I cannot wait until iphone 7 comes out (hopefully in a month). Never again will I only get 16 gig on my phone...I am emptying pics daily to make more space. Ahhhhhh!!

This was exactly why I got this bigger storage during my pregnancy. I cleared it out two weeks before she was born. I still can't believe how many photos/videos I have of her in the last 9 days. And I thought I took a lot of pictures of my dog...

My thoughts exactly. His instagram acct has been very inactive since baby A. It's a little sad...
Anyone else's dog or pet want absolutely nothing to do with your little one?? I have a miniature dachshund who is 14 years old. I've brought her up on the couch with me while I'm holding DD and when she realizes I'm holding her she wants to get away and jump off of the couch. I swear she gives me the side eye. I'm hoping as time goes on she will realize DD isn't going anywhere and she'll just have to become friends! I pictured her curling up with LO in her swing like I've seen on youtube, not so much though
@jkershaw2013 My parents still have our pup and we will finally be introducing them next week when she is two weeks. I am nervous about it. I'm guessing or dog will probably want nothing to do with her either. Our dog is pretty spoiled.

@jkershaw2013 our dog sniffed baby here and there, but didn't want to sit with me and baby for the first week or so. He does now sometimes, but he's still not super interested in baby after over 3 weeks
Ugh I wish my dog didn't care about the baby .. My dog will try to jump onto the changing table while baby is getting changed and wants to lick his head and face when I'm holding him on the couch. Plus when he starts crying the dog gets all worked up and wants to be right next to the baby

You guys...my furbaby wants nothing to do with our human baby. He is afraid of her grunts when she fusses. If he is near her while she's doing that, he will growl and run to his crate.
We followed the steps - brought baby's hat first before bringing baby. We let him sniff her in a calm environment but he immediately walked away from baby and put his head under my hand.
Baby's been home exactly a month today and still, no changes to his behavior.
It breaks my heart to see that he's not doing well with her and in turn, DH gets upset at dog because he growls at her. Ugh! We are going to seem some behavior coaching options in town. Vet told us to never ever leave him with her even for a second as scared dogs can snap out of fear. Obvi we weren't going to even if we didn't think he'd do anything to her but yeah, hope things get better...
@AliKay20 I'm afraid of that too. Dog does not get left alone around baby at all. I have noticed my dog is more jumpy and barks at more things than he used to. Like he will bark at an unfamiliar noise inside the house, and it's usually just my kids playing. He doesn't do anything, just bark. But it's annoying and tells me he is stressed. And if he does sniff the baby, he tends to get in his face. My dog likes to sniff and nudge new things with his nose.
I can't wait to wear my wedding ring again. I feel so naked without it. It's been such a long time. but my swelling is just finally going away at 9 days PP.

Omg you must've been in so much pain! Also, what a cool tat...it looks familiar...like that one time I took organic chem and cried every day.
I can't take my engagement ring off. I'm still 30 lbs over pre-preg. weight. With my achy hands, I just want my ring off asap! Never again will I make the same mistake.
@AliKay20 my feet were definitely killing me. I kept thinking they must have a limit and would explode at some point. The tattoo is half of the beta endorphin for "runners high". I love to run, and my best friend has the other half of the molecule on her foot. #sciencenerd
So you left your ring on and can't get it off? Hoping your hands go down so you can take it off soon.

@BrunetteBabe722 I put a picture of my rings on my hand once they fit again and put it on my Instagram bc I was SO excited!!
Our furbabies seem to be adjusting well. Dog licks LOs head and feet but is very gentle. The cat- I have noticed infront of LOs nursery at night when I hear him crying. She FINALLY stopped peeing on the carpet infront of the nursery
editrd- typing with one hand is still difficult
34 Mother of 4 year old and 2 Labs. Happily Married to my Hubs of 6 years.
@BrunetteBabe722 I'm looking forward to the day I can out mine back on! I've had to wear one if those Qalo rings for most of my pregnancy due to swelling. I tried a couple of days ago but my knuckle is I guess still swollen. I've had pretty bad carpal tunnel in my left hand that started in the 3rd trimester. I hope they fit again someday!
Omg. I didn't know power walking was an Olympic sport. It's on right now and they all look like they need to go to the bathroom so desperately. Must be hard. Going from living room to bathroom is a trip when you need to go. Imagine doing laps like that!
@AliKay20 I've decided you and I don't ever get any sleep these days. Thank goodness for this board. Aria was attached to my boob all freakin night and I need the entertainment!

@msdidonato I almost posted a picture too but I figured no one would really care lol plus my nails need to be done so bad!
@jkershaw2013 Yes, my problem is my knuckles too! It fits fine on my finger but trying to get it over my knuckle is such a pain, I have to run my hand under cold water to get it off. I was planning on getting a QALO one once my ring no longer fit but it fit most of my pregnancy so I never ended up buying one.

At the risk of being vilified, would anyone be interested in considering starting a facebook group for the regulars soon? I find the Bump app kinda clunky and once I'm on maternity leave, won't be on the computer nearly as much! (I'm in an awesome group from my DD's BMB and we still chat daily)
I'm getting to the point where I would feel comfortable with a Facebook group. As long as it has limited members. The first one was like 100 people and it was crazy busy. I'd like it to be more personal.

For my old BMB we opened the group up and allowed anyone around to join as long as they were active. After a time we made it so you must be "vouched for" by at least 2 members in order to be added- we still take on people but they are all people who were somewhat regular back when we used TB. If that makes sense.
Can we wait just a few more weeks until all babies are "out" and we don't have so many drivebys dropping in to AW birth stories or ask random questions? Or I guess if we had protocol in place to not allow them in in the first place?! Idk...
I hate the drive by AW birth stories. My confession is I don't click the love it's for those.

I'm open to either way, @texasmama2014! We started ours around this point on my old BMB and it worked similarly-- open for a period of time and had to be active on the bump. If you want to wait another week or two, that works.
I like the idea of having to be "vouched for" so that way we keep it just the regulars. I don't want a ton of people that I've only talked to once or seen their username a handful of times.
Our first date night was a success! You guys...Bad Moms was hilarious with a great underlying msg (spoiler alert but you already knew: We moms are not perfect by any means no matter how hard we try and that's okay).
DH & I cracked up and agreed we definitely have a new level of appreciation watching it vs. if we did not have baby A.
My boobs feel like they are going to burst!!! Can't wait to get back and give baby a good hug and a kiss or two or three...

I'm comfortable with a f b group now. I've been trying to use the app ever since I went in the hospital ( easier to do one handed while I am holding little guy or have an I v in) Dh snores so loud. And he cuddles me in his sleep. Which while very sweet, the combination makes me ready to bop him. Silver lining to being back in the hospital this past week - my parents have gotten a chance to really bond with him. They are involved normally, but are an hour away. Now the baby is really attached, and completely comfortable being left in their care. I hadn't planned to be away from My seven day old, but hopefully it will make daycare less traumatic in a couple weeks. My dad offered to send my mom and I on a long weekend to visit my in-laws. They are on the other side of the country and my father in law can't travel, neither can dh"s grandma. Dh has no time off, and there have been some severe health issues in his family. We'll be out there in the spring, but they'll miss baby stage. And if his dad's cancer comes back (highly agressive sarcoma, currently in remission) I Would hate for him not to have met his grand baby... Of course, after this last week everything has the caveat "depending on My health," so tired of it.
@Allisun85 whoa! I must have missed the post where you were admitted back in the hospital. I hope everything is ok?!
