Feel good after yesterdays transfer of a 4AA embaby. Just got the call today out of our 17 fertilizes we had 6 make it. So We've got 5 frozen embabies. All very good quality! 1 is 5AA (starting to hatch) 2 are 4AA (same as the transferred one) and 2 are 4AB (just a small step down from the AAs. I can't believe how much different this round went then last round. Heres hoping we don't need those 5 any time soon.

AFM- I have a cold and a fever! I spoke with my RE they said to take tylenol but i have a horrible visual of my lil bean turning into a fried egg inside of me because of my fever.
edit: and I forgot to say I went to a different lab this morning and they didn't run my 2nd beta stat, so i'll have to wait another day to see if my numbers are improving.
Hello everyone! I haven't been on in several days. Between photoshoots and finals it has been a hectic past week!! I am so behind on everyones progress, so I think I'm going to spend this evening catching up! My PGS results came in, and 4/4 were normal! 2 boys, 2 girls. Going to meet with our doc on Thursday to discuss more details on the grading and which one is the best to transfer. I was hoping to have 1 normal embryo, because they said its usually 50%, and so many dropped from fertilization that I thought they might not make it through PGS, so this was just the best news I think i have had all year. 4 little embabies.

@Isthisthereallife CONGRATS on your transfer! Fx for 2 sticky beans!!! PIO soreness gets better overtime, heat, massage, and moving around help me the most. DH uses a massage ball to the area every night after my shot, it helps so much! I can also TOTALLY relate to the peeing ALL THE TIME, even before my BFP.

Hi everyone! I haven't been on in months...I kind of ghosted when the stress of all the delays started getting to me, so I took off a couple months from most things babies/infertility/etc and focused on DH and the holidays. Coming back on now cause the cards are finally falling into place! Might not participate much on this board since I know that we won't be starting the ivf cycle until late january at the earliest, but I had been on this board before and see many familiar names, so I'll be slurking. I also wanted to say, hi, good luck, and hoping for the best for everyone on here!

I kept doing some searches of maybe they could be 2, i was a 3dt so my numbers still being a lil low meant it was possible as the were a bit more then doubling My acupuncturist is this cute lil asian dr and she was saying i really think you might have twins, can't believe its true!

AFM: i'm sure i've missed a few but my apologies i haven't been able to really look at a computer too long or anything the past 3 days. I hit 6 weeks and OMG this sickness has hit the fan! I know i feel awful for complaining but this hasn't left me and i can barely function. anyway i look, move makes me so ill. My dr did prescribe me some meds as this is a bit too much, funny insurance doens't cover it they certainly dont care if you suffer or not! This wil be a very instresting journey ladies! Why is was so hard to enjoy my US, i thought i was so vercous about that i was makingmyself sick.
Anyhoo the news is in and so far I am indeed having TWINS eeekkkkkkk I am over the moon excited and scared all at the same time. Baby A is measuring 6 weeks and baby B is measuring 6 weeks and a day. Anything is really possible! Probably a lil extra bonus as to y i'm so sick even though others are just sitting pretty, i'm happy to return to that! I was trying to post the pics but can't figure out the spoiler box, so when I do i'll try it a gain. Didn't get to hear the heart beats but did see the flicker...let it all continue.

@Hopeful_mom twins!! That's so exciting!! Sending you wishes of a happy and healthy 9 months. Morning sickness is the worst! There's not an bathroom in my office. I was going to be sick and had to walk to the bathroom on the other end of eh building. It never seemed so far away. My secretary gave me a barf bucket. Lol. I think this cold has distracted me from a queezy stomach. Now I'm just worried that I'm coughing so hard that I'm going to cough the baby right out. I know the odds are slim to none and my RE isn't too concerned yet. We'll see what she says on Friday!
EDIT: I forgot to mention that I got my second beta results today- 2019!! My RE moved up my u/s to Friday. I'm so nervous and excited. I still can't believe this is happening. I have so many doubts still that I can't be super happy.

AFM: Still in the throws of the TWW. We ended up with 4 frosties which I'm happy with. Some moments, I am 100% convinced this worked, and others I'm not sold. Every twinge or smell convinces me. I think the TWW is the hardest part of IF. What are the thoughts for testing early? How early do you test?

@Isthisthereallife I am with you with the TTW. I was crampy yesterday but it could have been gas. This round went so much better than last with more eggs and healthy embroys that im so sure it worked but then theres that little doubt that tries to creap in. Staying hopeful. Plus we are PUPO! Thats good to hear about your frosties.
@Hopeful_mom I meet with my OB on Monday! I've been officially released by my clinic and Monday I'll have my 8 week scan. Telling my in-laws tonight! I wanted to hold off until things were a little further along, though my mom has known for a couple weeks now :-x
@isthisthereallife I knew I was going to test early no matter what. I just think that a phone call from my RE saying it's negative is more depressing than POAS and getting a negative so I wanted to know beforehand. I made sure to wait to try to avoid any possibility of false negatives though. I think I tested on 7dp5dt.

