I just got some really scary medical news about my mom.. She's having a procedure done tomorrow and we will know more by the end of the week but I am just a mess. I don't even know how to process this news.

They had sent me one a couple days earlier that just said Hi and my name, but I thought it would be spam, or someone who needed real estate stuff. What the heck? Why? What is my reaction supposed up be? Who gets their jollies sending out pictures of their dick to strangers? It is bugging me. Looking up the number it sounds like this person does it a lot from that number. If I report it, how do I do that? Sounds like an embarrassing conversation to have with the police?

Try imputing the number into Spydialer. It will tell you the name of the person the number is associated with and there's also an option to hear their voicemail greeting.

Since starting the TTC process and now being pregnant I've realized how insensitive people are on such a personal subject. I'm excited to finally tell work people next week because it's bee so awkward lately with people asking when we're having kids. I'm always torn between shouting out in February! or None of your business that's when!
Saturday at a wedding we were talking to people at our table who we'd just met and they asked if we had kids and we're just like not yet and they asked us why we didn't... Then yesterday a coworker was like I'll give you some advice you want to have kids sooner rather than later... Like in both cases what if we'd been trying for a long time and had been unsuccessful? What if one or both of us just couldn't have kids? There's so many very personal reasons and for some reason people, even people you just meet, feel like they need to be in the know...

Was just standing outside my VP's office and totally caught him looking at my belly region as he left for a meeting... The shirt I'm wearing looks maternity-esque even w/o a bump; so, maybe I shouldn't be surprised. (and, no, I haven't told anyone at work yet)

I know in this case nobody from work was told yet, but how weird is it that once people know, their eyes are like a magnet to your belly everytime they see you. When I see people that know, I just expect them to glance at the belly. It makes me feel awkward, it's almost like men looking at your cleavage, but instead everyone looking at your belly lol.

But then he whispers in my ear "you are so beautiful, I love your legs"....creepy). He's foreign and I honestly don't think he realizes how creepy he's being, but anyway, with all that said I do not plan on ever telling him I'm pregnant. But I can tell he's starting to wonder and it's really funny to me, he just stares at my belly and asks "Anything new? How are you?" I'm wondering at what point he'll just pint blank ask me,
My random is that my weekend was absolute hell. Our A/C went out Friday, couldn't get it fixed until Saturday (and it was the hottest weekend of the year so far). Then I got the news the my little Brother's best friend died over the weekend while they were swimming at the river, drowned right in front of my brother. It was awful, I can't even imagine what he must be going through, it breaks me heart. Then I had my doc appointment on Monday and they hand me a contract saying I need to pay my deductible in full BEFORE the delivery...that's $350/month....uhm...no? Pretty sure I got that handled (we will not be paying before the delivery), but damn, wtf? Since when is that a thing?

@kswiger06 I don't know where that picture went! It's in my phone somewhere. It's one of my favorite pictures of my dog. She looks completely insane. But my wedding bouquet is pretty, no?
@scifichick09 how did you get out of paying it? Mine is charging $2500 due by November. She tried to explain to me that we "may have some of it refunded" depending on insurance. But I'm thoroughly confused and we didn't think we had the option to just not pay it. The paper said that failure to pay could cause me to lose my OB
@scifichick09 I'm so sorry about your brother's friend. That is just awful!! How old is your brother? He may need counseling.
About the deductible. They can't make you pay up front. Not only that but how do they know that the deductible will be applied to THEIR office visits? I'm sure you're getting blood work and maybe getting some prescriptions from the pharmacy. Those charges would go towards your deductible even before your delivery. I'm glad you stood up to them!!
