@KhRun17 Nice to see you back I hope you had a nice weekend.
Month/Cycle: 6/7
CD: 4
WAYDTGKU: Temping, PNVs, CoQ10, vitamin D, avoiding soy, trying to schedule an MRI for my ovary situation.
R/R: I was really depressed all weekend. I'm trying to figure out a way to come out the other side and looking to make
cycle 7 count (with my cycle 7 amigas @Dinosaur and @wabash15).
CS/Q: I'm thinking about my CM situation. So I have days and days of fertile CM (9 days of watery and EWCM last cycle, 8 the cycle before), and my EWCM continues after O typically for a day or two, and then I often have it again on 3, 4, or 5dpo. I know EWCM is caused by estrogen and my short luteal phase is caused by insufficient progesterone. There must be a connection, right? Any ideas? Alternatively, should I be HIO whenever I see EWCM even after temp shift? I just want to do something different this cycle and see if it works.
GTKY: Every Christmas morning growing up, we had egg bake casserole with sausage and green chiles. Yum!
WAYDTGKU: temping, pnv, opk, green tea when I remember, HIO EOD
R/R: I'm trying to stay positive this week. Going ok so far!
CS/Q: I'm going to the Dr tomorrow to discuss my spotting. I created a spreadsheet with all of my cycles, period length, number of days spotting before, overall cycle length to take with me. The past few cycles I've spotted 4 days before AF. I plan to ask for progesterone testing to start, but if you have any other advice, please share!!
GTKY: What is your favorite Thanksgiving/Christmas/Holiday food? Dressing and pie!!
Me: 31 DH: 32 Dating since: 11/17/2001 Married: 9/26/2009 TTC: June 2016
@BertieMeetsGertie Good idea! You may want to specifically list your luteal phase length with and without spotting (example, 6 days without spotting, 10 days total) or similar so you can show that what is happening is too short. If they are doing 7dpo bloodwork for progesterone, personally I'd ask for them to test everything that goes that day (I had estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, prolactin, and LH). Just to see if any other number is weird. If they're taking blood anyway...
WAYDTGKU: OPKs, CM and CP, PNVs, FF, sex ED or EOD during FW
R/R: I'm getting excited to ovulate! Even if though it could be 10-15 days from now. I hope I don't have a 38-day cycle
CS/Q:
GTKY: What is your favorite Thanksgiving/Christmas/Holiday food?
All the stuffing!!! And pumpkin pie
Edit: TB cut off my GTKY

@adirat I'm basically just going to HIO whenever I see EWCM as long as it isn't back to back days (my dr suggested EOD)
@BertieMeetsGertie I'm with you on the trying to stay positive, I never thought it would be such a challenge while TTC!
Month/Cycle: 6/8
CD: 3
WAYDTGKU: checking CM and CP, PNVs, magnesium, green tea, limiting caffeine
R/R: I've decided that I'm going to temporarily stop temping. I know that my O date will be an estimate at best but I've come to know certain fertile signs and how they correspond with O so I'll be going with that for now. For any newbies, I DO NOT suggest doing this until you've been at it for several months and feel you can confidently guesstimate O based on other fertile signs.
CS/Q: Won't really have much to stalk this cycle
GTKY: We have a breakfast tradition in my family. My mom makes these amazing muffins called French Breakfast Puffs. As soon as they come out of the oven, they are rolled in butter and then a cinnamon sugar mixture. They are (obviously) best when eaten warm but I would still take one that's been sitting around all day just to have one. Just thinking about them is making me drool! lol

