Re: Randoms 8.15-8.21
What did you decide to do about your induction decision?
Friends just came over with lunch. I am not sure how I'm going to be alert for the next hr or two. Zzzzzz...
1. They tend to bring meals to feed us
2. They automatically go wash their hands before holding baby A
3. They leave at a decent time as they know my boobs are engorged and ready to burst
On the other hand, it is actually interesting to see some of my friends who are not around babies get offended when I ask them to wash their hands. I'm not saying they have germs but I'm asking out of precaution and they look at us like "really? geez!" I can't wait until they have babies themselves one day. It's a tad bit frustrating to have to explain myself why I need them to wash their hands first. C'mon now! And I say to them, "I'm going to have to feed the baby soon..." but they have no plans to leave anytime soon. Lol, I guess I can't blame them for not getting it.
I wouldn't think it is rude to give those friends a less subtle hint. "Thanks for stopping by, but we are exhausted and I need to feed the baby..."
Of course she isn't obligated to bring anything but as DHs mom you would think she would've been considerate and brought us dinner. DH went back to work Friday so I don't think we have to worry about her coming back for a while but I was super annoyed by the time she left.
And I'm lonely. Being home with kids and baby all day is tiring and lonely. I want a grown up to talk to. I think I need more real life friends. ..
I am 4 weeks pp and last weekend I was thinking the same thing. I was just plain lonely and needed a break from the "routine". I called a couple ppl that had been wanting to meet DS and a few friends. Thankfully several were free. It was nice to have ppl just come over and talk too.
to keep up better than with the app. I miss y'all but am not great at one handed phone use yet.... Might get a loopy case so I don't drop phone on Hayes' head!!
We have been super selfish with our time this go round. Only have let a few people visit. I think we will see more soon, but I love the friends that just get it. My in laws have been here and my father in law does not get it. Every feeding has me in my bedroom with Hayes alone. DH sits with me a lot but you would think eventually FIL would catch on. Nope.

@ginger819, That's just insane. Not ok. She can either get a grip or leave. Hope things get easier for you.
