@AshleySparkle720 Yikes! That sucks! I feel you though! We were supposed to close this week, but our sellers are getting a divorce and have nowhere to go until the 16th, so we decided to close at a later date. Unfortunately, that means my son and I have to stay with my parents while hubby is back in our old town, and I get to drive an hour and half each way between my parents', daycare and work.
I don't know if this is nationwide, but my local Target had a ton of cute baby clothes on clearance yesterday. I got 5 onesies and 4 sleepers for a little over $20.
@cjs260 I was there yesterday too and also managed to score some burp cloths and baby socks. Our local BRU had an additional 50% off clearance clothing, shoes and accessories as well so I found a few little things for baby. It's mostly summer clothes and I have no idea what size to get for summer but still some cute stuff!
So a few weeks ago DD and I were at Target and I had her strapped into the cart, but somehow when I was loading things onto the belt at checkout she turned herself around and got her foot really stuck in the seat slats. Getting her out was awful. She was screaming and clawing at me because she was scared and stuck but I had to try to hold her still so I could get her out without hurting her too badly. All while people just casually walked by me and gave me dirty looks in the parking lot. And then today we were at the grocery store and I tightened the belt even more so she couldn't turn or stand up and SOMEHOW she stood completely up in the seat and lunged for me. I was right there and caught her but as I was getting her to sit back down she got her dang foot stuck again! I wish she'd quit it before I have a heart attack. (Then I got a lecture from the checker about cart safety, which thank you so very much sir, I had no idea I had to buckle her in, can you not see that the buckle is still around her?!) I think I'm gonna have to break out the cart cover I used when she was little and the straps in the carts were too big for her.
@katesmama0706 I have to put my 19 month old down in the main part of the basket for this reason. No matter how tight the buckle is he can get out of it and stand up.
@ladysaceb I tried that while I was grocery shopping the time before this and she totally took that as an invitation to start trying to open as much food as she could and it made me so nuts! I think I spent more time taking things away from her and putting them somewhere else in the cart than actually shopping. Darn toddlers.
So we used donor sperm and I'm in a couple of "support" groups for our bank- another couple used our donor and just did a FET and got their BFP!! I'm so happy for them I can't stand it!!! Our babies will have siblings!!
Guys, forgive me I'm still playing catch-up on all these threads since this whole world is still so new to me, but I just started Stranger Things today on my lunch (husband watched it without me JERK) and it is so good!!

That's so awesome! I'm very uninformed about how all of that works, so I'm not sure if this would typically be done, but will your babies have the opportunity to meet and have a relationship with their sibling(s)?

They will! This is 100% up to the parents but H and I discussed it before we bought our vial, and we discussed it with the other couple immediately too. The suggested communication with donor babies is to "tell early and tell often" so having donor sibs a part of their life early helps normalize the situation. They'll be pen pals and meet.
Also it's incredibly helpful for the parents in case your kid gets sick and you're missing half of their genetic material- you can always tap in to the sibling network for help. We were going to store cord blood for our baby but now that we have a pair of perfect genetic matches in the twins it's less necessary.
@tinabelcher That is SO cool! Does the other couple live nearby? That'd be really cool if your kids ended up being BFFs with their siblings (that sounds so weird to type but for real!)
I just found out our local library only does storytime while kids are out for the summer? Um why does toddler story time have anything to do with older kids being in school and wtf am I supposed to do with my toddler for the rest of the year? We have no little gym, no mommy and me places, no Gymboree, and now no storytime? WTF.
@Teach123 our church has a sharing and caring type thing. If anyone wants to share anything there is time set aside during the service for it. There can be some very great things that come out of it too. I have had conversations with my kids on subjects that come up. Great teaching moments and also the congregation gets to celebrate and help you through the hard times respectively.