GTKY: What is your favorite Thanksgiving/Christmas/Holiday food? Dressing, sweet potato pie and my Mother's chicken spaghetti.
@Shan870 I'm jealous of your extra long weekends! Enjoy!
@BertieMeetsGertie good luck at the Dr tomorrow, I hope you get some answers.
@adirat I'm sorry you were depressed all weekend, and I hope you're feeling better soon. I don't have much to offer in relation to the cm situation.
Month/Cycle: 13/12
CD: 25
WAYDTGKU: checking cm, pnvs, tea, temping
R/R: I'm really hoping to get more news about this job I want sometime this week! I applied back in August, did a phone interview in early Sept, and have been in limbo with it since. I've been keeping in touch with my contact who I interviewed with, so I know what the delay has been and that things are still going, and last week I was told she hopes to have more info on next steps this week (they're having a meeting). I certainly hope so!
CS/Q: nope, we just need to get Hs SA done. After we decided to scratch TTA this cycle, we didn't want to miss the FW, so we delayed it. He should be able to do it late this week.
GTKY: What is your favorite Thanksgiving/Christmas/Holiday food?
This is a tough one...the first one that pops to mind is Rosette cookies! My mom only makes them around the holidays and I love them!
@adirat Sorry I don't have much knowledge to offer on your question other that your logic sounds solid to me with the hormon levels. And that in similar situation I would HIO eod when seeing fertile CM (I did not have much luck with tracking CM fo far). Hope others will give you better answers and FX for your cycle 7, girl!
@BertieMeetsGertie Great idea to prepare with charts for your Dr appointment. I also second that it might be worth to have them check every hormone level at once so you have a full picture. GL!
Month/Cycle: 13/8 (that I actually count, with others timing was so bad..)
CD: 7
WAYDTGKU: charting (BBT, CM if I manage, etc), PNV, green tea, HIO EOD
R/R: The goal for now is to clear my mental plate so to speak - get myself together emotionally. I've been bitching about it before, I know and sorry for that, but TTCing for so long is taking its toll on me. Never been one for crying, but it is happening quite often lately. So I'm there with @BertieMeetsGertie and @lulu1180 on staying positive. Decided that that's my main focus right now: staying positive, gentle and optimistic in general. Need to find my center, my "internal happy place" again
CS/Q: Not at this point.
GTKY: What is your favorite Thanksgiving/Christmas/Holiday food? My Mom's meatloaf with special potato-onion salad, yumm. Also: desserts, like ALL OF THEM
Me: 33, DH: 38 Married: May 2015 TTC since September 2015