@winnie81 thanks so much! And OMG its so intense its unreal. I can say the meds are taking the edge off that i'm not curled up in a ball crying like i was the other day and able to type. Its tought, just looking at my phone or computer can make me sick. I'm getting through this post and then i'll need to rest. Hoping of after a few more days my body will start to feel a lil better! No one at work knows so this makes it even trickier!
@adoc86 have fun telling your in-laws! I'm so nervous to get released as I don't have an OB, my OB stopped doing deliveries, just my luck! I am looking forward to hearing the heartbeats so i'm hoping thats coming next!! I'm jealous your mom knows i need to wait to tell mine...she worrys too much...but i can't wait to share it with her!!
@isthisthereallife@tiffavis12 hoping ur tww is moving along quickly when r ur betas? r you thinking of POAS? I have to admit I usually didn't but this time around i just had to know and gave in the day before the beta....it was SOOOO faint but it was there....and just think I"mhaving twins you'd expect mine shouldve been super dark. I also knew i'd be at work and wanted to be prepared. BUT can i say i was no, i'm still in disbelief and tinkled pink all at the same time!! thinking of u!
@kangastein its exciting I can give anyone hope honestly cause its been tough...but i get it as i looked to others as well!! Hang in there! I was nervous to test and then finally the day before ny beta i gave in i just had to know as i thought my AF was always coming BUT i still didn't believe it till i got my beta back. I'm still in shock.

@Hopeful_mom glad your feeling better. I bet your inlaws will be over the moon excited for you. The TWW is going Slooooow. I wish it was the 23rd already. I have two sticks left from my trigger test so they are temping me but I wont POAS till next week beta is friday the 23rd so Im think no sooner than Wednesday the 21st but we all know how that goes why not spend $24 and POAS twice a day till beta... just kidding but hopeful I feel like this is our round, but ive said that before too. Only time will tell in Gods perfect time.
@Isthisthereallife@tiffavis12 Yay for being PUPO. I POAS a week after my FET and then repeated 2 days later. I tried to remain calm while waiting. I think it was the fear of it being negative that made me not want to POAS. FX for you!

@Adoc86 I was wondering when doctors release you. 8 weeks seems so soon but I guess thats about the time people realize they're pregnant under normal circumstances. I love my RE I don't want to leave her! But I like my GYN doc too. Plus his office is much closer to my house.
AFM, my RE called again today and wanted me to increase my PIO dose. I believe my level was 18 on Tuesday. I guess there's no end in sight for that damn injection. But tomorrow is the big day. I'm so nervous. I don't feel pregnant, but I don't feel like AF is coming either. I have to go to work first, but hopefully it makes the time go by until its time for my u/s. AHHHH!! did i mention I'm nervous?!

Sorry I've been a bit MIA everyone! I'm around and lurking. Just stuck in my own head a bit.
I need some words of encouragement. The eggs that we transferred were 3bc & 2bc. Our other eggs in the freezer are along the same lines: 4cc, 4bb, 4bc, 4cc. I'm worried now that these aren't good quality and it wont work. This is the first time in this process that I've actually really thought maybe this was all for nothing. Do people get pregnant from these grades? Am I freaking out for nothing???

I haven't gone through FET yet, so I don't have much to chime in on, but my doctor did tell me that embryos of all grades have successfully been transferred and not to get to hung up on the grading. Hey ladies! Just checking in Had my US yesterday, everything looked good! I have 1 little bean in there with a HR of 105! RE said at this point they look for it to be >90. I have another US in two weeks with my RE at which point I can stop PIO shots and then she will release me to my OB.

@DDRGirlie I was actually supposed to keep going to my clinic for follow ups until 10 weeks, but because I have an appointment with a new OB (my current gyn doesn't do babies anymore, so I had to look for a new dr) my RE didn't think it was necessary for me to continue going to her at the same time. I know in some circumstances my clinic will keep you under surveillance until 12 weeks so it just depends. How many weeks are you? I stopped PIO at 6 weeks and went to 2x a day Endometrin. At 8 weeks I can go down to 1x a day and stop completely at 10 weeks. My RE prefers to gradually decrease the dose so that it's not such a cold turkey shock to your body, but apparently many REs go from full dose right to nothing.
@Isthisthereallife I don't know much about it to really comment or provide much to ease your mind, but I truly don't think the RE &embryologist would have transferred the embies if they didn't feel there was a decent chance of pregnancy. Stay positive! We all have our fx for you

@Isthisthereallife I think the hormones make it more of a rollercoaster. I know my first cycle I was a mess. I questioned every little thing I felt. I don't know anything about the egg quality. But i think of it this way, if the doctor knew they wouldn't work, why would they freeze them??

Hi anyone ever have light brown spotting? My transfer was 8 days ago. I've been reading that suppository progesterone can cause this but I'm kind of worried. I'll talk to my Dr. but still input would be great. Thx
@Isthisthereallife try to stay positive or neutral. Also think of it most people don't the grade of their embryos because they don't often PGS test and they still get pregnant. Hoping for you!

