La Banquise is definitely one of the best poutine places in Montreal. It is open 24h so very popular at night for party-goers. It is pretty good drunk food lol. https://labanquise.com/
PoutineVille is also really good, and looking at the website to link it here i JUST realized there is one in Toronto so WIN!! https://www.poutineville.com/

@seitzy3 I've had one for 24 hours hope yours ends soon
This!! My head feels like it is going to explode. Just took my BP, but it's normal thank God. Doctor says Tylenol and I want to throw the bottle at someone as it isn't doing jack sh*t.

Hope it gets better for both of y'all. Migraines are the worst. Doesn't help that D is running around singing the national anthem at the top of her lungs, into a plastic cup. I love her
@Alyeena Thank you for the list!! Yes, I live in Montreal but it's impossible to know every good place. I'm glad I asked since I've never been to Poutineville. It looks AMAZING!! And score that you found a Toronto location! In fact, I asked my fiancé if we could go tonight and he's balking because he doesn't feel like leaving the house (wah )
I'm a big fan of La Banquise and Patati-Patata (used to live in the Plateau) and learned to get over the scuzziness of the Montreal Pool Room but I've never tried the Orange Julep and nor been to Comptoir 21. I might have to give it a try next time I'm over that way. And now that I'm off work, I have more free time!
Finally catching up on here after a few days! Congrats to @Sarafuss and @MommaMacri on the beautiful babies.
It looks like we are getting quite a few more babies this coming week and I cannot wait!! Love seeing all the fantastic updates in the birth announcement thread.
I had to google poutine, and now realize this is something I need to have ASAP!
@blondie080300 I'm all about camis all the time. Ive found the Target brand Gilligan o Malley has a "sleep cami" that has lined/molded cups. They arent nursing specific, but I just yanked the cup down without any issues. You can find them in with the pj's at Target. After nursing my son for 2 years, the nips were uncontrollable and could be seen through everything unless I had a lined cami or bra.
@AmMcc12 your day sounds like mine. I slept pretty well last night too. But I just woke up from a 2.5 hour nap. Guess we really needed the rest today! I did however assemble our stroller travel system earlier today. So that kinda counts as productive, no? ;-)
I'm still in the hospital and they are making me stay another night since my BP is still elevated. I've been here since Thursday afternoon when I came into triage and I just want to go home! They started me on Labetalol and are monitoring me so hopefully everything goes smoothly from here and I can go home tomorrow. My poor kids have been passed around between grandparents to cover watching them (and now the hassle of getting them to school tomorrow) since Lucas has been discharged and I can only keep him with me if DH is here to help me with him.
It's so weird because my pre-e labs have been normal pre- and post-delivery so I don't understand why my BP is elevated in the first place or why it won't come down. Anyway, positive vibes and prayers are appreciated! I just want to snuggle this baby at HOME!

@Sarafuss I hope you get to go home soon! At least you do get a little squish to snuggle with
I may or may not be making my husband go out to get me a hot dog from A&W and fries from McDonald's right now. I really feel like a hot dog and A&W fries are so nasty. They are both next to each other so it's okay right?

Checking in quick. Completed our registry at babies r us today, emmett was tired after so ordered bww to go, I'm no fool. Basket of cheese curds, basket of onions rings... Super yum. We had a great day with e taking a really short nap. After a week or so of very whiny behavior, emmett was super happy and goofy all weekend with zero tears. I think I saw a 2 year molar in his mouth when he was having a giggle fit today... could be the culprit!
I'm feeling so defeated tonight. My first 3 pregnancies went so swimmingly, and although I was tired at the end, I've never been as uncomfortable as I am now. Mostly because of my BP issues and my headaches. If I ran to the hospital every time I had one, I would be there every night. They're waking me up from a dead sleep... It's just frustrating. I hate taking Tylenol so frequently as well. Anyone else with this issue? How are you dealing?
ETA just realized maybe I should have posted this in symptoms or something... Sorry

@Sarafuss - So glad that Lucas was discharged and hoping that you will be soon too! I couldn't wait to break out of there either. It starts to feel prison-like after a couple of days. Sending good juju your way!!
I've been MIA on here the past few days. Sorry I had to skip a few pages. Love to you all! My random is that at this point there is no lowering my kids into their cribs. I just drop them a foot and a half up and hope for the best. I'm excited for this baby to be on the outside.

