@mamadomino I feel like I'm getting screwed on this deal, mine definitely doesn't have a scent!!!
I think its cute that my *almost* 2yo's feet sometimes stink. Is that a mom thing? I don't know why, but it's just so cute. They're so tiny and fat and they smell. Lol total mom.
I dont think my Dr's gel smells? Crap, I just went yesterday and I cant remember now. This might bug me all weekend. The only smell I can think of now is the soap and antiseptic smell of my hospital and the labor floor. Got a whiff of it Wednesday when I had to go in, and it shocked me back to DDs birth.
I used to idolize pregnant women. I thought they were SO amazing and beautiful and powerful. I was dying to become pregnant too whenever the time was right. Now that I have experienced it I'm so happy to be almost finished. It's been a beautiful, happy experience, but I have spent the last 9 months in a state of worry. Baby can come the second I hit 37 weeks!
@MrsVoorhees I love the way my 3yo stinks. Like kid sweat and dirt and sunshine over sunscreen. Her stinky feet don't bother me at all! My husband's on the other hand...
@kosmo86 I'm not getting myself too into the FB thread because I don't have it, but I recognize you right away when you post. I don't think you have anything to worry about
@geminigirl16 OMG, me too... I ended up taking off this year from teaching because of the timing of LO and the possibility of moving during the school term, and I am so nervous about getting cabin fever. I was a bit of a crazy wreck when I was unemployed and job hunting a few years ago, and even though I know it will be different with a baby in the house, I am terrified about becoming an emotional mess once DH is back at work and I'm the lone adult in the house. So far, you ladies have been my saving grace, so here's hoping that between TB and FB and whatever else we all stay connected and supportive!
Yesterday I had my growth scan followed by my 36w appt. After the doctor did the Group B swab, she checked my cervix. I was convinced it would not be dilated, but I was 1 cm. I was never dilated with my girls until the very end. The rational part of me knows it means nothing and that I can walk around like this for ever, well at least for the next 4 weeks or so. However, I'd be lying if I said it didn't give me a bit of boost. I feel like maybe all these daily BH are doing something. My symptoms have really been bringing me down lately, but hearing about that 1 cm really improved my mood.
My fffc: I am a grown ass woman and I just found myself reciting the "i before e, except after c..." rhyme in order to spell a word. Sigh. I also have to say the "30 days hath september" one to remember how many days are in a given month, as long as I'm letting this all out.
I am afraid that I will miss the social aspect of work while I am on mat leave.
So this! I really hate my job but I do like the socialization.I am an introvert and don't have a many IRL friends so I am hoping the ladies here will be enough to keep me sane
Me: 32 DH: 31
TTC #2 since January 2018
Baby #1 DD Born 8/25/2016 BFP: 8/11/18 Due: 4/26/18
So glad I am not alone in this feeling. I fear what a year at home with few IRL friends around will do to me. I think I need to start reaching out to some local mom groups / exercise groups or something so I don't go stir crazy!!
I think it's... funny... how some people just now started posting once the subject of a facebook group was seriously brought up and acted on. That's not my FFFC, just a curious observation.
My FFFC is that I work literally 2 minutes away from my grandmother's retirement home, and have for the past 1.5 years. She has no idea. And won't. Family or not, she's a nasty old bat.

Ugh...I have a to-do list a mile long today for chores around the house, but instead I'm sitting in my underwear Bumping and Pinterest-ing. At least I got all of LO's things unpacked/washed yesterday, so the week isn't a total loss!

Uh, I have to sing the "ABC" song sometimes to remember what order letters go in. I also count on my fingers. My go-to trick for remembering which months have how many days is the knuckle trick. You ball up your fist, and starting with your pointer finger, you count your knuckles and the dips between them. So pointer finger knuckle is January (31 days), dip is February (28 or 29, depending), next knuckle is March (31), etc. etc.

I do this, too, since I always feel like I'm misquoting the song. Just remember to double-tap your pinky knuckle for July and August before turning around! Both are 31-day months

I've always just moved on to my other hand instead of double-tapping my pinkie knuckle! Sticking to one hand makes more sense though, haha!

I'm writing my FINAL paper of my masters right now and totally singing the ABC song for my references!

I am also procrastinating on a mountain of chores! I had leftover cake for breakfast while watching the olympics in my pajamas instead of getting started, and now I'm just sitting in my pajamas
My FFFC: The Facebook thread makes me want to send out PMs to a bunch of really regular posters to start up my own FB group.. not for the point of excluding anyone in particular.. just because I want the Randoms thread to live on forever and I feel like those are my people... maybe I really am a mean girl, but I don't mean to be cruel in my exclusivity, I just like small mom groups versus 50-100+
@annas930 I wouldn't be opposed to that either. Especially for some of the ladies here who are concerned about privacy, that could be a good way for them to limit who sees what without being quite so limiting for the people who are "regulars" but not "randoms regulars", if that makes sense.

My FFFC: I love-tited this to increase my chances of getting an invite.
I do the knuckle thing for the days of the month as well. And also sometimes catch myself making my forefinger and thumb into an L on my left hand to reassure myself it is in fact the left one.
H got his TDAP shot a few days ago. I feel a bit justified that he is complaining about how it hurts still, when I said mine hurt days later he gave the 'really' look.
For reference, pictures of both the one- and two-handed versions!
I didn't learn that trick until well into my adulthood. But I do often (very often) repeat:
"30 days hath September, April, June, and November! All the rest have 31!"
Which isn't entirely accurate with Feb. but works well enough without the visual evidence that I can't remember which months have what days, lol.
Also... I sometimes still do addition using the dot method. No one else I talk to seems to have learned that way? But when I was in school each number had dots in different parts to help you count and the habit stuck with me.
