Anybody starting up in December? I'm going for my baseline 12/2!
Me & DH - 41, DH has a cyst blocking his tubes, I'm just old.
IVF #1 scheduled May 2016 - 375/525 follistim, 75 menopur - cancelled cycle Day 6
IVF #2 scheduled July 2016 - new protocol, switcharoo...IUI June 2016 - BFN
IVF#3 scheduled August 2016 - estrogen & testosterone primed for 3 wks - ganirelix 7 days leading up to stim - 500 follistim, 75 menopur, 150 clomid , no follicle growth on day 6, stopped injectibles. Scanned day 9 just to check, some growth, 3 days 200 mg clomid, day 12 more growth, 100 follistim, 75 menopur, start ganirelix on day 13, ER = 0 eggs, ovulated to soon ( :( )
IVF#4 scheduled Sept 2016 - Microdose Flare protocol, cancelled stim day 6 converted to IUI (one dominant follicle)  :(  IUI cancelled ovulated too soon again. Taking a mental health break.
IVF#5 December 2016 - New protocol, same results. My adventure is over.

    KirstenCas Good luck on your baseline! Looks like you've been through a lot! I hope this is the one. I just started stims a few days ago and hoping for ER early next week.

    @Isthisthereallife Thanks! I'm trying to be optimistic  :smiley: GL on your stimming, and fx for a big harvest next week (that sounds weird but I think I'm still stuck in Thanksgiving mode)

    Trying for a baby since 4/10

    DX: Infertile 6/11 Me: LPD, all other blood work clear.
    DH: low sperm motility,low count.
    Met with RE start clomid + TI + IUI 5/12= IUI cancelled due to positive Cystic Fibrosis carrier test. DH tested Neg. for Cystic Fibrosis,

    6/12 Clomid + TI +IUI=BFN 8/10 IVF consult.
    IVF #1 Started BCP 9/2 Lupron 10/11 stims 10/27 ER 11/6!! 5 eggs retreived only 1 mature. FERT report shows none made it.Cancelled cycle.

    IVF #2 BCP 11/18 Lupron 12/14

    Stims start 12/29 ER 1/8 ET 1/11 put in 1 grade B and 1 grade C. Beta: 1/20 = BFN

    IVF# 3 7/13 BFP ended in chemical pregnancy

    9/15 diagnosed with PCOS and insulin resistance gearing up for IVF# 4 Dec/ Jan

    I'm on day 3 of stims! Good luck to my fellow December ladies! We are gonna get the best Christmas gifts this year, I just know it! (Though I don't think my beta will be until right after Christmas)

    Jumping over from the November IVF thread....hi ladies! *waves*

    I only did 7 days of BCP for suppression and had my monitoring appointment this past Thursday (Day 7 of BCP) but was given the greenlight to start stims this weekend.  I was so worried they would tell me that I wasn't suppressed enough but my RE was happy with my ovaries and bloodwork.  

    Today was Day 1 of stims with 75 of Menopur and 300 of Gonal-F. OMG Menopur burns....and I have a pretty high pain tolerance so I was not expecting that ish.  Having to do this for another 9 nights is going to be torture...but worth it in the end  <3

    Yesterday I had "the talk" with my boss and basically told him that I would need to come in late some days for IVF monitoring.  He seemed to understand but time will tell.  Especially if my ER does not fall on 12/15 like we're expecting....

    @SwtAnana  I'm in the same boat with the polyps, doc saw two on the saline sonogram. I want to get the buggers out of me as soon as possible. Was your sedation conscious? My doc told me it's going to be local/oral. Also, did you biopsy it? I thought it's standard practice but my doc says no need for biopsy. I'm not comfortable with this and thinking of going to my regular ob/gyn for this but it will piss him off...Any advice?

    @swtanana I hate the menopur too, ugh. Good luck with your boss.

    My boss seemed very understanding, she too had problems and never had any children. So I thought that was great and asked her to keep everything confidential. A woman we both work with just told me she found out I was trying (of course this would have been from my boss.) I've been livid at her since that happened, absolutely no trust anymore. 

    arm - baseline on friday went well, she wished I had had my period but said it wasn't a show stopper. All my blood work came back good, so I started stimming that day. And wowza, my protocol is extreme.

    75 Menopur
    150 Follistim
    300 HCG
    1 mg of dexamethasone 2x a day (steroid)
    250 mg Clomid (that's 5 pills!)

    If I get some good follicles, we are going to try a combo of ganirelix and indomethacin (a pain killer) to keep me from ovulating. And I'll have to take phenergran (anti nausea) too since it is apparently really hard on you.