@zwink1 I had the same job situation- interviewed in Feb, kept in touch with HR but didn't find out I actually got the job until the beginning of April. HR called on a Friday, said Hey! Orientation is either Monday or two weeks from Monday, when do you want to start? I hope you hear back soon with good news!
Month/Cycle: 2/2
CD: 9
WAYDTGKU: HIO, PNVs, BBT, OPKs
R/R: Possible *TW*, mention baby showers/ birthdays.
DS first bday is this weekend, and I'm somewhere between, "OMG we survived the past year" and "Where did my little smush face go?" DH and I spent the weekend finally taking the time to organize the finished room in the basement, since our house is tiny and probably won't fit everyone upstairs. It's nice to finally feel like things are put together, 6 months after moving in! Also, my fSIL's baby shower was this past weekend (my rant). I skipped it, due to a long and gloriously painful history with her and how she treats my family. I'm not looking forward to calling mom tonight and hearing about every single detail, and the subtle jabs about not attending because "she's changed so much since getting pregnant!" I do have some sympathy, their baby was born at 29w (and doing amazingly now), but having a baby early doesn't mean I can forget what a jerk she's been. /rant
CS/Q: Not really. My temps are a little higher than they usually are, but nothing I can really pinpoint right now.
GTKY: What is your favorite Thanksgiving/Christmas/Holiday food? All the pies. And sausage stuffing. With gravy.
@Adirat - thanks. Seems like we're on the same CD and same wavelength thinking about CM. I'm trying to think about what I can do differently this cycle too. @BertieMeetsGertie - look at you all organized for the Dr! @lulu1180 - those muffins sound awesome!! @zwink1 - good luck with the job! I hate when they take forever like that. @Anna_1021 - yay for finding happy place. I'm with ya!
Month/Cycle: 9/7
CD: 3
WAYDTGKU: Everything. Adding Mucinex and meditation this
cycle. The meditation is partially to help keep me de-stressed since that can
affect your chances, but also just because I tend to be a nicer human
(especially towards DH) when I do it daily.
R/R: Rant: Sorry I took a few days off from TB. I was pretty
crushed by AF this weekend. I think an egg tried to implant, but my body had
already started sending the signal to release the hormones to start AF. I never
have spotting before AF, and I had the exact same spotting I did before a BFP
back in April. Temp, when AF started (it always starts first thing in the
morning the second day after temp drop, this time it started at like 2pm with
temps still above cover line), and a few other things that were identical to
April were making me pretty hopeful.
Rave: You guys! If you were here when I was ranting about DH
not being good at helping with chores…I
might have found a solution. The dumbest, easiest one on
earth….drumroll… a to-do list! I wrote down what I was working on getting done
this weekend, and mentioned to DH that there was a list if he wanted to help
with any of it I’d appreciate it, and he DID! I asked him once we got
everything done if that was the best way to get help, and he was just like
“what are you talking about? I help.” :-P Needless to say, it worked and I’m
going to keep doing that. Make “my” to do list and ask for help with it.
CS/Q: Nothing to stalk yet.
GTKY: I'm a cookie person. All things cookie at this time of year! My favorites are a coffee mint cookie and peanut butter blossoms
Thanks @adirat@starla@Anna_1021@zwink1! I'll update tomorrow after my appointment. My biggest concern is that my insurance is an HMO (Kaiser). They are typically harder to convince to do things in a timely fashion, or at all... I shouldn't have to wait a year for them to do this testing, right? Clearly there is something not right and just because I'm TTC shouldn't really be a factor?
Me: 31 DH: 32 Dating since: 11/17/2001 Married: 9/26/2009 TTC: June 2016
R/R: DH was out of town last night and I slept so good I almost feel guilty about it. @KhRun17 my DH is the same. If I don't point something out for him he won't see it, even if it's obvious to me that there is a ton of housework to do! (He also can't seem to find things in the fridge that are right in front of his face, hehe.)
CS/Q: None this morning!
GTKY: What is your favorite Thanksgiving/Christmas/Holiday food? Stuffing for sure.
Me & DH: 29 Married June 2015 NTNP January 2016 TTC #1 October 2016
R/R: feeling a bit anxious about the workday ahead, but I know at some point it will be over and I'll work my frustrations out at the gym!
CS/Q: not today
GTKY: What is your favorite Thanksgiving/Christmas/Holiday food?
Green bean casserole!
@adirat@BertieMeetsGertie@lulu1180 I'm with you ladies about trying to be positive! I've been down about particular life stuff outside of TTC and know that will also start to take a toll should it take awhile. Hopefully we can all keep our chins up no matter what we're going through !
@zwink1 best of luck that you hear good news soon about the job!
Morning ladies. Hope everyone had a good weekend. Sorry to those who started a new cycle.
Month/Cycle: 3
CD: 17
WAYDTGKU: PNV, HIO, OPK
R/R: I was reading all the OPK talk last night. I've used CBD and gotten my solid smileys from them. I've also bought a bunch of no-name "wandfos" from china on Amazon and I can't turn those. They're literally the same colour no matter what point in my cycle I test. I'm thinking they're a bad batch. I went on Amazon and read the reviews and I see other people had the same problem. Grrrr
CS/Q: Does having a cold effect your BBT at all?
GTKY: What is your favorite Thanksgiving/Christmas/Holiday food? My MIL homemade stuffing!
@adirat hope you're feeling better! @BertieMeetsGertie hope you can get some answers, and the spotting is an easy fix. Also love dressing (stuffing) & pie! I'd take pie over cake any day. @lulu1180 I think your temping decision is a good one. I'm going to stop once I get CH, and if I'm not KU this month I won't be temping next month. So far I've been able to read my body with secondary signs, and I find that I've become a little overwhelmed and possessive when it comes to temping. My H says I'm driving myself crazy with it all, and I think he may be right. I also think there's some truth to the fact that stress is your own worst enemy when TTC, so I'm going to let it go. Fingers crossed you have a longer cycle and taking away the temping factor is just what you need! @Shan870 have a good vacation! Also, what's chicken spaghetti?!
CD: It will be CD 1 either today or tomorrow and with another BFN, I am coming over here.
WAYDTGKU: BBT, OPKS, PNVS, green tea, and checking CM.
R/R: H got our outside Christmas lights hung up and DD2 didn't throw up anymore after once yesterday!
CS/Q: No questions right now.
GTKY: What is your favorite Thanksgiving/Christmas/Holiday food? My grandma's stuffing is currently my favorite Thanksgiving food. For Christmas, there is a strawberry dessert with a layer of graham cracker crust, strawberry or blueberry filling, then cream cheese and whipped cream, then graham cracker crumbs on top. We just call it strawberry or blueberry dessert. I like strawberry and H likes the blueberry one.
@KhRun Yay for getting the hubby to help...maybe I should try that.
@vegatalienne Yes!!! I cannot wait for Thanksgiving..2nd favorite holiday because Christmas is first.
@Ohemgee It's like regular spaghetti but instead of being made with the normal red sauce, it is made w/cheese, shredded chicken breast, chopped tomato, corn, and has shredded cheese sprinkled on top...(that's my best description lol)
@hupp0013 Sorry about CD1. So happy I am not the only one decorating for Christmas already.

