@gatorlorit Sucks to have that BFN. Personally I'd rather have a number than none at all. At least you know it took just didn't stick vs absolutely nothing at all.

DH reminded me to be the strong person he married and we will keep pushing through. He'll work all the doubles he needs to to get this to work. He's ready for another transfer ASAP but idk how well my emotions can keep going. I just wish there was a way they could tell me why it didn't work again.

@thucks Did they give any insight as to what might be going on? I hope y'all find answers soon and are successful! IF is so emotionally draining, not to mention the physical aspect. Sounds like your DH is very supportive! You are very lucky!

So my Dr called, but i missed the stupid call! Really nervous because instead of it being a nurse like every other time, it was the actual dr, who just said to call back. ARRGGHH!! Is it better or worse when it's the actual dr?

And fully negative. It's ok though. There's always next time. Birth control for 4 weeks, back on Lupron, then another FET. Congrats @babylonghorn16 and everyone else!

What is everyone's protocol for an FET? just curious.... my last 2 FET were a round of BCP once AF starts after BFN when my FET is scheduled I'm given a day to come off the BCP. Then I start Estrace 2x a day increase to 3x a day 6 days before FET. 7 days before I have an HCG trigger shot and when I increase the Estrace I add the 1ml PIO for 10 days only, then switch to Prometrium (Vaginal) 200 mg 2x a day. Continue the Estrace and Prometrium until Beta.

Hi everyone - I haven't posted to this board yet but I have been following everyone's progress - I've debated whether to post or not, it's hard sometimes to see other people's positive results and not feel down but I have been following this board since the end of July and I love reading everyone's posts and following along on the journey. I was part of the IVF board back in April that lead to a BFN. We took a month off and then we had a FET on 7/29. My beta testing is tomorrow.

@babylonghorn16 congrats on your beta! I remember you from when I was on the previous April IVF and its wonderful to see you finally get that BFP!

@thucks I am so sorry for your negative. My FET protocol was BCP until a specified date. Lupron shots for about 21 days with Estrace 1x day, baby asprin, and minivelle dot patches. I would range from 1-4 patches until the Transfer date. Then I have 2 patches on and switch them every 3 days. I started PIO shots the week before my transfer and I take then every other day. I also take the Crinone inserts (progesterone inserts). I do those once AM and once PM.

@MsOhanaJ and @gatorlorit I am so sorry about the BFN.

I love seeing all of the positivity on this board - seeing all of the the BFP's make me so happy - and will keep my fingers crossed for everyone else that has a beta coming up.

@babylonghorn16 I am feeling good - I had a nice busy TWW and felt great the entire time - I had acupuncture so I think that was a huge contributor to my great mood. I've had crazy vivid dreams every night for the last week - my most recent one was that I took a pregnancy test before I went to bed and it was positive and I was running up the stairs to tell my DH and then I woke up and I had a moment where I completely thought that it was real. I was super tempted to run and grab a HPT but resisted the urge and instead bought everything in sight at Target. Right now I am just counting down the hours to get out of work - was not super productive today so I imagine that I will be even worse tomorrow!

@mrshegs glad you're feeling good!! My dreams have been crazy as well. Last night I had a dream I got a BFN. It was SO real. I woke up feeling pretty defeated, but then realized there was still hope lol! Proud of you for resisting to POAS! I know it's not easy, but it's much less stressful to have a certain answer and a quantitative number assigned! I have been the WORST employee ever today. There's no way anyone gets work done on beta day (or the day before

@gatorlorit - that is so disappointing, but maybe the genetic testing will shed some light? And I do hope you are that one special case where things turn around.

I took a test to see if the Ovidrel trigger shot was out of my system and it came back negative.

Ive had very real dreams the last 2 nights. 1st one I took a dollar store pt and it was positive and then I woke up. Then in my second dream I took a clear blue digital pt and it was positive and then I woke up. Really don't like the 2ww but I'll make it through. Wonder what tonight's dreams will bring.

@marlyhc thanks for checking in! I am on vacation so had to go to a random labcorp this morning for my third beta. I hope they do same day results, or at least by tomorrow. Good luck tomorrow! I've had on and off cramping since my transfer so hopefully it's a good sign for you!

@thucks my FET protocol didn't involve BCPs at all. Once AF came, I went in for b/w and baseline to make sure all was normal. Then I started 10ml of Lupron for 2 weeks. Started 2 2mg pills of estrace w/ the Lupron for 1 week and then 2 weeks before transfer, I increased the estrace to 3 oral pills and added one pill vaginally (my lining wasn't responding well enough to oral pills, unfortunately). 5 days before transfer I stopped Lupron and started PIO injections, medrol, and doxycycline while continuing the estrace. Took all medrol and doxy until they ran out and have been continuing w/ PIO and estrace ever since. Will continue until 10 weeks. I know that's a lot of info!

I've heard a lot of women take trigger shots before FET... my RE didn't prescribe to me though! I hope this helps.

@mrshegs and @babylonghorn16 Thanks for your FET protocol info. I was just curious how different things were for everyone.
I called and got a follow up apt with Dr. J. next week unfortunately the only apt available was while DH is at work so FX I can remember everything I wanted to talk about.

I sell Origami Owl and we have a big fall release today so I have been trying to dive my head in all that for a distraction. I think I'm past my melt down points. I gotta suck it up and focus on the next round. It's worked before it just has to work again.

Hey ladies. I am trying to survive the TWW. I am so excited to see all the BFPs this month. My beta is 8/19 and it can't come soon enough. I posted this on the August IUI thread but DH told me he'd be "disappointed" if I tested at home. I guess that will keep me from POAS!

@MarlyHC I had my second beta draw this morning. I'm thinking it'll be at least another 5 hours before I get a call back. They like to call between 2 and 4 on weekdays, which sucks! I'm glad my first beta was on a weekend so I didn't have to wait in agony so long!

Thanks @babylonghorn16! I sure am hoping it's at least 840! How curious that your second beta is on Thursday and not 2 days after your first!

AFM - Had my second beta this morning. Should get the results in a few hours. On a sadish note, thanks to infertility and loss over the past 2.5 years, I can't be one of those people who is just excited and thinks why would anything go wrong. I can only think why would anything go right, since nothing over the past 2.5 years has given me a baby. I do hope this is finally my time, but I won't be surprised if it isn't.

@AandDM2014 - hoping for a nice doubling in your second beta today...and I know what you mean, I keep telling people we are "cautiously optimistic" because there have been so many disappointments, but hopefully soon we will both get to points where cautiously can be replaced with pure optimism and joy. And we will appreciate these babies even more for all the hardship.
My fingers and toes are crossed for you - and all of us!!

Second beta came back at 976, but my progesterone dropped from 27 to 18. I'm increasing my dosage to 2mL daily and going back on Sunday for another test. I hate how this process can't just be easy or joyous.
