@kswiger06 I would think that if you got better after eating or drinking something sugary, that it is low blood sugar. Do these events usually happen after a night of drinking? I know binge drinking can cause hypoglycemia.

I don't think we are going to. Kiddo is still really little so I don't think he'd get the point at all. Next year he'll be 2 and 1/2 so I think we'll definitely go then!

@BumpasaurusRex, I'm sorry you're having to deal with the budget/money/income/childcare issues right now. That stuff is so hard to deal with and so overwhelming to even think about or have to face. It really shouldn't be the issue it is for so many of us.

@fourPsinapod are they trick or treating over the weekend rather than on Halloween? Someone asked me this about my area but I just assumed we'd be doing it on Monday.

I agree it sounds like low blood sugar, but no the episodes have absolutely nothing to do with my drinking habits. And I know I said I skip beer and go to the hard stuff, but I don't "binge" drink. Plus I've had this going on since I was a kid, and my mom was pretty strict about not letting 8 year Olds get to any liquor
I'm using a vacation day today because I was planning on driving my mom to and from a dental procedure. Last night, she called to say that she decided against taking whatever pill they prescribed (assuming something to take the edge off her nerves) and that she can drive herself. Now, I'm just on-call in case she needs me. DH made me feel a bit guilty saying that I should go over there anyway... But, I don't think he understands the aspect of my and my mom's personality where we detest asking for help or people going out of their way for us. Now I'm just sitting here waiting to make sure she's ok (she should be done within the hour) and then I'm going to try to make this a productive day.
We haven't turned our heat on yet and when I was making dinner last night my little buddy was shivering. So I put his sweater on him. Then he slept next to me on the couch all night. He's so cute! *edit to try to resize the pic. Sorry it's huge, it didn't work lol