R/R: DH was awesome last night and finished painting the kitchen/living room area and it looks great. I have to give a presentation tomorrow and was way behind in getting it done so after the kiddos were in bed I went to a coffee shop and was super productive last night!
CS/Q: not yet... though whoever was asking yesterday about rocky charts feel free to stalk mine. this is my 7th cycle temping and even mine can be rocky... it will probably level out but some times the just aren't so pretty especially your first month or two.
GTKY: What is your favorite Thanksgiving/Christmas/Holiday food? mmm so many things... all pies... but during grad school one of my friends introduced me to her family's tradition of pancakes with pumpkin sauce on thanksgiving morning. It has now been a tradition for me for 10+ years. I look forward to it all year long!
@adirat all the hugs girl. it can't hurt to HIO with fertile CM, though once you've seen the temp shift its probably not so important. since you know you have low progesterone (and sorry if i have forgotten that you do this already) have you talked to your doc about starting progesterone supplementation at 3dpo? you would likely have to test prior to stopping as it may keep AF at bay... but my last RE had me do that on my last cycle with him. The journey can be long and rough but some how you will become a mom.
@anna_1021 hugs girl, this process can be so hard, its ok to feel sad that things have not happened but don't loose hope.
@khrun17 big hugs girl, glad your back and I'm so sorry this last cycle was so tough. I am rooting so hard for you. I love that the honeydo list is working! it made a big difference for us

R/R: I’m going to brag here for a second, I had a swim meet over the weekend
and I’m super proud of the times I put up. I did the same three individual
events this year as I did at the same meet last year and I improved in all
three. Two of the times were within a half second of my best times in high
school. Also, it was a mixed gender meet, but results were separated out by
gender and the women on my team won our meet!

We always make really decadent waffles Christmas morning at my

This is for all the feelings out there today. Feel what you need to feel in this moment.
R/R: this weekend went by way too fast I can't believe I'm back at work already. Got a positive OPK last night and this morning also had a little temp dip so I think O will be today.
CS/Q: none
GTKY: What is your favorite Thanksgiving/Christmas/Holiday food? i love stuffing and twice baked potatoes, all the carbs!!!
@adirat and @KhRun17 I am team try something different this time. I did this cycle too. I had been HIO EOD but obviously that hasn't worked for too many cycles, so this time I did almost ED. @adirat I think EOD during all 9 of your days and maybe one or two after O seems like a good plan! GTKY: What is your favorite Thanksgiving/Christmas/Holiday food?
I'm gonna say anise Christmas cookies with tons of icing. Can't wait.
@ohemgee I definitely think having a cold can mess up your temps. Mine were higher than usual last month because of my cold. But they could also be lower if you temp orally and you're doing a lot of mouth breathing while sleeping because of congestion.

