Still having lots of contractions. Not painful, but just annoying enough that it's hard to sleep. I felt a small gush of fluid when I rolled over, so I let the nurse know after I went to the bathroom. It tested negative for amniotic fluid, so apparently now I wet my pants too. I just want to go home!
No, I have to stay for 24hrs of monitoring. Since I got stepped on yesterday, there is slight concern that if I'm having all these contractions without progression, I may have placental abruption. So far baby girl is doing great though. So hopefully 12 more hours and I'll go home.
@RedMar I think I saw the response but yes, Sue Johanson, or SueJo as I liked to call her. I watched that all the time in late middle school early high school... best. Show. Ever. Loved the pleasure chest and of course the fantastic and downright ridiculous questions people asked. I think she was Canadian if I remember correctly...
@SLou24 - Yuck. I hope it's quick. I'm really surprised you weren't dismissed too!
@marikkita12 - Thanks for asking. They're both doing really well. Just saw their pediatrician yesterday and he has no concerns. Neither have come back up to their birth weight yet but I'm convinced that part of it is the fact that they're lazy eaters (Jo moreso than Oliver). However, they excel at snuggle time, so I'm enjoying that!
@izzetoot - He's so sweet!! Great job on growing such a beautiful little man! Sounds like you had a pretty great labor too. Congratulations all around!!
@Bibliobebe - Ummm yeah, thank goodness for warranties!
@fireflygirl12 - Thinking of you and hoping you're home soon!
RE sex - What's that?? *sigh* It's sounds vaguely familiar, like something that I may have once enjoyed, ya know, before my belly took over my body. Now that the babies are here though, I may see an end in sight to the drought. Granted, I may be using a 10 pairs of binoculars and a telescope to see that end, but whatevs.
Thanks for checking @kimmyschmidt, the decels stopped, so no concerns there right now. I feel asleep for awhile and it looks like contractions slowed way down, but now I think the monitor just slipped. I can't sleep and it's still 4:15am here. They are letting me stand/walk around a little bit though, so at least I can stretch my legs!
To the moms of 2+ kiddos - You have my utmost respect. Having another baby when you've got kids at home is not easy. Hell, just having a baby isn't easy. But making sure that the older kids aren't feeling left out or pushed aside or anything of the sort is tiring. While Robert and Elleanore have been SUPER helpful, I know this isn't easy for them. Cue the mom guilt!
Side note - I hate postpartum hormones more than I hate pregnancy hormones. Uggghhhh!
@izzetoot Oh my gosh the first photo of your son has me laughing hysterically! He looks like a little old man with his face scrunched like that and with his hand splayed on his knee. He looks like he's about to give some grand worldly advice ala Italian Mobster style... 'Jimmy, sit down. I'm about to tell you about the inside...'
Soo soo cute! Congratulations mama to you, little monte, big bro and daddy!
@fireflygirl12 Sounds like an interesting night for you. Glad to hear the monitors are showing things are going well for you and baby girl and hope you get some much deserved sleep!!!
My random today: I'm only 35+4 today but since everything is set for our LO, I keep daydreaming about my water breaking and finally getting to meet him/her. I know it's still early and I want baby to cook, but I feel like a kid on Christmas morning waiting at the top of the stairs for mom and dad to wake up so we can run downstairs and open our gifts.
This girl had sex last night. On top, zero issues. Boo yeah. Odd that a conversation sparked a little lovin over at my place.. I promise I wasn't thinking of any of you in the moment
I'm sitting in my car and it's just pouring out and I don't want to get out but my appointment is soon....blargh. I've been trying to wait it out but it's just getting worse
UGH! yesterday I was super exhausted and laid down at 8, didn't fall asleep till after 11 and then slept HORRIBLY!
Now I sit here at work, exhausted and weepy (so not the usual me) and just trying to figure out how I will get through my day, or how I will take a PTO day!
