@Knottie1432834683 Oh man, sorry to hear about your food poisoning. But I'm glad you're feeling better. I hope you get to enjoy the rest of you trip!
My spotting goes away and then I get one dark brown case of it about once a day, usually in the evening...and then it goes away again. I try to just not move around much and walk as little as possible. My doctor said he might put me on bed rest for a few days if this doesn't go away by Thursday, but he doesn't seem too concerned. He also told me to stay super hydrated and not be out in the heat. I have a follow up ultrasound on Tuesday to check up on everything, so I'm really hoping everything will be ok and baby is doing well.

@dragonfaerie it's next Tuesday, which will make this the longest week ever! They wanted me to wait at least a full week between the last one to see if they can find a cause for the spotting. And my husband is against getting a doppler to ease my worries. He keeps telling me if the doc said not to worry, I should just try and relax. But it's so hard!

Again, it has been a while since I checked in. Summers are hard! @joyzie77 how are you doing? Did your spotting go away? @griffin5413 LOVE the 3D ultrasound! How amazing!! @tulips29 Thinking about you and praying the spotting stops! @knottie1432834683 Sorry to hear about the food poisoning! That is scary!! You were so smart to ask the doc about antibiotics in advance! @dragonfaerie How are you doing?
How is everyone doing? It seems we have slowed down a bit over here!
My niece and nephew went back home from spending the summer up here with us (2 whole months!), which means summer is coming to a close, the holidays are right around the corner and our babies are going to be in our arms! It is going to fly by!
My mom just booked the shower venue, which makes me kind of nervous, but I am really starting to finally get excited about all of this. Which scares the shit out of my, bc I feel like I am jinxing myself for my appointment tomorrow. ARGH!
I hope everyone is doing okay and that all the spotting stops!!

@vssbrm I hope you had a great summer with your niece and nephew. So exciting about your shower! I hear ya on the jinxing. I feel the same way and constantly want to wait until my next appointment to tell someone the news, or celebrate another milestone. I hope your appointment goes well and you can start feeling more excited about your shower.
My spotting went away and (knock on wood) hopefully doesn't come back. From time to time I'll think I see something darker when I wipe (sorry for the TMI)...but I'm telling myself that as long as there's no blood I'm ok. Anxiously waiting for my appointment on Tuesday to confirm all is well. We were planning to do a gender reveal this weekend, but I'm also scared thinking I'll jinx myself before my appointment. Gotta stay positive though, everything will be ok!

@vssbrm Doing well! Glad you had a good summer, and thank you for the super positive outlook!
We had our 16-week apt yesterday. It was very short, we just had a quick Doppler (140 bpm) and then chatted a bit with the doc. One thing she said really stuck with me and I wanted to share it with you all. I told her that sometimes I felt useless because I was too sick and/or tired to do anything around the house. So she said "Imagine you are getting to build your dream home. Well, while you're building it you'll probably have to live in a crappy apartment for 9 months while it's going up, right?. Right now, you are in your crappy apartment, but at the end of it, you get to take your baby home."
So let's be gentle with ourselves, ladies. We're going to get stretch marks, and acne, and gas, and feel generally like junk a lot of the time. But it's just temporary, and it has an amazing payoff.