I have my MLIS in children's and youth services... that's pathetic that your library would do things that way. There's no reason why story time should affect the budget unless the children's librarian is only hired for the summer, which I doubt. Also the main clientele of public libraries are children under 5 and retirees... your librarians need to straighten out their priorities!
@karaelaine1991 preach. I'm so bugged. I angrily wrote an email to city council today (Theyre in charge over there) and if I don't hear back my Monday I plan on calling and raising a holy fit. Come on people.
Way late to the random party! Sorry, I can't keep up with all the posts. It's my busy season at work now so I've been going 100 mph constantly. Man, it's going to be interesting seeing how I handle this with a LO next year. I hope I can still be included in the FB group once that's formed. I feel like it's hard to be super interactive with a lot of posts since this whole pregnancy / mom world is still so new to me. 1) what is the stranger things show you ladies are talking about? 2) need to finish second half of OITNB so I can apparently cry my eyes out like everyone else... so intrigued! 3) I kind of like hearing about all the weird/gross things that may happen during labor so I can be even a tiny bit prepared and not have a total freak out if it happens to me. I don't have many friends/family with babies, so I haven't heard much at this point. 4) I like watching bachelorette (although not a fan of Jordan) & I read the reality Steve spoilers which makes it SO much more interesting because it provides the inside scoop/real perspective of what's actually going on vs abc's fantasy land. 5) how is everyone handling the body comments as pregnancy progresses? I feel like it's kind of awkward that people are constantly looking at my body, assessing & commenting. So not normal. I know people mean well... it's just strange to me and I just say thanks or something like that. ETA - ignore this Q - just saw the separate board on this topic.
Going to try to post more going forward. Sorry for the long post. So thankful for you ladies and never ending knowledge and support!
@kelseyh62 Stranger Things is a Netflix original. Science fiction, suspense, and plenty of 80s nostalgia. Winona Ryder plays the part of the mother of a missing child to perfection.
I bought a pair of maternity workout leggings from Target and I am obsessed. They are so comfortable. Unfortunately, they only had one pair in my size. I can't wait to go back and buy more. I want to wear these all day everyday, even when not exercising.
Definitely check them out, @cjs260! The brand is Be Maternity by Ingrid and Isabel. They had some tops too. I still have some leggings that fit that are non-maternity, but they were cutting into me in the wrong places and making me feel self-conscious. I find these to actually be flattering, if you can believe that!
@kashock I got a decent haul from them the other day when they had a big sale. My only complaint is that one of the pairs of jeans I bought that weren't a boot cut/skinny leg are too long on me. I'm going to go in store and see if there are short or petite length. It's a shame because I otherwise loved the jeans and the fit. I guess I could always hem these, but I don't know if I feel like doing that.
I got a couple pairs of maternity leggings and some black maternity pants from Gap. They're all super soft and comfy. My friend tried on the black pants and they look great on a not pregnant lady, so I'm excited I can wear them in the future too. I used an online coupon and got 35% off.
@kelseyh62 I love the Bachelor/Bachelorette/Bachelor in Paradise everything! I always look everything up on Reality Steve before hand too, makes it so much more entertaining. Don't feel bad for not always keeping up! I'm on almost every day and can't always keep up. My busy season at work is starting next week so I know how you feel. Don't worry too much about how you'll cope next year, you'll be able to figure it all out and make it work!
@kelseyh62 and @ashanne88, count me as another Bachelor junkie. Lucky for me, my DH will watch it with me too. I was so annoyed this week when my boss and some other men in the office were saying how they didn't think JoJo was pretty. WHHHAAAATTTT? I guess I must be a dog then... So annoying. I'll have to check out Reality Steve!

Oh I love those. I leant mine out to a friend and she hasn't returned them yet. She's still "looking" for them. She better find them because they are the best thing ever.
Tonight will be our first childless night in almost 22 months! We live within 20 minutes of both grandparents but I've never wanted to leave DD overnight before. Now that she's fully weaned and sleeping through the night, I'm ready. I'm nervous and I know I'll be checking in on her too much, but DH and I will get to sleep in and that is a big deal!
I had a dream last night that my husband cheated on me and told me about it. When I confronted him in dream he said, "Well, we're already pregnant so what's the point of sex? Why can't I have sex with her now?" I've been mad at dream husband all day.
Have so much fun! @underthesea DH and I had our first one last year before DS2 was born. It was awesome except I was so mad at my internal body alarm clock that still made me get up at 7.
