@Jkp7749 I'm sorry your having a tough time with your MIL. Would it work, if you have a girl, to just give her two middle names? One after your mom and one after your MIL. Our DD has two middle names as will all of our children.
I've had a girl name in mind since I can remember. Completely at a loss on boy names though. I like the idea of biblical names, and FIL is David, so I like the idea of using David as a middle name (also hubby's middle name), but no idea on a first name! Maybe Jonathan? I'm not sold on it though at all!
If a girl, she will be Hannah Grace. so I'll probably have a boy lol
H and I have been talking about names for years. We quickly realized we usually don't like the names each other suggests haha. We do have 2 girl names we agree on though! H really likes the name Mac for a boy and I like the name Arthur (or Artie for short). H suggested we put the two together to get MacArthur. I liked it at first, but now I'm not so sure. I would be fine with just Mac or just Arthur. Anyone have suggestions for other variations or names that go with Mac?
Boy name has been settled forever: John is a family name, so Jack for short. For a girl, we like old-fashioned names, but nothing is really set in stone. We might let DD suggest some names, once we tell her.
Married 10 years. 1 DD (5 y/o). Thrilled to be pregnant with LO#2 after almost 3 years of trying: due May 2017
@luckywife10 I taught a Mackinley last year and every one called him Mac (he was a sweetheart so I have a very positive association to that name)
@nursek2016 so far we only have a few names we both like, Carson or Nolan for a boy middle name James and Riley, Nora or Madelyn (Maddie) for a girl. Middle name Rose. Middle names were easy because they are important family names. The first name game is hard!!
DH just told me last night that if LO is a boy, he will be named after him. I love his name Vicente. However since the EDD is May 4th, Star Wars day, I already had Lucas is mind for a boy.
We have such an easier time thinking and loving girl names. But as of now we are stuck on Millie Rose for a girl Miles for a boy I really love daydreaming about names!

You can always go for Malachi nickname Mac! I love Mac on its own, or Arthur though!
when we were pregnant with DD1 and we're sure she was a boy, we had settled on Joshua Emmanuel for a boy. We had a girl and we named her Kaelyn Hosannah.
If if we have a boy, we may still go with Joshua Emmanuel but now I'm not 100% sold. my husband is a heart transplant recipient and his donor family said his donor went by the name Pasquale. So, it's in my mind to name after his donor. Probably as a middle name.
If if a girl, I like Skylar. My grandma who just passed was Evelyn, and I would like to name after her too. I don't think Skylar Evelyn really flows... So I guess we are still thinking. Also we wanted to do a biblical middle name.
kristical , I have never met someone else with a Sullivan! We feel the same way...it's been hard to think of another boy name. Do you call him Sully? Other people do with my son, but it's never really caught on as his nickname for us (which I'm totally fine with).
What do we think of the name "Arden" for a girl? My daughter's name is Peregrine (judge away) she goes by Perrie. All of our names end in a hard "n" sound. I also can't name a little girl Brittany to go with Peregrine. I like different names, but not made up.
@bacorrea I love the name Peregrine! I've never heard of Arden before, but I think it definitely goes well. Do you know where Arden comes from? Plain curiosity over here.
It took us forever to agree on a name for DS so I can only imagine the battle it will be this time around. I like Lydia for a girl but I don't think DH is crazy about it. He is *obsessed* with the name Madelyn for some reason and I think he will fight me to the death for that name if it is a girl. I like the name Miles for a boy but I'm not set on it and it kind of reminds me of Miles from Tommorwland, so there's that. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't have a name picked out before delivery.

If you're not set on the name Arden, but want suggestions that are more similar to Peregrine than a Brittany, the baby name board on here is pretty good at coming up with great name lists in different styles. They can be very assertive with their opinions, so if that would bother you, just lurk over there and look at lists they've shared with other people for ideas. Full disclosure, I love lurking the baby names board. There are some super special suggestions sometimes, and total drama about them, and I love that kind of thing!
This is the one baby topic I actually feel prepared about! It's fun reading everyone's names. Hard to believe several months from now we will actually have tiny humans with these names!
Boy- Elliott Evan Girl- Claire Evelyn
The Evan/Evelyn middle name is a tribute to my nephew that passed away a few years ago. I talked to my sister about using it as a middle name long before I got pregnant and she loved the idea.
We've had our girl's name picked since we got our cat last year. LOL... we came across it trying to name the kitten. Our girl's name is Jaesa Ryan or Jaesa Mellanie. Haven't settled on a middle name yet. I can't seem to get the husband to agree on a boy's name yet though. I like old names like Oliver.
2 angel babies Jan 2015 and Nov 2015 BFP Sept 2016 Fingers crossed for a sticky rainbow baby!
I believe IF we had a boy my husband "deserves" a Junior if he wanted. We would called him AJ (Adam Junior). Husband is on the fence and feels it's a bit narcissistic. I think AJ Miller has a ring to it... Future pro-baseball player?
MH is a junior and I put my foot down saying that we would not be having a III. He and his dad don't even go by their first name, they go by their middle name, so I don't really see the point. We had originally said we would uses his same middle name for a boy, but then his b**chy grandma said if we did that she would call him by his middle name. Luckily it's a unisex name so we are going to use it for a girl's middle name instead.
No complete juniors, but my SO comes from a 7 generation long line of first/only sons who are all given the same middle name. If we have a boy we will probably continue that.
We pretty much always call him Sully! I never hear the name around either. We are having such a hard time with boys names this time around because I love his name so much! We also have an Aidan(still love it but so common now) and an Adalin which seems to be becoming popular.
Boy name will either be Gavin Harris or Graham Harris (Harris is after my grandfather and it's a long story behind it but my husband wants a G name for the boy). Girl names are tough because we have different tastes and we already have two girls. If it were up to me, I'd use Darcy or Eloise. Maria may possibly be the middle name after DH's grandmother who passed around the time this babe was conceived. But Darcy Maria and Eloise Maria just doesn't flow the way I like either.
Coming up with names was one of the worst parts of pregnancy last time. We were team green so we had to come up with two names and now I've come to dislike the girl name we had so it's back to the drawing board. Waiting until we find it the sex this time although we both have a feeling this one is a girl.
We both like traditional names with common spellings that are easy to pronounce and we plan to call the child by their name, not name them one thing while planning to use a nickname. Picking a nickname just isn't my jam.
For another boy I like Samuel but I think husband vetoed that early on last time. For a girl? Oh goodness that could come down to the wire!

For a boy, I really like Desmond. Dimitri, Harvey, and Egan are also in the mix, and husband really wants Frederick as an option too. (Family name).
Shiloh for a girl. We've had that for years, but also like Ava, Madison, and Quinn. We'll see.
