I love when H complains about about things ttc (like cutting out beer, though not entirely) because it is like I have given up so much and am trying so hard for this and he is complaint about 1 change... ugh men...

  • Oh!  I thought of a question.  For those of you who know about Super B Complex, when I'm lucky enough to get pregnant, when do I stop taking it?
  • @WillRunForWine21 my sister and I have a similar thing with a creeping picture. Each time the picture gets morphed a little. This last time my sister added a magnet backing and when I moved she stuck it on the side of the fridge before she left and I didn't find it for a day or two when I was putting some stuff away.

  • Wow!  The site looks a lot different from the computer.  But all the ads really slow me down :(

@dimsum4everyone lol at her calling it your "montlhies"
@hartmich I would LOVE a grocery store gift card. I am all about practical gifts :) but not as practical as @RedBreast35 's trash can! although I totally understand home improvement gifts. Part of hubby's Christmas present is a leaf blower.
    @Sugargirl1019  I'm dying for a roomba!

Sorry about all the CD1s and temp drops :(

    TW Loss mentioned:

Now, I am not encouraging DimSum's behavior, but FWIW I couldn't turn a positive test until 15 DPO and I have a 14-16 day LP. Turns out it was a chemical pregnancy but I had so many symptoms and got negatives up until 14 DPO.

I think she should just take a test, but it is possible for her to get a negative at 13 or 14 DPO and still get a positive later.
Totally agree. I didn't get either of my bfp's until 15 dpo and I have a 13-14 day lp.
ETA that I also agree that not testing that far out from your normal lp and continuing to post can create tension on the board.
