Campbell's tomato soup. With grilled cheese, of course!
That is one of my favorite comfort meals: tomato soup + grilled cheese= ❤️ ! I'm usually a tomoato basil fan and made some last week when my H was sick.. bad idea while pregnant though. Lol the heartburn was intense.
Now I got his sickness and can't figure out what sounds appetizing. My throat is so damn dry and raw.
@kirstynikoleGet a Husband Brunswick Stew not only does it have a hysterically misogynistic name, it's sweet and savory and awesome. (It calls for 3 different types of meat, but we regularly just use chicken or just chicken & beef). My husband does a great job every time he makes it
@kirstynikole My H always wants Kluski Noodle Soup. I think we have the Mrs. Weiss brand in the blue box. Basically chicken noodle soup and does help with a sore throat!! Plus super easy!
****PSA****** Gilmore Girls Preview is out. And it's good.
******End PSA*****
I never watched Gilmore girls and because of you ladies I have begin to watch it constantly when I am alone. So on my work from home days I work while watching it. I am on Season 3 Ep 1... when the hell does Luke and Lorili get together?!?!?! ugh
@fishymom.... Hahahahaha... Luke and Lorelei, season 3? You have a ways to go. Although I'm really proud that we have hooked you!
ugh.... seriously!?!?! I got all excited that at the season premier she had a dream and they were together... so annoyed. I need to look at how many seasons there are, I feel like I may have made a large commitment with this one.
Another GG fan here too :-) Looks like I fit right in here then. I live in CT and have even taken a trip to the "real" Stars Hallow with a friend of mine years ago and been on the GG set when I lived out in Cali. That was fun :-) Can't wait to see the new!
I watched Gilmore Girls and really enjoyed the first few seasons. But Lorelai's constant terrible decision making (specifically with men and money) started to get on my nerves. Still gonna watch the new season though.
I had one of those vivid pregnancy dreams last night and I'm still disturbed by it. I was going to have a threesome with an elderly couple. Like in their 70s elderly. And the guy took his penis out and it was the size of a soda can. I ruled out that it would fit in my triple stripe and was trying to figure out how I could give a BJ.
Im disgusted. I wonder if that gigantic cheese steak had anything to do with it.
ETA: And they weren't sexy 70s. They were grandma/grandpa 70s.
@foxrosy OMG I am horrified and I just have a mental image
I have never seen GG but it's on my list. Don't ask me why, but I thought the show was about witches. Like i thought the mom and the daughter were for some reason?! My boss brought it up and I was like, "So how much into witchcraft are they? LIke light or is it like really over the top?" She looked at me like I was smoking crack.

YES. Esp that little foray into *SPOILERS* her marriage with Chris?? And breaking off the engagement to Luke when he was just trying to get to know his daughter? GG lost me for a bit there...
Anyone have a go-to sick soup recipe? And by sick soup, I mean one that hits the spot when you're sick.
@kirstynikole When I'm sick, I don't want to do any work, so homemade soups are off the table for me. My go to is Campbell's chicken noodle soup, but made with one can of milk instead of water. If my throat is not sore, I also add some pepper.
@kirstynikole my go-to's are either a tomato pesto or chicken noodle with nutmeg dumplings. Both really filling and soothing! If I'm feeling fancy I'll throw a layer of mozzarella on the top of the tomato pesto soup, broil it, then drown a bunch of oyster crackers in the yumminess
@foxrosy that is one horrifying dream! Maybe no more giant fallic shaped sandwiches for awhile

I got the worst heartburn after tomato basil soup too! It tasted great but not worth the torture later!
I like the vegetable barley soup from Costco. Not homemade obviously, but if you're sick, you need easy comfort food!

God I know. *MORE SPOILING* And constantly having to borrow money because you can't afford your house, but you'll literally throw away your dads investments for you because pride?? I get not wanting to be tied financially to your parents that's admirable. But it really pissed me off.
Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I'm adding them to the list! I was secretly hoping H would decide to spoil me by cooking some homemade soup- I mean I did when he was sick!
As as for the pregnancy dreams- I have had some crazyyy sex dreams. One almost got me to wake up my husband and do him right then! Haha but no, I've never had any involving 70 year olds. Thanks for the laugh-that sounds like a porno gone wrong! Lol
edit: although wakeboarding my husband sounds interesting, it wasn't what I meant to type. Lol
I missed my glucose test by 3 points. EFFFF!!!! Now I have to do the 3 hour on Monday at 8am I didn't even eat anything this last time! WTF is gonna be different?!? Plus I think they drew my blood a little early and Idk if that makes a difference. I'm just so mad! I don't want to take more time off work and sit at the stupid lab by myself all damn morning!
@FishyMom Hmmm... Really, really all time favorites would be Supernatural and Gilmore Girls. I have other shows that I like, and think are great, but something about those two make them very iconic to me, and I don't mind re-watching them endlessly.
@foxrosy I am just making this face after reading that.
I know a girl who sells really expensive kid clothes and has a blog on her website where she posted about the best workout clothes for new moms with a bunch of links to expensive leggings some with matching expensive leggings for your toddler to wear too.
I super feel like this is passive aggressive new mom shaming. And it really irks me. Like take care of your babies ladies. It's fucking stressful and hard and if you want to and can work out that's amazing but if you need to table that to find a routine that's cool too.
@LilyASF42 Thanks, they really are. I've been trying to do pretty good and thought I would pass fine. They told me not to eat for at least an hour before and I just didn't eat anything so that it wouldn't interfere. But really? 3 whole points???
I don't remember how much it was that I failed my one hour one last time but I did at least pass the 3 hour one, thankfully. I'm really not a fan of needles so the whole experience was not fun for me. It's important to know and you want baby to be okay and blah, blah, blah.... ;-) of course. But still sucks.
@becbec28 man I failed my 1 hour with DS by *1* point but passed the 3 hour just fine. I blamed mine in chugging OJ before bed.. good thing my heartburn is too gnarly to do that this time
