Alyssa finally rolled from her back to her tummy but hasn't rolled tummy to back yet. She rolls to her tummy then starts sticking her butt in the air and grabbing the blanket trying to pull herself. Eventually she gets mad on her tummy I'm not sure if she's mad about not being able to roll back to her back or not being able to move lol. I let her fuss a little then help her onto her back and she rolls back to her tummy and that cycle continues all day lol
That is exactly what happens with Damien. I remind him that the only one he should be angry with is himself
@vintagevix2016 I'm hoping she learns how to roll from belly to back soon! I always thought they learned belly to back first lol
My LO rolled belly to back first, but it never seemed intentional. She always seemed surprised when she did. Now that she goes back to belly I can't keep her on her back, so idk if it's just her preference.

Damien is in his rock-n-play at the moment since he started rolling fromback to belly tonight. I would have kept him in the crib but he was crying so hard he was hyperventilating.
My LO rolled back to stomach since 3 1/2. He can only roll himself to back sometimes, but a lot of times he gets stuck. Also, he's been enjoying sleeping face down. This scares me, but the doctor said there wasnt much I could do. I can't be awake at all hours checking him. He will roll back to his stomach if we try to put him on his back again. Besides, we were told that the SIDS risk is much lower now and to let him be.
On another note, my son started holding his own bottle. But he doesn't know how to tilt it up so we still have to assist him. Can't WAIT until he can hold it and drink by himself.
@Delitachan my daughter just learned to roll back to stomach and hasn't rolled to back yet. Two nights ago she slept on her side then last night she slept on her tummy facedown I woke up twice and saw her facedown and flipped her the second time I ended up waking her up and had to give her a bottle she usually sleeps all night. It freaks me out so I flip her but I hate waking her up. I'm hoping it ends soon or she starts to at least put her face to side while she's on her tummy.

We're having the same issue, he just doesn't seem to turn his face far enough...not to mention he screams bloody murder when he is on his stomach anyway. I'm doing extra tummy time and practicing rolls more often during the day to try to get him used to being on his tummy or at least roll to his side or back if he doesn't want to be on it. He really only rolls if he is awake though. If he falls asleep on his back, he usually stays there until he wakes up, so at least we are all getting decent sleep at night.
Alyssa loves being on her tummy but she sleeps on her tummy with her face in mattress she can lift up her head really well and spends almost all day on her tummy because when I put her on her back she rolls right to her tummy. I just worry at night when she sleeps face first into mattress.
Miles has started using consonants and oh, dear goodness, is it funny. Mostly he does it whenever he's mildly upset about something, but not full scale crying. I just hear little "me-me-ne-ne-ne" with the pouty face. It just makes me laugh so hard because it just sounds so whiny, but so cute at the same time

Anyone have a crawler yet?! Preston started trying to crawl yesterday. He can't hold his head and butt up together yet but he is trying to do an army crawl where he uses his arms and legs properly but his belly or face drags on the ground. Lol

Ethan does what I refer to as the inch worm to move all over his crib/playpen. And he just recently started going up on his knees and rocking during tummy time. They're growing up so fast!
Jackie has been scooting all over the place. She's mastered the plank and can get on hands and knees, but then just sprawls out without going anywhere but backwards. It's only a matter of time though.

I'm terrified of crawling and so are my dogs. I like it better before they become mobile, especially since my older son is into legos and they are chocking hazard waiting to happen!
Tristan has been scooting up on his forearms and knees a lot lately...he can pretty much scoot over to what he wants within a foot or so. He seems to scrunch up on his knees and the scoot forward on his face. Generally he helicopters on his playmat and crib. I am pretty sure it will only be a matter of time.
That's so cute that a lot of your LOs are scooting and starting to crawl. Damien just sticks his butt up at the moment and wiggles around. I'm okay with that though since I'm not mentally prepared for him to be on the move yet.
Calvin wants to crawl sooo bad. He is able to inchworm all over the place and uses his arms to move his upper body, but hasn't quite figured out that he needs to go up on hands and knees. Time to get serious about baby proofing!!
Levi is 21 weeks today. He can roll both ways and really wants to sit up. He does pretty good with just a little assistance. He doesn't crawl but can inchworm all over his crib.

