@sevenn I'm planning on using cloth diapers. They are cute & save money if you can stick to a system that works for you. I'm planning on using GMD workhorses with covers and blueberry simplex AIO's.
anyone here with prior cloth diapering experience? I know there is a whole board dedicated to it but I like smaller groups :P or anyone planning on doing it?
I did for my first two 100% and gave it a shot with my 3rd but I was so buried with laundry in general that I gave up. I still have my stash though so maybe I'll give it one last go.

I've cloth diapered my son for 18 months. I love it! Unfortunately though there are a lot of myths out there about how to wash them properly (which is perpetuated by the cloth diapers companies themselves). I highly recommend that you visit the website fluff love university dot com and browse through the info in there, and join the Facebook group fluff love and CD science. It's a great resource.

I would like to but H is not so sure. He's not sold on the whole needing to spray the poop off into the toilet after they start eating solids and that they're washed in the same washing machine that washes our clothes (even though I told him diapers are washed as their own load.)
I'm still hopeful I'll be able to get him on board. I'm going to be a stay-at-home mom so I'll be doing most of the diaper changing anyway. He'll do some when he's home, but it's not like he'll be doing a lot or doing them multiple times a day. (He also gets grossed out when I tell him he'll probably have a blow-out on him at some point, and if it's a boy, he will likely get peed on).
I think maybe I need to just take it slower with him and get him used to the idea.
I like the idea of cloth mainly for the money saving aspect. Especially since we plan to have multiple children and they can be reused and I won't be working so we'll have one less income
@beckij34 i was just reading about GMD, they sound really nice especially for the newborn period. i'm building quite a folder of bookmarks! but i am thinking the exact same brands you are. @mirdamae03@thankfully@jackiemarie1989 will be awesome to have some experienced users around!!

@sevenn I plan on cloth diapering and have started to collect things already....DH was not entirely sold on the idea at first so I promised we would stick with AIO's for now; straightforward enough for me and him!
Started to freak out a bit yesterday. While at work last night I noticed that there was two tiny spots of blood on my underwear, but nothing on toilet paper. I checked again 20 minutes later: a couple more spots, but again nothing on TP. Hours later, nothing else had happened. Today, everything still looks good. I think I'm just freaked out because my nausea has tapered off the last 2 days. However, thinking about it I was supposed to start AF yesterday so maybe it was some type of breakthrough bleeding. I keep telling myself that as of today, I'm pregnant.
I applaud those attempting or having done cloth diapering. I just can't get into it personally and use disposables. For anyone opting to also go that route, I highly recommend Amazon mom subscription services. Amazingly convenient to have scheduled delivery (with your elected frequency) and the discount for a subscription is better than what I got in bulk buys at wholesale clubs or sales at some major stores.
CD my first but i worked from home for 10 months so it was much easier. My grandmother kept him until hr was 20 months old so it was easy. This go round i plan to CD again but not as long...depending when baby goes into daycare. Hopefully i can hold that off until 1 years old.
Car seats? Anyone here a guru? My car won't fit three car seats, but I know there is a brand that is more narrow that might work. I don't really want to invest in three new car seats, but it is cheaper then a new car. It was kind of an expensive brand, but I would rather go with something cheaper.

I just got a yeast infection. I hate them! I remember these from my last pregnancy. Anyone else graced with them?
Right after we got married, I started getting yeast infections and had them almost every month. I started using Summer's eve wash down there and they instantly stopped. I always washed down there in the shower with regular soap, but didn't get quite as well in everything because it would sting or wouldn't want to get regular stuff up there. Anyway, it was like magic once I was washing in every shower with that stuff. Idk if that would help you.

Not a guru, but we have the Diono Radian RXT for DD3, they're very narrow and I could easily fit them three across in my sedan or SUV.
I purchased my Diono on Zulily on sale. Keep an eye out there.
@JackieMarie1989 if you know your ovulation date you can just add 38 weeks to estimate your due date. There are a few sites out there that will do this... just google calculate due date and there should be an option to calculate off your ovulation date. Calculating based on your ovulation date is more precise, exactly for the reason you stated in that most women don't ovulate on day 14.

@sevenn We cloth diapered with DS and plan to do it again. We did it mainly for cost effectiveness. We are using the same diapers we used with DS, so a higher up front cost but cheaper overall. We took a free class at a local cloth diapering store, which helped give us information. We ended up using Bum genius all in one during the day and pocket ones at night. I was looking for ease and the all in ones just go on like a diaper.
I would also recommend buying a diaper sprayer (we got ours cheap on Ebay). It attaches to the back of your toilet. It is for spraying the poop (once they start eating solid food- breast milk poopy is water soluble and can just be tossed in the washing machine). The diaper sprayer is also great for dealing with vomit. Even if someone isn't cloth diapering, they should get one. Easy to set up and really worth it.
We also used planetwise diaper pail liners and put them in a regular Dekor diaper pail.
We used powder tide to clean them. They cleaned them well, but they had to be stripped every couple of months to remove the build up of soap....but cheaper than expensive cloth diaper detergents.
These are just some suggestions I found while searching the internet. People probably have some other suggestions and opinions about what works best. Don't be afraid to take the plunge and try it out.

Has anyone experienced showing earlier in their second pregnancy than first? I know it's all bloat now, but just wondering how long I'll be able to keep this under wraps at work. I'm holding off sharing the news until the second trimester. I remember barely showing at 13 weeks with DS (I was able to hide pretty well under flowy shirts and scarves).
@kahlan82 if your wash routine is good you should never have to strip your diapers. I use Tide and never havem stripped them in 18 months. You should only have to strip if you experience stink after washing or ammonia build up (which is a sign of needing a new wash routine). Fluff love and CD science fb group is great for trouble shooting if you have issues. Not trying to be pushy just trying to save you some aggravation if you are interested. The stripping doesn't hurt anything its just a lot of work to go through if you don't have to, that's all. I agree with you on the sprayer after they start solids, it's a life saver for us!

@verde1984@HookEmNelson@NamelessAria I'm all about soup lately too. I also found myself craving a grilled cheese to dip in my tomato soup the last few days. My poor husband is getting some kind of soup for dinner three times this week because of my cravings and aversions.

YEAHHHHHH. Three years with DD. I will definitely be doing it again.

This is a symptom that can be indicative of obstetric cholestasis. If you truly cannot stop itching, I would ask you OB or MW to double check.

Oh man. This is baby #3 for me, and I already look a good 14 weeks along. I'm ridiculously bloated. I am a late term stillbirth momma though, so I am telling people earlier. If I loose this baby for some reason, I want my coworkers to know. ❤️
@Sirius37 Fx it's nothing. Keep up the positive thinking! @thatlauragirl YES to the itching. The last three nights I've taken a hot shower to stop it and then slathered myself in lotion. But now that @Assiram42 mentioned water intake, I'm guessing that is the culprit!
I've eaten a banana for breakfast everyday for the last month and a half. Today I had two bites and tossed it because I was completely disgusted. Same thing for lunch. Everyday since I don't even know when, maybe April, I've had a yogurt and two cheese sticks. For some reason I can't eat it the yogurt anymore. I have 8 more yogurts in the fridge to get through.
@WorkingOnMyNightCheese I am SO THIRSTY! I was planning to ask my doctor about it tomorrow. I'll wake up in the middle of the night so parched and I don't get why because I am drinking plenty of water.
So I was offered the new job today. I'll start when I'm 7 weeks 5 days. I need to plan to take a very short maternity leave and that it will be unpaid. But good news nonetheless!