@Emillz5 Congrats on Beau! He's a handsome little guy!
It felt really weird not leaving for work with my FI this morning (we carpool together). I packed him a lunch though and have started planning my day. The dresser for our baby room is being delivered this morning so I can start putting away the rest of his things sitting in piles in his crib.
I have my 37 week appointment this afternoon too with my GBS stab and first cervical check. I'm a little nervous!
Good luck at the appointment @geminigirl16 our dresser is being delivered later this week too. I can't wait to clean up the nursery. It's a disaster. Clothes are all over the floor because they don't fit in the closet. I feel like once her room is done I can relax.
We have things everywhere too @rock1cherry. The baby room was painted yesterday so I get the fun job of reassembling everything this week!
On the negative side, when Pottery Barn delivered my dresser this morning it was missing the topper that I wanted. I know I ordered it but it's not listed on my receipt and I never noticed (grrrr) and the store is not open yet. Crossing my fingers that it is easily resolved but can't help but feel annoyed at the moment.
Major weekend win/accomplishment: we got LO to sleep flat on her back in her bassinet for (partial) two nights in a row!! She also managed to nibble both boobs here and there, not quite latching yet, but yay for better and safer sleep! She is too active/petite for the SwaddleMe velcro wrap (it would shift upwards and cover her face); but the SwaddleMe pod is working wonderfully. I'm tempted to pick up a Woombie also.
I'm so screwed. I really feel DS is going to be climbing out of his crib within the next week. Not ready for this transition weeks before LO is due
@RedMar - I feel you on this. DS fell from the top rail of his crib trying to climb out a week ago. So now we are 1 week into transitioning into a toddler bed. Not gonna lie - it isn't an easy transition. In the crib he was confined so he would just lay down and go to bed. Now he fights bedtime for an hour or more every single night. I just hope that it gets better before this baby comes along. I think you are a bit closer to your due date than I am, but do you think that there is any chance you could get him transitioned before the new baby comes along? It seems like it could be easier to deal with now versus then.
There was a girl at MILs work who was due a few weeks ahead of me. She just had her baby and MIL said he was 7 lbs 8 oz so "pretty big". LOL what? Umm no that's average. Hope she doesn't think my baby is a giant

Exact weight Reese was at birth. She looked pretty tiny to me.
Morning random: When mommy is the most pregnant, then toddler gets an excessive amount of screen time. I have given up on all responsibilities, including parenting, this week. Only 4 more days!!!!
Board is quiet so far this morning.. you all sleeping? If you're all off having babies i am going to boil over in jealousy. I've got 15 days until due date, but trying to prepared myself or a possibility of 25 days until baby given that E was 10 days past due date. I know people say #2 comes sooner, but no always, and at 37 weeks his head was not engaged and nothing was happening.
Not in any way calling for baby to come out now at 38 weeks, but around 40 would be really fantastic
@mhilpisch10 Thanks! Waiting for the store manager to call me back about the order mix up. Crossing my fingers that they won't give me a hard time.
In all truthfulness, I find that store eye-wateringly expensive but it was a gift from the in laws so you know what they say about not looking a "gift horse in the mouth".
@RG1 That sounds like my mom. When the doctor said that my baby might be close to 8 lbs at birth, her comment was "oh my, could you imagine?!" Ummmm yeah, I might have to live it. I wish she'd keep her comments to herself sometimes
@geminigirl16 -- good luck with the order mix up. And don't worry too much about the GBS and cervical check. Even if it is uncomfortable, it's over quickly. I was really lucky this time and even though my cervix was high and closed, it really wasn't too uncomfortable. Hope your appointment goes well!