We caved I. And bought the liner for the crib today because of the inchworming everywhere... He really wants to crawl though.
My LO is 26 weeks this week. He still is nowhere near sitting without support, but gosh, he talks a LOT. He no longer cries for what he needs now, just yells "ahhhhhAAAAAHHH!" Not only that, but he talks a LOT. He goes "ba. Ba ba ba. Beh, te te te, ma ma ma ma, da da da." He changes intonation as well, so it sounds like he's actually talking. The other day, we left him in his Pack n Play and we saw him grabbing his rattle ball and start babbling to it angrily. Ranting.
Well my baby finally rolled back to front, he is 6 months 2 days lol.
That's great! Still waiting for my little girl to do this. She sort of did it the other day, but it was more because she got herself angled on the boppy and gravity kind of took her the rest of the way!

I've seen Savannah roll both ways about twice.... it was really freaking me out because all of the other babies on here do it constantly it seems. My doctor isn't concerned at all though. She can sit on her own for close to 10 minutes so maybe she just missed this milestone? She just seems genuinely uninterested in rolling even if I hold toys away from her to try to tempt her! Haha
I think it's important not to compare our babies but it is SO damn hard!! (She'll be 6 months on the 23rd for reference)
Yeah, Sam has zero interest in rolling. I swear he could if he wanted to, he's super strong. He just doesn't. He still despises tummy time so he has no motivation to roll to his tummy. But he can sit like a champ and also will stand holding on to something for several seconds, longer if I give him a little support. I'm worried about him crawling, but everyone seems to think one of these days he will take off. I guess we will see.

Glad I'm not the only one!
I'm in the same boat. Damien went through a brief stage a few weeks ago where he would constantly roll to his tummy and cry because he still hates being on his tummy. He has only rolled back to front a couple of times since then, but at least I know he can. He can stand while holding onto something and sits very well on his own. When he is on his tummy, he tries so hard to crawl so it's coming. I just needed to hear from the physical therapist that some babies jump around developmentally (standing before crawling, for instance). A friend of mine's 2yr old learned to pull herself up to a stand and stay standing well before she learned to crawl.
Abby also has never rolled. She's meeting all of the other milestones so I don't think there's anything wrong. She also barely tolerates tummy time which might have something to do with it.
We actually played a rolling game that really got Preston into rolling. When he's awake i can try to remember to film it quickly and post it for you guys to see. Our OT taught it to us. You sing "row your boat* and do a dance that goes with it and if you are lucky it ends with a full rotation. Back to front then back again. Then your repeat and go the other way. He would get such a kick out of it and soon he was rolling by himself.

Yes please! Would love to see it!
Ok I'll try and get it on here. Hopefully his does the full rotation for you guys but since doing this he likes to just stop on his belly and play there. Lol to think, he used to HATE tummy time.
Ugh I can't post videos. I will do a full explanation with some pictures and that should give you the right idea.
Start with baby on back. Grab their thighs with thumb behind the knee so it can bend. While singing you are gonna have one leg bent and the other straight then switch legs with the song. "Row row *switch* row your boat *switch* gently down the *switch* stream.
Then do the legs together and go up and down. "Merrily Merrily *down* Merrily Merrily *up* life is but a *down*
Now hold the hips and thighs you are gonna rock then back and forth to the song. Row row *switch* row your boat *switch* gently down the *switch* stream.
When you sing the "Merrily" part you are just gonna continue that last rotation so they roll onto their belly don't stop once they are on their tummy, keep going till on their backs.
Then repeat but whole routine but roll them then other way. After some practice you get a happy rolling baby.
I don't think so. Lol he loves to play. He kept trying to roll before I was ready to take the pictures. I wish the video could be posted. He was so happy doing his dance.

Well my baby finally rolled back to front, he is 6 months 2 days lol.
At my appointment our dr said she wasn't terribly concerned about the lack of rolling or unwillingness to sit because his for strength is good. What a relief!!!

That's good. Preston hasn't been wanting to sit either but he's really strong so that makes me feel better.
