I gave in and poured myself about 2 ounces of my husband's amazing homemade cold-brewed coffee yesterday. It was so good. So much better than I had anticipated. So I poured myself another two ounces today.
Random Rant: My high risk doctor had me fill out 5 pages of new patient paperwork. I was here in January. Evidently I can't write 'no changes', even though literally nothing has changed. X_X
I'm usually so good about staying on top of my calendar and to do list.
Right now I am so far behind on my to-do list, I totally missed an 8am meeting this morning, and I'm totally unprepared to bring an app for a 6:00 meeting after work. I feel so disorganized and all over the place.
** December BMB Siggy Challenge - Animals in Pools **
Me: 31+ H: 32 TTC Since 11/2015 #1 - MMC 6.5 weeks (2/16); #2 - MC due to cystic hygroma at 20 weeks (10/16); #3 CP (2/17); #4 - Due 12.16.17
These pregnancy dreams are getting crazy. I'm pretty sure I've slept with every single one of my favorite athletes just in this week. Sleep me is kinda slutty, but I like it!
Pre-planning starts tomorrow and I think I'm dreading going back to school more than the students! I've done practically nothing to prep over the summer.
Taking away the paci from dd has been hell. It takes her over two hours to fall asleep and yesterday she cut her nap. Last night I turned the monitor off and went to bed.
My two year old has been an absolute BEAST the last three days. Whiny, cranky, clingy, whiny, annoying, whiny..... I don't like him right now, it's all driving me CRAZY!
That moment when your SO locks the bathroom during his shower because your brother and his GF are staying with you and they might wander in (oh noes!). Completely forgetting your toddler, who of course needs to use the potty RIGHT THEN.
...so you hold her over the kitchen sink. SNS.
Also, I am refusing to call DD a preschooler (she turned 3 last Wed). She will probably be a toddler until kindergarten. At least.
Randoms... I'm thinking about a career change. I need to work P/T when this child arives as daycare costs will make my current position unrealistic. I'm actually exploring Real Estate Agent. It would be quite a change, but I'm social and it's flexible. I wouldn't make what I make now probably but I think it is worth looking into.
PS I hate sneezing... My bladder is quite unhappy with it. And I'm fairly scared of what will happen as this baby grows.
My 15month old has started potty training yay!!! Almost every morning she takes her morning poops in the potty seat if I can time it right. Yesterday she was shifting in the seat and smeared it, ewwwwhhh not good for my nausea.
@LaurenAshley04 When my son turned a year old, I decided to go back to work but in a new field so I could swing part time. I worked as a luxury apartment leasing consultant and even part time I made a good amount of money. The only part I hated was working on Saturdays. That may be an option to look into? Real estate is great too, but I've heard there is such a saturated market that sometimes it's more difficult to break into.
On another note, I got some sort of allergy/sinus cold over the weekend. I feel like the most useless mother ever. H has been doing everything including studying for his finals, and now as I'm on the upswing he's getting sick
I'm irritated this morning. A family member who lives 45 mins away asked if my H could borrow his Dads truck to get furniture for her. He would have to drive 20 to get the truck, 20 in the other direction, then about 45 back to her. Then 45mins home IF traffic is good, not even including returning the borrowed truck which is 20 mins from us. And move all the shit himself. I'm so sick of this person only contacting us when they need shit. Not to mention we gave this person a ton of furniture for their last apt, moved it all for them, and they just fucking left it there. So, no. He won't be able to help.
@Gingersnap That's too nervy. I am sure she can find a nice rental that can move furniture for her.
@peachesnbean I know what you mean. It makes me so sentimental and teary when I think of how fast they grow. My oldest is a quite a bit older but it didn't get much easier.
@Gingersnap you gave this person a ton of furniture, they left it behind like it was nothing, then asked your H to spend his whole day moving other furniture to replace it? That's beyond ballsy. This person sounds like a dick sandwich.
My random is really just a complaint. My husband's schedule just changed, and he works 9am to 8pm. Which means he'll be doing zero parenting on those days. So in addition to trying to carve out time to work from home, I get to grow a human and raise another one all alone.
Yeah, ridiculous. Not to mention all the money they "borrow". Just because I'm the only one doing well, doesn't mean I am obligated to fill every outstretched hand....
We went to the park yesterday and let DD ride her bike there. She hasn't quite figured out the concept of braking when getting ready to cross the street, look for cars, etc. So I always remind her and she always has trouble. Well, this time I stopped her right as she got to the street, stood in front of her bike, pushed her back up the slightly elevated driveway we were on to make her try to brake again (so she can get used to it & learn). I let her go, told her to brake, but stood in front so she wouldn't go in the road. She couldn't brake and kept on saying "Oh my, oh my, oh my" in higher pitches. DH & I were just dying laughing. It was super cute.
Random part of my random story, there was an akita out with it's owner yesterday on a long lead. Somehow the dog got off the lead and went to attack another dog kind of close to us. I couldn't see what happened because I didn't have my contacts in, but I could sure hear it. It was really sad. I wanted to go back and check on everyone to make sure they were ok, but not with DD there so we kept walking. I really hope everyone was ok though.

I just got some really scary medical news about my mom.. She's having a procedure done tomorrow and we will know more by the end of the week but I am just a mess. I don't even know how to process this news.

I hate that. I swear whenever one person in a household gets better, another person gets it! It sucks.

I hope you will be able to get rest and not get over stressed. My mom was battling breast cancer while I was pregnant with my first, it was quite exhausting. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Wishing all goes well with your mom's procedure tomorrow.
@fourPsinapod I hope your mom pulls through. I'll be sending my prayers your way. I know it's super hard right now but try not to stress too much. Mental stress is hard to control. But at least make sure to eat and drink on time. Xoxo

I'm so sorry you are going through this. Sending you and your mom lots of thoughts and prayers. hopefully whatever it is they can catch it early and treat it. I'm also sending lots of positive vibes your way!!

I'm so sorry @fourpsinapod. Thinking good thoughts that your mom will be ok. Mine had surgery back in March and I was a total wreck about it, I know it's so tough.
One of the cats was hacking up something special for us and my husband stepped in a fresh hairball at 5:45 this morning. I laughed so hard I peed a tish. Maybe more than a tish..
@fourPsinapod and @NiceyMeany, thinking of you both. I've been there recently and know how upending it can be. @fourPsinapod, I hope all goes well with her procedure tomorrow.
kirstynikole That sounds like our household. I've had this weird sickness going on three weeks and my husband finally caught it this weekend.
@fourPsinapod I am so sorry to hear about your mom. My father in law has been battling stage four cancer, so I will include you guys in our prayers. It's so hard when you are so close to your parent.
We have two sleeping beauties in heaven. Jack gained his wings on 09/02/2016. Kali gained her wings on 07/28/2015. They will be forever missed.
