I understand completely @AmMcc12 it is pretty annoying. I sometimes wake up with a numb leg and I don't sleep on my back. Just gotta change positions and it stops! It was worse earlier in pregnancy for me. Usually happened while cooking or standing in the kitchen. Guess I'm not the only one!
@RedMar if you remember, let me know what they say I also have an appt Monday but I know when I asked my midwife will just say Don't listen to that crazy lady
Thanks, guys! Called the doc and he said to go in so they can at least monitor baby so we're going. I know everything is fine but it is best to be safe.
@seitzy3 my DS1 had the hiccups every day multiple times and I never had any issues with him after he was born (I assume they would mention a cord issue at the time?) and his little brother is following suit. Hiccups for dayzzz here. FFTC: it's my least fav type of baby movement... Like a torture method haha.
@AlwaysAuntNeverMom call My doc raked me over the coals for not going in after my headache on Friday evening. ETA, just saw your update.
@AmMcc12 my hands go numb on the regular while i'm sleeping and have my arms behind my head. So annoying.
Wife to A; Mama to C (2009), N (2011), H (2014) & baby F due 09/16/16
@Megan324 Strawberry italian ice and custard on top with graham crackers, caramel syrup, and condensed milk. I'm debating a second one tomorrow afternoon..........
Everything good with baby girl and now back home she was lazy on the monitor so they had to wake her up to get some accelerations but everything was perfect after that. No high BP so now I just get to count kicks every day.
First, thank you everyone for your good thoughts for DS. According to my husband, DS did pretty well at the tryout and I'm sure that everyone's glad that I didn't go all "crazy pregnant mom" and just stayed home.
@frogdog06, cruel. Just cruel to post that pic. It looks amazing!!!
@AlwaysAuntNeverMom, glad that everything looked good with baby. Hope she's not using up all of her good sleeping in utero.
I've been trying to keep up with the big stuff on this thread, but it's been a busy week for me.
My husband took our girls on vacation with his family this week. It was a 7.5-8 hr drive, so I opted to stay home after talking it over with my OB.
I can't believe I'm admitting this, but Sunday I was kind of lost without them. An entire house to myself has been my dream lately but all of the sudden, I got really upset about being alone. Don't worry, it was short lived. I've caught up on a bunch of things around the house that I've been putting off, took care of errands that I don't want to do with the girls, started getting serious about my hospital bag especially after reading these posts and started sorting through clothes for baby #3. I feel like I've been going non-stop. Even though I'm tired, I feel accomplished.
This afternoon I started to do a few things for myself. Got a pedicure and saw Bad Moms with my sister and mom. Tomorrow I'm going to head downtown and meet my friends for mocktails at a rooftop bar and then out to dinner. I will say, it's so nice being able to pick up and go whenever I want. I promise that I will savor this last couple days alone!
I feel like I had an almost perfect day today, and it was glorious. I've been kind of stir crazy the last couple of days while DH has worked, did a fair chunk of studying for my nursing boards, but still feeling restless. Today I cleaned out my car for the first time in ages, vacuumed it, washed it. Got home from housesitting and tidied the house, and just got back from a very long, awesome, fun filled dinner with a lot of my nursing workmates and had a blast. Of course now I'm exhausted and today's studying is not getting done, but whatev's. I enjoyed myself. Which was a lot easier to do without the catnapping saga next door going on!
Noticed a little bit of blood on the TP when I went to the bathroom. Not overly concerned since it was such a small amount, but guess I'll call my OB in the morning.
@AlwaysAuntNeverMom I'm so glad you went in, and that you got great news! Good stuff all around.
@LizC216 that sounds like a great afternoon just for you!! A lot of ladies on here have been talking about being clinger with DH recently, so you're not alone!
@yellowrose314 sometimes you just gotta let the studying go for a day! Especially with all the drama you've been going through. Glad you could enjoy!
Yesterday was moving day, which actually went well! It was exhausting, but I made sure to take lots of breaks and it feels so good to finally be in a place we can call ours!!
But the main reason for my post is this: we got our new (king!) mattress delivered, new sheets, And I got a snoogle, and I actually slept without being awake from hip pain all night!! Woke up in the same position I went to sleep in. Hello, new world!
@AlwaysAuntNeverMom so glad to hear you went to get checked out and that all is good with LO!
@fireflygirl12 keep us posted. Hope it's nothing major. I had a little scare like that a few weeks ago so I know it's freaky. Good luck!
@SLou24 congrats again on the new place - I can't imagine moving at this point in pregnancy! But how exciting. And yay for the Snoogle and new mattress! Glad to hear they helped your sleep.
God, @SLou24 I'm so jealous at this moment. I got like three hours of sleep last night. I would give my fort born (at 7 am) to anyone for a king sized bed and snoogle.
@AlwaysAuntNeverMom Glad all is well! Hope you get some relief from the headache soon.
