@jwg9101 I have all those same feelings in the TWW - if you're crazy, I'm crazy too!
@mrsdaddario have my FX so hard for your scan on wednesday; I would be super surprised if they all matured, I'm sure everything will be fine.
@LuluMurph I'm supposed to wait until Sunday 11/5 to test, but I can never wait that long and I usually start testing out my trigger around 9dpIUI

I have been checking in to read your posts but hadn't sat down to respond to them so I had a lot to check-in on. Nothing new for me. In the TWW right now and set for a beta on Friday. Hoping the week goes by fast and I don't think about it as much as I usually do!
@mrsdaddario I'm impressed by how the nurse took so much time to look through your charts and make a plan specific to you. That's awesome. It seems like so often they just go through the same process with most people and don't look carefully at our test results. Seems like you have a great doctor! Glad to see that it seems to be helping. Praying for an appropiate amount of mature follicles!
@LoweeK I'm impressed with how much you've gotten your mind off things. Now that you only have a few more days to go, how are you feeling? I'm testing the day after you and I always have a really hard time the last week
@BabyBuckWay Congrats! That's so exciting! Hoping for a happy and healthy 9 months!
@skysong113 I'm so sorry to hear that your IUI got postponed. Hoping tomorrow's volume is much higher! Also, I know you mentioned this awhile ago but you're not silly at all for being nervous about 4 follicles. I had 4 my first medicated cycle. We were so nervous that we ended up cancelling the IUI and just doing TI without a trigger that cycle. I know it doesn't make much sense but we felt better about. Now that we've had some negatives from medicated cycles, we wouldn't cancel for 4 but it is nerve racking. Our nurse reminded us that not all mature follicles have mature eggs. And not all eggs get fertilized and not all fertilized eggs implant so that chance. This is comforting when you have lots of follicles but depressing when you don't. Hoping that your increased chances lead to a positive this month!
@ReesaAnne16 Those are great numbers! Sorry you had to miss out on your horse show but Fx that it was worth it!
@Chartleib Yay for having your IUI this morning! Hoping your TWW goes by fast! When will you be testing?
@jwg9101 Haha. I am the same way during the TWW. It's an emotional rollarcoaster every month. I often pee more during the TWW because of the raised progesterone in our system. That's a good sign that your body is workig the way it should. Now that I'm on progesterone supplements during the TWW I have to pee all the time. I now understand what pregnant women are talking about.
@LuluMurph I don't drink caffeine normally. I used to drink alcohol during the TWW but lately I have stopped just to see if it would help. I've always heard that if you body doesn't know you're pregnant (negative pregnancy tests) that it's save to drink.

@beary67 Yes, definitely the most follicles I've ever had! And I actually just looked at my patient protal and it's six follicles, not five. Woof. But only two are 10mm and 11mm, and the other four are between 7mm and 8mm. I hope @ReesaAnne16 is right and they don't all mature, but I wouldn't feel badly if at least three or four did!
@Chartleib Yay for IUI this morning! Fx so hard for you!!
@Katkirch Thanks! I am feeling perfectly normal...usually by this point with my last two IUIs, I would start some cramping and have sore boobs, but nothing so far this time. I was also like clockwork with the last two of getting AF exactly two weeks after the trigger, which would put me at Thursday night/Friday morning this week...48 more hours now...and Thursday is my hubby's birthday but I keep trying to put it out of my head about what perfect timing that could be...it's hard!! I'll be thinking about you on Friday!!
@mrsdaddario three or four would be perfect!!! fx for you!!!

I kind of lost my home since we didn't do IUI this cycle, but I am out. I tested yesterday morning because my temp was doing weird things and got a N. Today AF came - I am only 11 DPO. Needless to say I'm super confused. Back to the drawing board but I'm sure it will consist of another injectible cycle with (hopefully) IUI.
I am echoing @Chartleib - Hopefully November is our month!

