@JennM205 Happened to me my last pregnancy in the last 3 or 4 weeks. I gained about 5 lbs/week those last weeks, and I'm sure most of it was just water retention because my swelling was ridiculous. It always worried me, especially because my BP went up as well, but my OB was never concerned because my urine sample was always good. She said the swelling was probably the cause of the higher BP. Admittedly, my OB is pretty relaxed. The nurses when I checked in to L&D seemed worried about all my swelling, but once they realized there was no pitting, they let it go.
ETA: I hope it's also not a big deal for you! Keep us posted!
Thanks, ladies. I'm definitely feeling something here or there, just not what I'm used to. I know as they run out of room, the movements become less pronounced. Just lack of movements combined with my general all around misery and lack of sleep because of my threenager are making it a tougher than normal day.
Ugh the anxiety this causes is the worst! Sorry you're dealing with this.
Ava didn't move from 6am-1130am last Friday. I tried soda, ice water, and three mini cupcakes (sue me) and even had H try and move her. Nothing. I went to the doctor and of course 5 minutes after being hooked up to NST she was a jumping bean.
And I know sometimes dealing with my threenager I forget there's a baby in there until she jabs me in the vagina.
On another note: @MrsVoorhees I think you said it one of the threads that you listened to "a thousand years" while delivering? I'm at the nail salon and it came on and I listened hard to it and legit starting tearing up. Told the lady I thought I had some nail dust in my eye lol
I chewed out DH for his credit card bill yesterday because he has been going to the gas station for snack items/lunch way too much. Well I just went through a drive thru... oops.
Oh hello, purple stretch marks across my boobs the last 3 weeks of pregnancy after religiously using Bio-Oil on my belly all pregnancy and not thinking of my boobs! How nice to see you!
If it makes you feel any better, bio oil wouldn't have prevented them I've used it religiously morning and evening and still have them on my belly.
@seitzy3 died laughing at your carpet story! That's great... My hubby is also hard to make jealous, but that doesn't stop me from trying. I had a prenatal massage yesterday and I kept telling DH leading up to it that I was shaving my legs especially for Wayne and couldn't wait to meet him, etc.... as it turned out Wayne was a little bit of a disappointment in the looks department but WOW he gave a great massage.
The irritability has hit me hardcore this week ladies. I feel sorry for those around me.
I get it and sympathize. I've been crazy irritable and emotional. I'll yell at DH over stupid stuff that are not even wrong of him and then burst into tears saying "I'm just so hormonal!" Over and over. It's super fun and I'm sure hes enjoying it
@MrsVoorhees I swear you must work for Dunder Miflin or something because all of these people that you describe at work are like hilariously awful "The Office" characters! Amazing!
@JennM205 I gained 2.5 pounds from Thursday to Tuesday appointment, my OB took one look at my feet and ankles and said "we'll, there's your weight gain!" After the appointment I Primed some medium weight compression socks, knee highs per her recommendation to get me through the final few weeks. She was nit.concerned just wants me comfortable.
@AmMcc12 if there were more than just a few weeks left I would seriously consider getting a shirt that said "crazy, hormonal pregnant lady. I'm sorry in advance" lol! Patience is hard these days.
@SLou24 I may have missed it but how's jury duty going? Are you feeling okay with the extended sitting and all the other good stuff that goes with serving?

How did you get them on? I can barely get regular socks on right now haha!

Socks?! I am proud of myself for getting my pants on this morning without having to sit down.
Y'all my c-section date was in the 10 day AccuWeather forecast this morning. They have forecasted the day of my daughter's birth already! Am I the only one that could get a little freaked out over this?
@VeraMali I am SO excited for you! I freak out when I see a temporary license plate with baby's due date on it! I also ran over to DH in a grocery store and showed him a tub of yogurt that expires on September 9th haha
I love how my OB office has a sign in sheet with "arrival time" and "appt time" with the incentive for you to be punctual.
And currently my doc is running an hour behind (common pattern).... Fabulous.... Because i don't have other shit I need to do with a baby coming in less than a month...
@ajn092 not too bad so far!! Well, I should say not too bad today, haha. Yesterday I was really uncomfortable and having some serious cramping/swelling by the time I got home. Today I went outside to walk during our lunch hour (just ending now), so I hope that will help. The biggest thing is waiting for court breaks to pee, I really try my hardest to not hold things up for my bladder!!

