@JamieH2000 we got married at the RIU in Montego Bay! Jamaica was amazing! We have 2 destination weddings coming up this summer, so I am really unsure if we are going to make it, hopefully we will be pregnant!

AFM, my cycle was cancelled and the office refused to do an iui because of the number of follies (4) and my age (27). I knew this was a possibility because my re office is like crazy when it comes to multiples. My re is also on vacation and I feel like we could have pushed more with her, but the visiting dr just said no way and wouldn't even discuss it further. We did have the option to do an ER anyways, but were told we would have less than 50% chance of having an embryo to transfer with only four follies. (No idea how this makes sense--four follies are too many to do an iui because I would likely get pregnant with multiples but not enough for an ER because I probably wouldn't have any embryos to transfer...does this make sense at all? No.) anyways, we decided it wasn't worth wasting one of our three lifetime ivf cycles for that. Soooo DH and I decided we were going rogue and doing our own timed intercourse cycle. They had me trigger tonight with ovidrel so I know when we need to BD for TI and we decided that if the dr wouldn't do an iui we are trying on our own. We spent a lot of time talking about the risks of multiples and we feel like our odds are acceptable. We were explicitly told no BDing--protected or unprotected--until AF comes and I'm not a rule breaker so it makes me feel a little guilty, but we felt this was the best way to feel like this cycle wasn't a complete waste and we're just giving it to God. If a BFN, we will start a new cycle once AF shows up and we were told our chances of good numbers are high. Like Jamie said in her case, the re said this kind of issue only happens in 1-2% of cases. So happy to have won this lottery!!

My transfer went great today!!! There are 3 little embryos trying to find a comfy home! We had 2 embryos with excellent quality (9cell and 6cell) and 1 with average quality (5cell) my lining was a 10 which is great too!!! Soo im hoping and praying it works! Beta on Friday 8/26!

@srh18- So sorry the cycle was cancelled. Its honestly just devastating and I am glad you are hanging in there. I would definitely try on our own as well, I think we all would. So don't feel guilty about that at all! Did you RE mention what they would try differently or when they would start again? They want me to wait a month (start estrogen patches mid Sept when I ovulate next), so that's hard when I feel like I've been waiting so long. Sorry if you have mentioned this already, but was your diagnosis DOR? Mine was borderline DOR with an AMH of 1.55, but after this.. I think they are pretty confident that I have DOR and will treat me with protocols for that. Its such a devastating diagnosis because there is nothing you can do about it.. but we will keep trying of course. Thinking of you often and welcome to the tww with us all!

@srh18 I totally would have gone rogue also and tried on my own despite doctors orders! Last year I was officially diagnosed with lupus and my rheumatologist wanted us to stop TTC for 6 months because the myth was the fertility meds would cause the lupus to flare. I was like HELL NO and went ahead with TTC and treatments anyway. Everyone in my life was like I can't believe you disobeyed doctors orders! Anyway, long story short I would definitely do what you and your DH decided and try TI on your own. I am keeping my FX crossed so hard for you!

Thanks for your support, ladies!! I appreciate that you all would do the same thing. I had a dream last night that I got pregnant and had to tell my RE, who told me I wasn't allowed to be pregnant and that I needed to go home and forget it ever happened. Lol.
@JamieH2000 I don't have DOR. I don't actually fully understand what happened--I had over 35 follies starting to grow at my first monitoring appt, but then they just kinda stopped. My AMH was 9.08 when they tested it a few months back, but my RE said I should take that with a grain of salt because PCOS can skew AMH results. I think my biggest fear is that my eggs are absolute crap but they won't know until I have an ER. I am so sorry for this new dx for you. This whole process is so devastating and sometimes it feels like we're being kicked when we're already down. Thinking of you.
@srh18- wow that is a great AMH! You will definitely get this to work! I can't believe that it didn't this first time... Does your RE have any what went wrong? That is crazy to go from 35 to 4. Did they increase the meds to the max? My RE mentioned giving me HGH as a supplement next time to give an extra boost. I really hope you do get pregnant this month... Telling your RE won't be fun but I would take that scolding any day if I was pregnant. Have you done many IUIs before? If it doesn't work this month, when do you get to start again? Maybe we will be cycle buddies again!! Sending positive vibes your way!

My day 5 report was pretty darn good! I got 3 embryos already biopsied and frozen! And another couple that may make it to blast either Sat or Sun. I am so so relieved.

So today was transfer day. I had 2 transfered, but RE said he wasn't sure if the other 10 would make it to freezing. Should I worry? They were really happy with the transfer though.