    If i make it to trigger I'll have to use 10000HCG and a lupin trigger.

    Crazy, but I'm ready to go.

    @kirstenCas I am feeling better, no more pain today, just bloating. Absolutely exhausted and lazy from this process. We ended up getting 20 eggs but in the past this number boils down to 1 or 2 bad embryos for us... so we will see. I may be in for another round of IVF if we don't get any normals

    @bestofjoy Yes my polypectomy was with conscious sedation....Last thing I remember was the time-out process and before I knew it, I was being wheeled into recovery.  I didn't think to ask if they were sending a sample to pathology because I was also under the assumption that it's standard practice.  It's on my list of things to ask at my monitoring appointment this Tuesday but it seems that the risk of malignancy in a premenopausal woman is very small so perhaps that is the reason your RE won't bother.

    I'd still ask them to send a sample if you're worried about it. His reaction will be a good gauge as to how the rest of your process will be. You may not want to work with someone who won't honor a simple request like that or take your concerns into consideration! Maybe you could look at his reaction and willingness to meet you halfway before you go to another provider?

    After our convo I realized that I forgot to ask him to be discreet! But during the convo he told me to email a discreet reminder the day before my monitoring appointments so that the staff could be distributed accordingly....that comment makes me think that he understood to keep it between us. Fingers crossed!

    hi! I'm late to this board! Just left what feels like my 100th ultrasound and am waiting for a phone call with blood test results, which will tell if my ER is Wednesday or Thursday this week. Yesterday was day 9 of stims (Follistim) and I look forward to being done with those! I am not a very emotional person but I have felt the need to cry at the drop of the hat this past week. My dosages have been increased (started with 250 for 2 nights, then 350 for 2 nights, ended up at 400 for 3 nights, now back down to 350) so I'm sure that doesn't help anything! 
    July - September 2016 - 3 negative IUIs
    December 2016 IVF cycle - 12 retrieved, 5 fertilized, 2 frozen, 1 transferred
    August 2017 - baby boy
    September 2019 - FET cancelled due to thin lining (tried pills)
    November 2019 - FET cancelled due to thin lining (tried patches)
    February 2020 - FET February 6, EDD 10/25/2020

    @KirstenCas and @kangastein I know - I am so not a crier so this has been totally throwing me for a loop!! I haven't cried yet today though! lol

    Just got word that my ER is Wednesday! My estrogen came back at 2,250 so they don't want to push it off any further. This morning I had 9 good sized follicles and about 6 more that could maybe catch up! I am so anxious! My doc prescribed Xanax to take at night the night before ER - I am hoping this will help me sleep that night!!

    OMG - the stimming this time is awful and I've only  just finished Day 4. I go for my first monitoring this morning. I really hope this is working because I'm miserable, and weepy :(

    Just back from my checkup, no sizeable follicles....YET! I'm still holding out hope, I go back on Friday. More clomid, less steroids, so hopefully that will help with my feeling miserable.

    @KirstenCas you got this! At my first monitoring appointment after 4 days of stims, I didn't have many sizable follicles either. I was so discouraged and down the whole day, but they ramped up my dosage of Follistim and out popped about 10 good ones and few more right behind. Don't give up hope!!! Looking forward to hearing your update on Friday!

    Happy Tuesday everyone! @KirstenCas I really hope that when you get back on Friday they have some good ones to size up for you!! I had my Day 4 check yesterday and they didn't see much to measure either. I had some 4s and 5s and she said my left side was still pretty quiet. They upped me too and I head back on Wednesday to check in again. I hope for all of us we have some good cycles!!

    @kirstencas and @joselynj11 I never show much on day 4 either, I had nothing on left this cycle and maybe 4 on right. Good luck!!!  Hopefully the higher meds help

    Had Day 3 monitoring and obviously there's nothing much there.  My bloodwork looked good but my follicles still need to grow. 2 more nights at my current schedule and another followup Thursday morning.

    Just happy that I haven't been cancelled yet .....I've been so incredibly lucky to have things run smoothly so far....hope we can continue this streak!

    Hello everyone! I've been stimming for 8 days now and had blood work and ultrasound today. Estradiol 2051 and about 18 follicles over all. Lining 9.5 so my nurse said everything looks perfect so far. Another US and blood work tomorrow with egg retrieval either Friday or Saturday! I'm feeling super bloated and tired right now, but other wise ok.