So nice to hear from everyone. :-) I'm so excited for all of us. I totally get the jinxing part too. We're not announcing on FB until after the anatomy scan which is in a few weeks. I made the announcement already though so it's ready to go. :-)
Hi guys. I know it's early but if any of you are considering breast feeding and want a breast pump check with your insurance. They may cover the cost of one.
@vssbrm - I totally get the jinxing too. I feel that way anything I do something new -- I especially freaked out after I bought my first outfit for the baby - random purchase while walking through a department store. But after I bought it I had immediate regret like what if that just somehow jinxed me and I shouldn't be buying clothes this early (I was 14 weeks at the time). It was also that way at the gender reveal to my husband's parents (14 weeks also) -- I was miserable the entire time thinking "why am I doing this, I should be waiting..." I will say, for me it has gotten better with each more public step I take and I guess, the further along I get. I'm currently 16 weeks and this morning I was on a walk with DH when I exclaimed "I mean, I'm actually pregnant - like I think I am just beginning to accept that we are actually going to have a baby."
Like others I'm waiting to the anatomy scan for Facebook as well (for me its at 18 weeks!)
@dragonfaerie - your doc is totally right! Great advice.
Question for others in the group - I go back to my OB this week for my regular checkup (I see her every 4 weeks). So during my last appt she did the ultrasound to confirm everything looked good, so this appointment, at 16 weeks, will she do an ultrasound again? Or will this just be a checkin, some blood tests etc? DH wants to come to all the appointments (he's sweet really) but I'm thinking if its just a general discussion appointment and some blood tests he doesn't really need to go.
I'm telling my boss tomorrow too. So nervous about that one!

@vssbrm lol I had a dream last night that I gave birth but then kept forgetting I had a child. Agree on what everyone else said on 16 week appt. blood test and heartbeat and urine. I didn't get my belly measured though.
@vssbrm That is so funny!! I had some crazy birth dreams early on but none lately. In one of my dreams my baby was growing up really fast and in another my placenta looked like a cooked steak. So weird!
My 16 week apt with my midwife was Doppler and urine no belly measurement yet. I didn't know that they will measure my belly. I guess that makes sense I just hadn't thought about it!

I've been having the worst nights. I can pass out quickly at 10pm from being exhausted but then I'm up anywhere between 2am-4am and just thinking and worrying. Eventually I fall asleep but then have to be up at 6am for work. My husband is going out of town for work for a couple of weeks so I'll be able to use my body pillow. Maybe that'll make me more comfortable.
@drove2u that's also been happening to me. I didn't think my last good night sleep would be the day I was pregnant, but basically between the dreams, anxiety and peeing in the middle of the night, I haven't slept straight through since 5 weeks. I wish I had known that earlier!

@Drove2u I'm sorry you are having trouble sleeping. Are you worrying about the baby? I'm finding I'm not getting as a rested sleep as a few weeks ago. Hope it doesn't last too long for you.
@Knottie1432834683 I find that I am getting up to pee a lot more and I've been having dreams that are waking me up. I hope you get some rest soon!!!!! Maybe we are being prepared for bring moms.
@joyzie77 mostly what wakes me up is congestion. I'm not sick but I have been congested every day since July 4. So I wake up for afrin. And then I start thinking about the nursery color, how I want the baby's closet designed, how I will manage going back to work after baby, lol etc
@joyzie77 no idea yet. I haven't talked to HR. going to talk to them after anatomy scan when I feel super comfortable. We will announce on social media then too.
Anatomy scan = best thing ever. It was awesome watching him wiggle and move in there. I did not want it to end. He was being stubborn and staying in the same spot and position the whole time, no matter which way I laid etc. But, we got to see all his bits, it was amazing!

I'm so jealous you guys got yours already. I still have to wait a while for mine. I'm 20 weeks but I guess they couldn't fit me in this week. Ugh. I can't wait!! At least I get to hear the heartbeat again next Friday. :-) she's been kicking like crazy today.
Re: April/May IF success group
My spotting goes away and then I get one dark brown case of it about once a day, usually in the evening...and then it goes away again. I try to just not move around much and walk as little as possible. My doctor said he might put me on bed rest for a few days if this doesn't go away by Thursday, but he doesn't seem too concerned. He also told me to stay super hydrated and not be out in the heat. I have a follow up ultrasound on Tuesday to check up on everything, so I'm really hoping everything will be ok and baby is doing well.

@dragonfaerie How are you doing?

HSG scheduled for 1-26-16 - All clear "beautiful uterus" (though inverted)
Switched clinics and now prepping for IVF in February / March
Trying to conceive since November 2012