@LuluMurph I only drink 1-2 cups of coffee a day anyway, so I don't bother cutting back during the 2WW, though I do go for tea instead if I need a mid-afternoon drink. And as for alcohol, I tried not drinking during the first 2WW, and it raised SO many questions among our friends and family that we decided together that it's just not worth it, and now on the 4th time around, I'm glad we made that choice. I don't get hammered or anything, and I'll forego drinking at home with just my husband, but if everyone's out having a cocktail, I'll have one or two just to shut everyone up.
@jwg9101 You're not going crazy, this process is just hard. Hopefully you'll have quick success, but if not, you'll figure out how to best deal with it for yourself, you just have to trust yourself.
I'm coming to the end of the 2WW, technically Friday they want me to roll in for a blood test, but since I'm already spotting like I do when AF is about to come, I'm not really optimistic. I'll still POAS tomorrow, if I get even a faint positive I'll go in for the blood test, but if I get a negative, I'll wait out the weekend and just keep home testing. If AF doesn't show by Monday, I'll probably go in just to let them know what's going on.
Well, we managed to squeak an IUI in yesterday, even though DH's volume was still really low and the count was only 1.2 million. The RE said next step is to check DH for retrograde ejaculation- he might have developed it after he had the surgery for his kidney stones, since they were messing around with his bladder. If it is retrograde ejaculation there's apparently ways to deal with it, so I'm trying to stay positive, though it's hard for me to still hold out hope for this cycle...thanks everyone for the kind words!
@mrsdaddario i'm so crazy hopefully!!! Hopeful that AF isn't trying to visit early.
@skysong113 Well thats somewhat positive knew for you with your SO. Hopefully if the numbers are low they can fix it.. They can't in our situation. It's a big bummer!

This has been the strangest cycle for me... and I wasn't even sure we'd get an IUI in before the month was out. I had several follies growing on the right... where my tube is partially blocked. I went for a Fallopian Tube Recanalization to clear the right... but the results were inconclusive. It was frustrating. My doctor put me on Gonal-f and felt it was worth continuing with the cycle. Meanwhile and inexplicably my growing follicles on the right faded away... and I had a dominant follicle on the left, which is for sure clear. As of this morning that follicle is at about 17.5 and I will trigger tomorrow for an IUI Friday morning. I'm praying it's a good sign that somehow I'm ending up with a mature follicle on the left!

well I'm out - BFN this morning and I expect AF to show by the end of the day. I don't know where to go from here. My RE mentioned last time that we could try stronger meds for another IUI if this one failed, but I know that also brings a much higher price tag. We are all OOP for IF and have some savings set aside, but does it make sense to drain that savings even more for another IUI that would only increase our chances a little bit? All while paying more than double? We are ready to move to IVF and I hope our RE agrees. I think I will call the nurse today and see what next steps would be. Ugh. At least I will have a celebratory birthday drink with my husband tonight.

@LoweeeK so sorry to hear that! I totally understand about the OOP thing, we're totally OOP and it's hard to make choices. Good luck moving forward and I hope you get your take home baby soon!
@jwg9101and@ReesaAnne16 how are ya'll surviving the TWW? I'm about ready to crawl out of my skin! Are you waiting until the 5th? I remember ReesaAnna16 saying she were testing early, if the IUI was Monday (10/24) technically how early can you test?
I just got off the phone with the nurse and we have an IVF consult set for Monday afternoon. Hopefully we can pull the trigger then and get started on BCP. She also mentioned that it is protocol for me to get a sonohysterogram and for DH and I both to be tested for infection disease before IVF meds would start. Those things can happen while on BCP. The lab at my RE office shuts down the last 2 weeks of December for mandated cleaning and maintenance of equipment, I'm hopeful that we can maybe squeak in before then...we'll see!

