Thanks for the love ladies! I've had my official breakdown (which I knew was coming due to the overabundance of emotions today) and now I'm off to try and sleep. These two are coming early tomorrow.
Baby girl failed her NST today and so we had to do a BPP, which she passed with flying colors. But for some reason, the whole thing has sent me into a funk and I can't dig my way out. Twice weekly appointments and the pressure of passing these tests that I have no control over is just wearing me down, I think. I can't quite explain how I feel to DH, so I've just been totally withdrawn. Hoping I can shake it off tomorrow...but if I could just fast forward to our scheduled c-section on 9/7 right now, I think I would.
@reesaXden She's so beautiful! I love that headband too @UnwritteN12 Best of luck tomorrow, rest up tonight if you can (which I imagine will be hard with so much excitement/nervousness/fear), and keep us updated if you can!
First, thanks for all of the kind words about Evin. We are smitten! So thankful she is healthy. Breastfeeding is a bit challenging as they said it would be with her being a 36weeker. We are improving each time. She is just a lazy sucker!
@UnwritteN12 You are in my thoughts and prayers. Best of luck tomorrow! I can't wait to see them!!!
In in regrds to the 9/11 birthday. I was actually born on 9/11 and anytime I have to give my birthdate I get such a sad look from people. It makes me feel bad that a simple question can remind most of a very tragic day. I would not choose it but of course some things are out of our control!
@RG1. My physical therapist was a life saver. Life. Saver. Make sure you go back and see her after you're 6 weeks post partum, she may be able to turn you into a different woman.
My (TMI) random today: after all the moms talking contractions and seeing our first babies being born, I realized we're getting super close and so attempted some deforestation as to be honest it hadn't been attended to in months. I clearly could not see what I was doing and have no idea if the hatchet job I did looks ok, but at least it doesn't look like the amazon anymore? I was proud of myself for accomplishing that this morning. Sidenote: to all those ladies who go Brazilian I envy you. If I had the nerve I'd totally be all about it, especially now.
Second random: While saying goodbye to DH this morning, I said I envy my snoogle for how much he was cuddling it (I swear the minute I get out of bed, DH turns and claims it as his, any other DHs do this?) His response: 'I envy your ability to not sleep.' Uh, say what? 'I envy your ability to not sleep.' Apparently I make functioning on pregsomnia look easy and he wants that so he can study more for his upcoming tests. Yay for the compliment, I guess, but he can have the pregsomnia, because functioning with it is HARD!
@LakeR2014 My DH has been using my old Snoogle from my pregnancy with McKenna every night since I've had the new Snoogle... so about the last 19 weeks.
@UnwritteN12 HAPPY Baby Day!! Twins! Eeeeeeee!!!! Thinking of you and hoping everything goes well today, can't wait to see pictures of these two little loves!
@unwritten12 thinking of you! Very excited for your family
@RN1stBae Thank you - getting pregnant was a nightmare. Usually after sex I have to "pat dry" for a couple days instead of wiping after the bathroom because it is raw and hurts, so doing it every day for a week was so painful. My poor hubby
@jbscmama I'm glad you got entertainment from my story. I was like "hmmm should I post this? It's so weird" lol
@Sporty1216 sorry about all the appointments and stress like you said, you have no control over whether you pass or fail, so that's really difficult. I'm sorry you're in a funk. I wish you could fast forward time!
@KimmySchmidt Yes I'm hoping to keep going back to her. She is amazing. And if she could fix this pain, id be forever grateful.
@LakeR2014 DH already asked me if he could have the snoogle after the baby comes. He uses it every chance he gets
Last night I put on a breath right strip because DH said I've been snoring. Well, that damn thing worked wonders. I don't think I even woke up last night. Who would think a band aid over my nose could do me a world of good?
Backstory: My dog is deathly afraid of thunder/fireworks to the point where someone pulls in a trashcan or a car backfires 10 blocks away and he goes running back inside tail between his legs.
Last night I was outside with both dogs and I have been SUPER gassy. Apparently my farts sound like fireworks and it sent the dog running inside scared for it's life.

Not that I want baby to come early but after finally making sense of my company's maternity leave policy, if baby could come Labor Day weekend, Friday night to Sunday, that would be great. (I'll be 38 weeks which is what I was when Reese was born happy and healthy.) It would give me a holiday to use towards the elimination period of my STD and that's eight more hours of PTO I can use when STD runs out. Ugh, stupid crappy maternity leave.
@diagonalley McKenna had her first dentist appointment today as well! I popped in just to rave about how well she did. I actually teared up at how big and brave she seemed through it all. She hates having her mouth messed with so I wasn't expecting much. She pleasantly surprised me. Hope you have a good go of it, too!
@PSUBecky23 I hear ya. My husband doesn't get any PTO or paternal leave of any kind. I'm hoping this baby comes on a Thursday or Friday so we can utilize the weekend more. A Monday or Tuesday would stink.

@diagonalley I too dreaded the dentist but thankfully due to the pregnancy they didn't use the evil ultrasonic drill during my cleaning.
The appointment is for DS. It's his first time. He's had a rough go with doctors the past year so I'm hoping it's not too traumatizing for either of us. He almost always does better than I expect.
Sprinted* for the train, causing me to sweat profusely. Then I realized I forgot to put deodorant on this morning. Sorry everyone else on the train!! Emergency stop at CVS is in order so I don't stink out my office.
*sprinting is a term used very loosely these days.. It's more like a speed waddle
Anxiously awaiting our first twin baby pics @UnwritteN12!
@kosmo86, I feel your pain. I've been unbelievably gassy and during a patient's delivery I absolutely let my team nurse think it was our patient and not me. I have zero control at this point.
Many random is that I'm headed to my 38 week appt this am and am really really keeping fx that I've made change from last week. I kept waking up with real contractions last night it nothing consistent. It's amazing, I've had BH for weeks and then when the real ones come I'm all like, "oh yeah, THAT'S what it feels like!" You forget how much stronger the real thing is.

My rambunctious, independent, non-rule follower three year old has gone twice and done awesome. It helped that the hygienist was awesome and explained everything she was doing. Good luck!

This reminded me that I had a horrible calf cramp in my leg last night. Could not move - screaming/crying - DH make it go away type of leg cramp. It seriously left me with the worry that I'll be a screaming banshee during contractions/labor if I can't handle a leg cramp. To be fair it was one of the worst, if not the worst one i've had, but at the same time, it left me in fear of how i'll handle contractions. :-/