My spouse commented on how mine are turning purple. The look of death quickly fixed that.
Right there with you on the threenager @psubecky23.
He didn't really do "terrible 2's", but my 2yo certainly is right now. Please say this means the threenager phase for him will be better?!
Mine has progressively gotten worse and we are at almost 5. Last night I asked her to cuddle with me so the thunder wouldn't scare me. She told me "cuddle with yourself" however she later did offer up her blanket to make sure I wasn't scared.
@psubecky23 - I actually had the same issue this morning, really for the first time this whole pregnancy. he's usually pretty active while I'm waking up in the morning and after my morning walk with he dog...but I really didn't notice much. So I laid down for a little bit - felt enough movement to make me feel better and head in to work. Obviously as soon as I sat down at my desk, he was all up in my ribs and punching my ovaries. Hoping it all turns out ok for you and the baby is just having a lazy day!
This could totally go under TW Tuesday, but since it's Wednesday, I figured I'd post it here... My neighbor flags me down this morning to chat and basically ask how I'm doing and whatnot - so I get about 3/4 of the way across my yard to hers, and she's all - "Oh, you totally have the pregnancy nose! Are you waddling yet too?" Ugh - yeah. That's really the one thing I've been kinda self conscious about - cause my schnoz has swollen up to bulbous status. However - that is really the worst thing anyone has said to me so far - but still...
AND - if my brain remembers correctly from this mornings reading of the appointments thread, it looks like we might have 2-3 more babies announced by the end of tomorrow? Exciting! I'm really glad I'm due at the beginning of the month, cause I'm getting some serious FOMO with all these babies arriving already...
Update: still haven't been seen but luckily brought an almond snack. These other pregnant mommas are staring at me like vultures. Maybe I could sell them for $1 ea and pay off my double stroller

You're so entrepreneurial. (Ugh, that was a hard word to spell.) Sorry you've been waiting so long. At least you have your phone. Seriously, what did people do before smart phones when waiting in doctor's offices? Read a book?!
Crashing in here to whine. I'm ready to start maternity leave now. Let baby cook for four weeks, but get me out of here!!!! No vacation for over a year and working overtime with not enough staff has me pulling my hair out. It also doesn't help that I finally put together my time off request and realized that if baby goes to due date it'd put my maternity out past when I want it to (I want to come back right before Thanksgiving to allow for half week work/half week paid time off to ease into it). But that would only give me 9 weeks off and I can take up to 11....so I could take weeks before leave off...but i'd already told everyone including my boss that i'd work up until my due date. This realization is making me extra twitchy today. (Also - I could take the additional time off work at the back end and not go back by mid-December, but we have to start paying daycare mid-November to keep LOs spot, so it seems like a waste of money to do that and not go to work.)
In other news...so excited for @jensou and her beautiful little one and to look for the new babies to come by tomorrow!?!
@MrsVoorhees... the socks arrive tomorrow, please hold tight for a possible fffc that explains what and how many people were required to get said socks onto legs.
While e is napping I just washed all my new pump parts (should sterilize old pump parts too but that's in his closet), and boiled pacifiers. My husband moved the glider over yesterday and replaced it with an arm chair from our play room for emmetts room, it looks so cozy.
My to-do list only has 1 or 2 things left guys... yikes.
@AmMcc12 I added some things to my Target registry after both of my showers that were technically baby-related, but really not...yoga pants, free & clear laundry detergent, prenatal vitamins, etc. The check out lady was really impressed
@AmMcc12 some registries (amazon) limit what is eligible for the completion discount. We have toddler items on our registries that we might buy as bday or xmas gifts for our older kiddo... why not?
@AmMcc12 if you have an Amazon registry you can still add items after your shower to be eligible for the completion discount. I've added a ton of items since so we can get a discount on them.

The anesthesiologist stopped by my room yesterday to introduce himself and ask a few questions. He was smokin' hot!
I'm planning on no pain meds, but could probably go for an epidural if he's on shift when I really go into labor.
@jensou congrats! She's beautiful!