@LuluMurph I'm not doing well being patient... There were 3 new pregnancy announcements in my facebook feed this week. It just feels like everyone is pregnant, and on a day to day basis there is nothing I can do to get a closer to a baby.. Just SO MUCH WAITING....
To answer your question, how early you can test really depends on how long your trigger stays in your system. It's really unlikely to have a true BFP earlier than 9dpo, so I decided to start testing out my trigger starting on 7dpIUI the last few cycles (I used wondfo's so this doesn't cost me much). It was a pretty stark positive from the trigger still on that day, and it got fainter and fainter each day. However, there was still a faint line on 12dpIUI and possibly a super squinter on 13dpIUI. By 14dpIUI is was BFN so I didn't have a beta drawn and AF arrived that day.
It really depends on whether seeing a false positive will upset you or not. If so... I would say don't test early, and wait the full 2 weeks.
SO I will test early, but probably won't trust the results until 14dpIUI or even until I get a high beta.

@LuluMurph I'm hanging in there. I actually have been feeling super sick - fluish so that's consumed a lot of my energy. I'm also hosting a Halloween party at the teen center where I volunteer tomorrow night so I've been slammed with that. Once it's over I plan to sleep for 24 hours and then I expect the panic to creep in. I'm not sure why but I don't feel much anxiety right now. I feel like I'm going through the motions but I'm not really pregnant. No idea why the pessimism other than it's technically easier than optimism and disappointment. Does that make sense?
I have no no idea what my next step will be. I enrolled in the top tier insurance at my company for 2017 just in case we are still in this boat next year or in case I have a baby to care for. Or maybe a gastric bypass or cosmetic surgery (just kidding). I don't know. I'm a planner and it freaks me out not to KNOW what I'll be doing next year. Freaks. Me. Out.
So yeah, that's where I am - a sniffling, sneezing, miserable mess! Hahaha
@ReesaAnne16 Thanks! I'm on progesterone which for many people delay said AF. The other month I was on it, AF didn't arrive until 24 hour and after I missed a dose.
I forgot to mention that last night i spent a few hour at work with someone I don't usually work with. She is 18 weeks along and complained the whole time about how uncomfortable she was because of the pregnancy. I know she doesn't know anything about me but I really wanted to say to her, "don't you know what a blessing that is!" I wasn't probably a little too annoyed with her because of how down I'm feeling about things.

Hey y'all, can I ask a question? I had my IUI on Monday and last night I started spotting just a small bit and then this morning it was a bit more (of course only when I wipe) and it was more reddish/brown crap. I'm on progesterone suppositories and I was wondering if anyone has ever had spotting like this after an IUI. I've had four and this is the first time I've spotted. Trying not to freak out here.

@Chartleib I spotted for the rest of the day when I had the IUI. The Dr. said to expect it and it was normal. If you're still nervous, then give them a call to check. Nothing feels better than peace of mind, especially going into the weekend when offices are closed.
Well it stopped now so I guess I'll see how the weekend goes. Their offices are closed on Friday's unfortunately. Thanks for the tip though @LuluMurph. I'll call on Monday to be sure.

@LuluMurph I'm supposed to wait until Sunday 11/5 to test, but I can never wait that long and I usually start testing out my trigger around 9dpIUI

@ it never ends....
@ashcip Hopefully the spotting is GOOD news
@LuluMurph Thanks for the GL! Four of the six follicles are still there, all within 11-13mm. So back I go on Friday!

Anyone else scheduled to test around 11/5?
I just got off the phone with the nurse and we have an IVF consult set for Monday afternoon. Hopefully we can pull the trigger then and get started on BCP. She also mentioned that it is protocol for me to get a sonohysterogram and for DH and I both to be tested for infection disease before IVF meds would start. Those things can happen while on BCP. The lab at my RE office shuts down the last 2 weeks of December for mandated cleaning and maintenance of equipment, I'm hopeful that we can maybe squeak in before then...we'll see!

AFM, I go in for a beta tomorrow at 15 dpiui. I don't really have any hope at this point but there's no real reason for it. It just doesn't seem like I'll ever see a positive. My husband and I will wait to look at the results when I get home from work.

Hahaha
