Re: October Randoms
@skirtandsandals and @jensou Xavier absolutely loves "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" song by the Hawaiian singer and other songs like it. He actually really likes Frank Sinatra and Louie Armstrong era music as well. He is such an old soul.
@Sbrown721 I haven't had any alcohol but I wasn't a big drinker before being pregnant so it's no issue for me.
We don't do a specific routine other than feed, burp and rock him to sleep. My husband takes care of the rocking so I can go to sleep myself.
@jenkar01 My hair is very long, longer than my butt now. Since I could decide on my hair I always had it long and about 10 years ago now I cut very short and liked it for two weeks, then regretted it so I decided not to cut it again. But most days now it is just in a messy ponytail xD

@Alyeena yeah I've been growing my hair out for the last 3 years and it's just to the point where I just don't do anything with it. I just usually have it in a ponytail, the only time it's down is when it's been freshly washed. I don't plan on cutting it short just to my shoulders. It's probably about 3 or 4 inches past my shoulders right now I just want it a little shorter.
If people don't answer after so many knocks and only answer because you won't go away or because they think it is an emergency like you... what makes them think they will listen to what they have to say??
@CDE20 I hear you on the nonexistent naps during the day... Mine gets so little sleeps, only little cat naps here and there.

@jensou I saw you mentioned hair loss, anyone else getting that yet? I think this is the best pregnancy hair I've had out of all 3. I'll be sad when it falls out in fistfuls !

started work at 6w postpartum. It was tough but mainly because I psyched myself up for 2 days a week and had to come back full time for the first two weeks there. It was so hard! And my hubby was overseas. In retrospect, starting off in that way has made the rest of it not so bad in comparison ... I'm on my 2 days a week right now and it's a good balance. Will keep rolling this way for the next month.
We checked out a lot of daycares. The biggest con was that in our state you can't do cloth diapers in "official" daycare and there are SO MANY babies there. Also expensive. We were referred to a lovely in home care provider who has a little one herself. She nannied for twins - twice! So I felt good about her having my Victoria with her sweet little one (she's a couple months older).
Its amazing all the stuff you have to pack for a day! And then when you get home you have to re pack for the next, wash the bottles, breast pump, chill the freezer packs. It's a ton of little things. I decided to dedicate a diaper bag just for daycare, which has helped. Gosh I could go on and on... I'm sure some other mommas want to chime in on daycare.
Does anyone use water wipes? I'm considering switching to them from the natural care ones due to diaper rash.