AFM: Im having a bit of an emotional day. I called to check on my other embryos (5 remaining post transfer) and unfortunately, none of them made it to freeze. I am really disappointed. She warned me that she was putting the best 3 in and that this could happen, but I was hoping some made it. Its not a major deal, I have three in me- hopefully they stay with me! I am just realizing the reality of my situation. I am running out of money. I only have enough for ONE more round, and maybe an IUI- that's it. SOOO I was really hoping for some Frozen babies for FETs (much easier on the wallet). It is all just starting to get scare me; if we're out of money, we're out of opportunity. I have been an emotional mess since the call. I'm praying so hard this round works!!!!! Everything is crossed at this point!

@cato99 my hubby was only scared if one of them splits and we have triplets! I think we have come to terms with the idea of multiples, just don't want to get hopes up. This has been such a process I would be ok with not doing it again.

@colleen0516 Thanks.. I decided to take the day off work to just relax afterwards. My day 3 report was ok.. They told me of the 9 that fertilized 3 graded "good", 3 were "fair" and 3 were "poor". That's all the info they gave me.. Was expecting a little more info but maybe that's normal?

Hi guys, it's been so nice reading about everyone's journey. This is my first ever round of IVF and we had our day5 transfer on the 20th. So I've spent the last 5 days non stop googling anything and everything to do with this process... Argh! Its exhausting! Good luck to everyone...
Thanks @Colleen0516! My beta is on Tuesday morning. Originally I hadn't even contemplated taking a test before this..but now....well I'm fairly sure I won't last! There are only so many more times I can type into Google "how many days after 5dt did you get a bfp" I think I've read about a million responses! Lol!

@teamginger13! So real! Lol! I've read lots of you guys talking about grading of embryos, My dr hasn't given me any info on that. I don't even know that was done. I have three frozen embryos from this round and no idea what quality!

AFM, my cycle was cancelled and the office refused to do an iui because of the number of follies (4) and my age (27). I knew this was a possibility because my re office is like crazy when it comes to multiples. My re is also on vacation and I feel like we could have pushed more with her, but the visiting dr just said no way and wouldn't even discuss it further. We did have the option to do an ER anyways, but were told we would have less than 50% chance of having an embryo to transfer with only four follies. (No idea how this makes sense--four follies are too many to do an iui because I would likely get pregnant with multiples but not enough for an ER because I probably wouldn't have any embryos to transfer...does this make sense at all? No.) anyways, we decided it wasn't worth wasting one of our three lifetime ivf cycles for that. Soooo DH and I decided we were going rogue and doing our own timed intercourse cycle. They had me trigger tonight with ovidrel so I know when we need to BD for TI and we decided that if the dr wouldn't do an iui we are trying on our own. We spent a lot of time talking about the risks of multiples and we feel like our odds are acceptable. We were explicitly told no BDing--protected or unprotected--until AF comes and I'm not a rule breaker so it makes me feel a little guilty, but we felt this was the best way to feel like this cycle wasn't a complete waste and we're just giving it to God. If a BFN, we will start a new cycle once AF shows up and we were told our chances of good numbers are high. Like Jamie said in her case, the re said this kind of issue only happens in 1-2% of cases. So happy to have won this lottery!!

@srh18 I totally would have gone rogue also and tried on my own despite doctors orders! Last year I was officially diagnosed with lupus and my rheumatologist wanted us to stop TTC for 6 months because the myth was the fertility meds would cause the lupus to flare. I was like HELL NO and went ahead with TTC and treatments anyway. Everyone in my life was like I can't believe you disobeyed doctors orders! Anyway, long story short I would definitely do what you and your DH decided and try TI on your own. I am keeping my FX crossed so hard for you!

@JamieH2000 I don't have DOR. I don't actually fully understand what happened--I had over 35 follies starting to grow at my first monitoring appt, but then they just kinda stopped. My AMH was 9.08 when they tested it a few months back, but my RE said I should take that with a grain of salt because PCOS can skew AMH results. I think my biggest fear is that my eggs are absolute crap but they won't know until I have an ER. I am so sorry for this new dx for you. This whole process is so devastating and sometimes it feels like we're being kicked when we're already down. Thinking of you.

We we are only transferring one, per my doctor's suggestion. My husband tried to push for two but I am irrationally scared of multiples.

AFM: Im having a bit of an emotional day. I called to check on my other embryos (5 remaining post transfer) and unfortunately, none of them made it to freeze. I am really disappointed. She warned me that she was putting the best 3 in and that this could happen, but I was hoping some made it.
Its not a major deal, I have three in me- hopefully they stay with me! I am just realizing the reality of my situation. I am running out of money. I only have enough for ONE more round, and maybe an IUI- that's it. SOOO I was really hoping for some Frozen babies for FETs (much easier on the wallet). It is all just starting to get scare me; if we're out of money, we're out of opportunity. I have been an emotional mess since the call.
I'm praying so hard this round works!!!!! Everything is crossed at this point!

June 2016- Laproscopy- found/removed mild endo and confirmed only 1 normal healthy ovary.
August 2016- IVF #1 with Antagonist Protocol- Cancelled (2 lead follies), converted to IUI- BFN