@BertieMeetsGertie I'm with you on staying positive! I'm also trying to be a little more zen about the whole thing. I feel like I got really wrapped up in cycles 2 and 3. I hope your doctor's appointment goes well tomorrow! @lulu1180 good call on taking a break from temping. I hope it brings you some peace of mind this month. @Ohemgee I'm not sure what effect cold medicine would have on BBT. However, I know that if you're mouth breathing because of a stuffy nose, that can lower your temps (assuming you temp orally). @swimsister congrats on your meet - that's awesome! @luND hugs, friend. I'm sorry that you're going through a tough time right now

@Saralee797 oh no! Would taking benadryl make the hive better?
@littlebug2010 Yeah I don't think I'm gonna do OPKs this month either. Maybe a couple around my typical O date if I can't resist.
@lulu1180 Thank you for your kind words! We should share a box of Stove Top
Just to lighten the mood:
So after a few glasses of wine this weekend, I stubbed my toe on our couch. Since I was a few glasses of wine in, it didn't really hurt that bad, but in the morning it was obvious that it's either broken or just really bruised. No biggie, but I can't wear my new boots because the foot bed is too stiff and my injured toe said a big fat "NOPE". So, I had to wears some old, stretched out boots...... and I forgot that my cat had peed on them at one point when she had a UTI. So, now I'm in my office smelling vaguely of cat urine.
@LuND I'm truly sorry about your hurt toe, but I'm laughing at my desk about your cat urine boots! @JulesDP Awwe, Boo! She's one of my favorite characters! @swimsister Way to go, girl!!

@adirat I saw that you're cutting soy so I wanted to share an experience with you. I did a "whole30" diet back in January and it totally regulated my cycle. The point of the diet is basically to balance hormones and regulate metabolism. If you're interested, the book- "It Starts with Food" by Dallas and Melissa Hartwig explains the basic reason for the diet and it's an easy read. I am similar to you with a lot of EWCM and a lot of spotting before AF. I've been thinking about doing another round of the diet to get my body back in check. It's a really strict diet so it's not for everyone but the book is at least worth a read.
@zwink1 good luck with the job! I hope you get word soon!
@KhRun17 I'm sorry about AF but yay for a helpful DH and finding a good solution!
@vegetalienne I always sleep in the middle when DH is gone... when he came back from deployment he had to keep pushing me over because I guess I got too used to it... oops! Yay for a good night sleep!

R/R: I went to the Dr Friday to get the results of my U/S and he said everything is normal and to come back when I'm KU... except everything is not normal because I'm still bleeding when we HIO which is why I went there in the first place. I think I need to look for a new Dr but my options are limited in our small town. He said the bleeding won't affect our chances but I don't think I agree.

GTKY: What is your favorite Thanksgiving/Christmas/Holiday food? All the cookies!!! Just call me cookie monster
WAYDTGKU: Prenatals, OPKs, and trying to learn temping
R/R: I woke up at 4:00am, 5:30am and 6:30am today. WTF. I temped at 5:30am and at 6:30am. Not sure which one to keep though. I just want to be able to sleep through the night...

I really like sweet potatoes covered with marshmellows and maple syrup. So delicious.

WAYDTGKU: Temping, PNVs, CoQ10, vitamin D, avoiding soy, trying to schedule an MRI for my ovary situation.
R/R: I was really depressed all weekend. I'm trying to figure out a way to come out the other side and looking to make cycle 7 count (with my cycle 7 amigas @Dinosaur and @wabash15).