Me: 32 DH: 31
TTC #2 since January 2018
Baby #1 DD Born 8/25/2016 BFP: 8/11/18 Due: 4/26/18
@unwritten12 Go J&O!! They'll get back to their weights.. luckily they were born at a good weight so they've got some good stores until they get back up there!
My sister (who has twins) always says that it's all they knew, just having 2 kids at once. Never had to think about the mama guilt or if bringing a sibling in would make the other jealous because that's all her kids have ever known.. it's funny to think that you've always had 2 kids and are just now experiencing your kids having new babies in their lives. I'm sure you guys are doing an awesome job, don't let the guilt drag you down! These kids are all going to have each other as they grow up, that's a great gift you've given them!

Ha! That happened here, too! I actually initiated, which is rare these days. Sadly, it was still pregnant sex, and I can't say it was zero issues. But foreplay was substantially better than it has been, so that was nice.
Congrats @izzetoot on your sweet little man! Sounds like @jensou might be next? So many perfect little babes!
I was *obsessed* with "Talk Sex with Sue." She always seemed like she was having a great time during her show, being the dirty old lady we should all aspire to be someday!
I can't seem to make myself get out of bed today. My OB appt is at 11, so maybe I'll just stay home til then. Work will understand... Probably....
@Megan324 It was raining during my NST and Endo appts yesterday. I hated it. Having to take the extra time to get McKenna in and out of her carseat didn't help either. Hope it stops before your appt is over!
Just a heads up... OB offices should be one of the first places to get priority on the flu shot.. I swear at Rite Aid we used to get it in late August, but I haven't heard if it has been released yet or not. I'm sure OB offices will let us know as soon as it's available for the possibility of getting it and passing a bit of immunity onto these little ones!
@RedMar Sent you a PM back! I'm usually mobile, so I have to pop onto my computer to get my messages. I've been trying to get on the computer several times a day with the Pick 'Em team going on so I don't miss anyone. Mobile is just so much easier for me with my LO. Wish it functioned better!
Never heard of Dr Sue but I used to be OBSESSED with Loveline, with Dr Drew I think it was? I used to stay up late to watch that on MTV even though I wasn't allowed... Scandal!
Day 1 of Jury service today! I won't be able to check in here much while this is going on obviously but I'll try to pop on at lunch (to escape) and a little bit in the evenings!
@AnnaS930 I'm going to ask about the flu shot at my appointment on Thursday then! I feel like it's come out in August here before, but I'm not seeing it advertised as being out yet. I, of course, have done no other research than that. Haha.
I'm having a hard time being motivated to do anything today. At some point DS1 and I are going to head into my classroom. Hopefully I can be somewhat productive there.
E cried a few times last night.. very strange for him. The night before he tossed and turned almost the whole night - I figured because of the heat but I had heard him cough a few times over the past few days. When I got him out of his crib this morning he was coughing and a bit of clear nose drippage. UGH! We don't need a Summer cold right now! WAAAAAAH! Although it explains him being a little less hungry and semi-whiny lately.
On the upside, I went up and took him out of his crib and rocked him for maybe 10-15 minutes last night. He was already back asleep by the time I got upstairs (his cries were only little 5-10 second cries while he searched for balnkies) but I grabbed him anyway. Felt great to just rock him for a little bit since he's not a kid who likes to be rocked to sleep.. Mr. Independent (has it's ups and downs)
Re: August Randoms!!!
@fireflygirl12 Hope things settle down and you get to go home soon!
@fireflygirl12 How's it going? Having the toddler trample this baby is a fear of mine, so... You are living one of my nightmares. Good luck, sister!
@marikkita12 - Thanks for asking.

@fireflygirl12 I hope everything continues to go well, and that you're able to get a little sleep!
Hopefully things slow down for you @fireflygirl12
DS1 -- 9/30/2016
@fireflygirl12 hope everything levels out and you get to go home soon!
@LakeR2014 I'm there with you... I also know how much crazier life is going to be once my guy DOES make his appearance, but I'm so excited!
I've been trying to wait it out but it's just getting worse