@SLou24 That sounds glorious. I'm pretty sure my mattress is what is killing my hips so bad. A new king sized bed would be amazing. Hope your sleep continues to be good with it!
@SLou24 I also do not envy you moving at this point but I'm happy you get to move before ba y is here
My random for the morning - I have 12 work days left until I go on leave and that is counting today... 12!!! I fully plan on taking 26 hours worth of personal time during these 12 days too since I'll loose them if I don't take them now (they don't carry over to the new year and I'm set to come back on 1/2).
@rock1cherry@Shiva14 Thanks! But you are right -- moving at this point is certainly not ideal. I'm just so thankful that I can finally start to set up the nursery... although right now it looks like it was hit by a tornado. Lots of work to do!
@KimmySchmidt I hear ya! I think the king bed is my new lifeline. My hips were starting to keep me up all night on our old mattress. I hope you can get some better sleep tonight!!
@Shiva14 That is SO exciting!! Gosh, it seems like so many ladies on this board are done with work and/or having these babies so soon, how did it already get to be this time?!
@SLou24 omg I'm so jealous that you can get a good night's sleep. I seriously get up to pee at least 3x
@everyone- it may be a good idea to start up individualized threads, just because shits going to start getting (even more) real for us September mommas!
Morning everyone! Wednesdays are my day off and I never find time to bump. No huge updates here, had my 35 week appointment and am measuring "on the large side of normal" which I have been since they started fundal heights, all good - Bubbleguppies on a tablet kept E entertained during my appointment and we visited my sister and her kids for the afternoon. I had a ginormous ice cream in the afternoon. YES!
I'm all for keeping monthly randoms but more individual posts. I'm all for keeping the tagged birth announcement and letting people post full stories if they care to.. I'm going to be completely honest in that I like birth stories leading up to my own, but other than the regulars - I probably won't read every random birth story but will absolutely check the announcement thread regularly. I'm really not a huge birth story person once i've had my own - I like to see a pic and the basic details - how far along, size of baby, all doing well, etc.
@AlwaysAuntNeverMom So glad that everything looked good with baby! Sometimes going in for what seems like nothing is worth it just for the piece of mind.
@SLou24 I definitely don't envy moving right now, but I am totally jealous of the king size bed. And Snoogles are the shit.
Caught up on the randoms since noon yesterday - there were four pages to go through! So crazy but love that we're all getting excited (and exhausted) to see our new ones soon. Glad to hear all is well with @AlwaysAuntNeverMom and to @yellowrose314 hope your neighbors are evicted at a high velocity, although I do feel bad for the woman and her father. It cannot be easy.
My random is that I'm super jealous of @SLou24 and all her sleep last night. My dad just got home from the hospital on Tuesday after passing out/falling due to his chemo. So right now we're on rotating shifts at his house to ensure he's never alone. Last night was my shift, and as outside of my parents bedroom the only place in their house with AC is the family room, I spent last night on their very hard couch. I was glad I was there and thankfully all went well and he had a great night, but I ache in new places today and probably got 3 hours of sleep in total. I'm a walking preg-bie. Bright side? Tonight is our second birthing class - so excited!
@thetamedshrew I'm not sure it matters whether "we're" ok with it or not. They're going to do what they want to do. You can choose to read and love tit as you like. I agree that likely the more regular posters are going to keep getting bumped. And if people link their birth story in the main thread it should be easy to find those that you want to read.
I'm feeling oddly emotional and grateful for this pregnancy and baby today...although I really have no idea what to expect during labor; I cannot wait to meet him/her!
My house may be an absolute disaster at the moment, but I made it to La Leche League last night and I have a midwife appointment tonight and then I'll be going for a long walk. I'll call it a win!
Random: occasionally I will go through my song list and put old favorites into a playlist. Today as I was driving to my doctor's appointment, I was listening to one such playlist and Hurt by Johnny Cash came on. I started bawling. Like, full on ugly crying. What the hell is wrong with me??? I thought I had been so in control of my pregnancy emotions. Clearly, that is not the case!
@Ssoccerball - I feel really in control of my emotions, then certain things just get to me more than they typically would. The song Hurt would absolutely push me over the edge.
The Hilary ad of kids watching Trump speak sends me into full on bawling.. even speaking of it makes me ugly cry. I think I scared my husband over it the other night, I played it for him on my phone and couldn't even speak.
I love DH but have a rant I need to share. I felt bad last evening for getting ragy with him for no apparent reason, but that feeling bad went away at bed time. We were laying in bed and he snuggles up and puts his hand in my belly. He just sat like that for a while (not normal usually he catches up with the news on his phone). I asked him what he was doing and he said paying attention to you. I thought that was sweet, but after a while of this he's like so we going to have sex. All I said was no but in my head I was all I see the only time you pay attention to me is when you want some!!! I'm still staby about it this morning!!

Steroid shot #2 and BPP today. I hate to admit, I'm actually loving that I'll get to see my boy every week until he's born