    Hey hey hey fellow IVF ladies, 
    I'm going in for my 4th  attempt at IVF for my FET on 12-22. we had 20 at retreival. out of those 10 were mature enough to attempt ICSI. Out if 10, 8 were fertalized .  genetic testing showed out of 10 (we had 2 frozen we thawed to test) 8 were genetically normal.  fingers crossed for all of us.

    Welcome to our new ladies joining! I had a monitoring appointment this morning and we have some 10's and 11's on both sides to that is good news!! Don't ask me how but due to a very confusing message with my medication instructions on Monday night I ended up unknowingly upping my meds on my own. So my RE was surprised this morning but didn't really see a problem with it. I think she was more upset with the nurse who left the message. So I will be curious to see if they drop me back down for the next couple days. I think they are going to have me come back on Friday so we will see how I look then. I haven't started my Cetrotide yet to prevent ovulation but I think I will start tonight or tomorrow morning.

    Any other updates from anyone?

    Me & DH - 41, DH has a cyst blocking his tubes, I'm just old.
    IVF #1 scheduled May 2016 - 375/525 follistim, 75 menopur - cancelled cycle Day 6
    IVF #2 scheduled July 2016 - new protocol, switcharoo...IUI June 2016 - BFN
    IVF#3 scheduled August 2016 - estrogen & testosterone primed for 3 wks - ganirelix 7 days leading up to stim - 500 follistim, 75 menopur, 150 clomid , no follicle growth on day 6, stopped injectibles. Scanned day 9 just to check, some growth, 3 days 200 mg clomid, day 12 more growth, 100 follistim, 75 menopur, start ganirelix on day 13, ER = 0 eggs, ovulated to soon ( :( )
    IVF#4 scheduled Sept 2016 - Microdose Flare protocol, cancelled stim day 6 converted to IUI (one dominant follicle)  :(  IUI cancelled ovulated too soon again. Taking a mental health break.
    IVF#5 December 2016 - New protocol, same results. My adventure is over.

    @Joslynj11 that sounds promising!! 

    As as of yesterday I had 7 embryos still growing and we are proceeding with day 5 transfer. I'm trying steroids and Lovenox this cycle with baby aspirin.

    Hey everyone! Sounds like everyone is doing great! Good luck to all our ladies stimming. 

    I had my ER yesterday. We got 13 eggs. Can't wait to hear our fertilization report later today! Was pretty crampy yesterday but mostly just tired. Took the next few days off work to just relax and throw myself into the process. 

    Hope everyone is doing great!!

    October 2016: Switched RE's and began IVF cycle 
    December 2016: Retrieved 13 eggs, 12 mature, 9 fertilized with ICSI. 5 day ET of 2 blasts with 4 frosites left. BFP!!!! EDD: 8/30/2017 
    August 25, 2017: It's a Girl!!
    April 12, 2019: FET, BFP!!! Baby BOY EDD: 12/29/2019

    afm - I'm really having the worst time stimming this round. My protocol hasn't changed that drastically, but I am dizzy and sick at my stomach and constantly sweaty and i have back cramps. Has anyone else ever had this happen, where one cycle was so much worse than the others?

    @Isthisthereallife my ER was yesterday too and I also got 13 eggs! Glad you are feeling okay. I was a little crampy too and took an amazing 3 hour nap. Feeling good today!

    My nurse just called with our fertilization report and of the 13 eggs they got, only 6 were mature, but 5 fertilized. Now to anxiously wait for tomorrow's report and then Saturday's determination of a day 3 transfer or not! I feel like my life has just been staring at the phone waiting for it to ring the past 2 weeks!! 
    July - September 2016 - 3 negative IUIs
    December 2016 IVF cycle - 12 retrieved, 5 fertilized, 2 frozen, 1 transferred
    August 2017 - baby boy
    September 2019 - FET cancelled due to thin lining (tried pills)
    November 2019 - FET cancelled due to thin lining (tried patches)
    February 2020 - FET February 6, EDD 10/25/2020

    @kirstencas I always feel dizzy during cycles! But the sweating and nausea I would ask a dr. Hope your follies are growing well!
    @loweeek great report! Fx The embies grow!

    afm transfer today. We had two early blasts or grade 2 quality. Pretty bummed because this is where we always are and get negative tests. Thinking it may be another IVF cycle for me. Dr said maybe 1 or 2 others will make it

    Thinking of you ladies and hoping for good things. First monitoring went well, I go back tomorrow. In the meantime, I have gotten a rotten cold/start of a sinus infection. Not sure what to do, this is our last try and I don't want any problems. How much will being sick affect things?? @kangastein and @LoweeeK, hang in there!!