@Isthisthereallife I know those worries all too well. Its hard waiting we hurry up to wait. Hormones make the TWW even worse. Try to stay positive or just don't overthink it. Sooo many women don't get symptoms till they are 6 weeks because the hormones haven't gotten strong enough yet. And all those ladies who get pregnant naturally or thru iui they don't know their embryo quality. Ive heard ppl with good quality embryos didn't work but not so good did. Its all about the right time. And i know that's hard to hear. Try to relax and not stress. 1 week to go... unless your testing early
@spring512 I have to admit I've been obsessively googling spotting and it can happen in early pregnancy but I have the same and pretty sure it's my period. Going in today for beta but going to tell the girls I'm spotting and likely getting my period and maybe I'll go straight to ultrasound and be able to talk to the Dr.
Thank you ladies so much. I needed that. I tested early today and it was a bfn but I know I'm only 5dp5dt. I hear that depending on the stage of the embryos could affect how early it shows on a test. I know it was silly to test this early but I had this crazy vivid dream that I tested and it was positive so I just had too. I'm going to stay away from the sticks at least till Monday or Tuesday.

Morning sickness is the worst! There's not an bathroom in my office. I was going to be sick and had to walk to the bathroom on the other end of eh building. It never seemed so far away. My secretary gave me a barf bucket. Lol. I think this cold has distracted me from a queezy stomach. Now I'm just worried that I'm coughing so hard that I'm going to cough the baby right out. I know the odds are slim to none and my RE isn't too concerned yet. We'll see what she says on Friday!
EDIT: I forgot to mention that I got my second beta results today- 2019!! My RE moved up my u/s to Friday. I'm so nervous and excited. I still can't believe this is happening. I have so many doubts still that I can't be super happy.

I think the TWW is the hardest part of IF. What are the thoughts for testing early? How early do you test?

@isthisthereallife I knew I was going to test early no matter what. I just think that a phone call from my RE saying it's negative is more depressing than POAS and getting a negative so I wanted to know beforehand. I made sure to wait to try to avoid any possibility of false negatives though. I think I tested on 7dp5dt.

I was nervous to test and then finally the day before ny beta i gave in i just had to know as i thought my AF was always coming BUT i still didn't believe it till i got my beta back. @Adoc86 I was wondering when doctors release you. 8 weeks seems so soon but I guess thats about the time people realize they're pregnant under normal circumstances. I love my RE I don't want to leave her! But I like my GYN doc too. Plus his office is much closer to my house.
AFM, my RE called again today and wanted me to increase my PIO dose. I believe my level was 18 on Tuesday. I guess there's no end in sight for that damn injection. But tomorrow is the big day. I'm so nervous. I don't feel pregnant, but I don't feel like AF is coming either. I have to go to work first, but hopefully it makes the time go by until its time for my u/s. @kangastein when is your beta?
I need some words of encouragement. The eggs that we transferred were 3bc & 2bc. Our other eggs in the freezer are along the same lines: 4cc, 4bb, 4bc, 4cc. I'm worried now that these aren't good quality and it wont work. This is the first time in this process that I've actually really thought maybe this was all for nothing. Do people get pregnant from these grades? Am I freaking out for nothing???

@isthisthereallife I'm sorry you are so discouraged. This process is such a rollercoaster and I think it is only natural to worry. I haven't gone through FET yet, so I don't have much to chime in on, but my doctor did tell me that embryos of all grades have successfully been transferred and not to get to hung up on the grading. Sending positive vibes your way!

@Isthisthereallife I don't know much about it to really comment or provide much to ease your mind, but I truly don't think the RE &embryologist would have transferred the embies if they didn't feel there was a decent chance of pregnancy. Stay positive! We all have our fx for you

DH: Diagnosed with Testicular Cancer in 12/15 resulting in right orchiectomy &one round of BEP chemo. Banked sperm prior to treatment. Not enough in storage to risk on IUI so encouraged to go right to IVF w/ICSI.
Together since 2001. Married 10/2013
10/24/16 - Began stims (menopur & gonal f) for 1st round of IVF on high responder antagonist protocol.
11/5/16 - Lupron trigger.
11/7/16 - 13 eggs retrieved; 8 mature; 5 fertilized
11/12/16 - 5 day ET of 1 hatching embryo
Beta scheduled for 11/28!
11/21 BFP!

@Isthisthereallife I think the hormones make it more of a rollercoaster. I know my first cycle I was a mess. I questioned every little thing I felt. I don't know anything about the egg quality. But i think of it this way, if the doctor knew they wouldn't work, why would they freeze them??

@Isthisthereallife try to stay positive or neutral. Also think of it most people don't the grade of their embryos because they don't often PGS test and they still get pregnant.

@thisisthereal hang in there, embabies thrive inside the mama just remember that!! And I have a friend that did ivf and her little girls grade was only fair and she's now 2! If it's meant to be it will be!
