NotAPlaya-JustCrushAlot had a great idea in another thread to start a place to put the names that you considered but aren't using...possible inspiration for anyone trying to come up with ideas! So...here it is! Maybe a little early, but it will likely keep rolling through the months...
I'll start with the boy names we were considering, had this baby been a boy (according to Panorama, it's a girl): Felix and Rowan were our top contenders.
Girl names that have been axed (mostly because of friends/family already used OR because my husband inexplicably hated them): Violet, Clara, Celese, Celine, Juliet, Marin, and Frances.
Cool idea! Had this been a girl we would've used Juliana. It has sentimental meaning to us as a couple. If we have a girl one day we will be using that without a doubt. I also LOVE Vivianne.
We are still up in the air with this boy but we have recently gotten rid of Alexander, Julian, Thomas, and Nicholas. Naming this boy is tough!
These are names we both agreed on but didn't make it to the final cut.
Hadley Lane Elizabeth Riley Taylor Paige Carlie Kennedy
Harrison (DS's mn but I would have LOVED as first!) Jacob Colin Brady Noah Wesley (I actually love this for a girl too - DH, not so much) Henry Colton Kellen
I absolutely loved the name Jillian for a girl but the boy name that made the final cut was Jackson. So for their sake of not being a nursery rhyme reference, Jillian got cut.
@kayemjay2 wow our taste is insanely similar. Juliana is our girl name. My oldest is Benjamin. And I suggested Matthew and Theodore this round! Maybe I should have you name my third boy!

Hahaha...I thought the same thing when I read your post- I love all of those names! Also, DS is Nicholas Boy names are so difficult- we are having a hard time coming up with a second boy name we love, I can't imagine how difficult it is coming up with a third!

@Kipperoo - I have a slight obsession with the name Marin, but no one else (well, my husband and sister- the only people I speak to about names) gets it. It's so beautiful, and not too "out there"!

I can suggest Bradley. Our Benjamin and Bradley duo is pretty awesome. Not a "B" thing. Just liked the name. He was a Nicholas until about 2 minutes after birth haha
I'm big into nicknames (I know not everyone is). If this baby is a boy he will be Sebastian Allen and we will call him Bash. Our DD is Peregrine and goes by Perrie. We have no girl names yet.
Sharing both lists. We might end up using them, but sharing anyways . We're 90% set on two girls names.
***Girls:

@Kipperoo and @kayemjay2 I love Marin but my husband also doesn't get it. I also like Corinne (rhymes with Berlin, emphasis on the second syllable) but he vetoed that too.
Other names we like but aren't using: Girl: - Elliott (Ellie for short, my favorite but vetoed by H for being a boy's name) - Avery - Juliette
We've just started discussing names recently but probably won't really take it seriously until we find out the baby's sex.
Names that I love that we won't be using because family/friends have used (very few little boys around): Charlotte Eleanor Charlie Lillian/Lily Olivia Aubrey
If this baby was a girl she would have been named Amelia... I also liked Elsie (family name ) my husband has liked the name Maximus for this boy but I've said no. He says it sounds like a super star athlete with our last name lol...

@bacorrea Do you by chance have Scandinavian or Norwegian roots? Just curious by your name choices, DH is Norwegian and we have looked at some of those names too!
Nixed names so far: Girls: Elise, Amelia Boys: Logan, Grant, Jackson
And boy names we can't use due to family: Michael, Luke, James, Connor, Matthew, Jacob
bacorrea , I loooove Lachlan and had it on my list (possibly for a girl), but we nixed it because my son is Sullivan and it felt a little too thematic/Irish for a family that isn't really Irish. :-)

Aeronwen
Eiddwen "Eddie"

Boy Names not using:
Finnegan "Finn" Lachlan
I know my style is kind of out there, sorry!
Arden has been a maybe on our list, I love it! I've LOVED Aspen for years now, but I am thinking just as a middle name. I'm afraid of "ass" jokes coming out of it.
DD was almost Daphne. I had in my head that was going to be her name but we changed our mind after she was born. I don't think we will end up using it if we have another girl but I still think its lovely!
If it had been a girl we would have most likely went with Penelope. Having a much harder time with boys names. This thread was an awesome idea. A few names we liked but aren't using are: Matthew Oliver Henry Ezekiel
I love the names Harper and Scarlet but unfortunately we live in New England and although I pronounce my "r"'s my parents do not and many friends do not. All I can hear when I say them out loud is Haaahhpah and scahhlet
DD is Victoria and if we have a girl we are thinking about Adeline
Re: Naming inspiration--a place to pass along your "almost" names

I mainly like names that can have a nickname and are unique (but legit names/legit spellings). My name is Brandyn so I've always had a different name.
@bacorrea - Your name list is so interesting! I'll admit, a few are NMS, but I really like most of them. Persephone, nn Effie, is adorable.
I have always loved Olivia, which I see on many lists, but it's way too popular these days in my area

I do really like Persephone, I just don't know if I can get over the Greek mythology and Effie people will see as a Hunger Games reference.
@nda_roxybabe ha I hadn't even thought about that.
I also love
Thaddeus "Thad"
Guinevere "Vera"