Good idea!
(What a creepy thing to say, sorry.)

This is a tough one...the first one that pops to mind is Rosette cookies! My mom only makes them around the holidays and I love them!
@BertieMeetsGertie Great idea to prepare with charts for your Dr appointment. I also second that it might be worth to have them check every hormone level at once so you have a full picture. GL!

So I'm there with @BertieMeetsGertie and @lulu1180 on staying positive. Decided that that's my main focus right now: staying positive, gentle and optimistic in general. Need to find my center, my "internal happy place" again

WAYDTGKU: Everything. Adding Mucinex and meditation this cycle. The meditation is partially to help keep me de-stressed since that can affect your chances, but also just because I tend to be a nicer human (especially towards DH) when I do it daily.
R/R: Rant: Sorry I took a few days off from TB. I was pretty crushed by AF this weekend. I think an egg tried to implant, but my body had already started sending the signal to release the hormones to start AF. I never have spotting before AF, and I had the exact same spotting I did before a BFP back in April. Temp, when AF started (it always starts first thing in the morning the second day after temp drop, this time it started at like 2pm with temps still above cover line), and a few other things that were identical to April were making me pretty hopeful.
Rave: You guys! If you were here when I was ranting about DH not being good at helping with chores…I might have found a solution. The dumbest, easiest one on earth….drumroll… a to-do list! I wrote down what I was working on getting done this weekend, and mentioned to DH that there was a list if he wanted to help with any of it I’d appreciate it, and he DID! I asked him once we got everything done if that was the best way to get help, and he was just like “what are you talking about? I help.” :-P Needless to say, it worked and I’m going to keep doing that. Make “my” to do list and ask for help with it.
CS/Q: Nothing to stalk yet.
GTKY: I'm a cookie person. All things cookie at this time of year! My favorites are a coffee mint cookie and peanut butter blossoms

@adirat hope you're feeling better!

My grandma's stuffing is currently my favorite Thanksgiving food. For Christmas, there is a strawberry dessert with a layer of graham cracker crust, strawberry or blueberry filling, then cream cheese and whipped cream, then graham cracker crumbs on top. CS/Q: not yet... though whoever was asking yesterday about rocky charts feel free to stalk mine. this is my 7th cycle temping and even mine can be rocky... it will probably level out but some times the just aren't so pretty especially your first month or two.

R/R: I am really trying to not let ttc get to me this month, so I am all for the positivity! I decided that I am not going to opk, so I have to make sure that im paying attention this week, but I am also not going to temp once I confirm O. I also wont post on my chart after I confirm O. Outside of TTC, DH and I are going to decorate the house this coming weekend for Christmas! We get to host thanksgiving so I want the house to be all decorated too! I can not wait!

R/R: I am sorry to everyone having a tough day! I think it is especially hard to be positive on a Monday. I have a lovely hive on my cheek because life is making me so anxious!
CS/Q: Still have not temped yet this cycle I am thinking I might just do it around the FW to confirm O and that's it.

R/R: Ugh. It's Monday and I'm at the point of my cycle where I'm sick of peeing on things or holding it so that I can pee on things.

@JulesDP Awwe, Boo! She's one of my favorite characters!

WAYDTGKU: All the things
R/R: I went to the Dr Friday to get the results of my U/S and he said everything is normal and to come back when I'm KU... except everything is not normal because I'm still bleeding when we HIO which is why I went there in the first place. I think I need to look for a new Dr but my options are limited in our small town. He said the bleeding won't affect our chances but I don't think I agree.
CS/Q: none yet but I'm sure they'll be coming soon

R/R: I woke up at 4:00am, 5:30am and 6:30am today. WTF. I temped at 5:30am and at 6:30am. Not sure which one to keep though. I just want to be able to sleep through the night...

I really like sweet potatoes covered with marshmellows and maple syrup. So delicious.
