  • @seitzy3 I feel like I am constantly getting onto the boys when we are out somewhere and lord help me when I have them both by myself.  Our oldest isn't too bad and generally is quite helpful in the store but he tends to get our youngest riled up and once that happens, it's game over.  I have swatted mouths, asses, hands, yelled at them, you name it because I have reached that point.  Did I feel terrible afterward, YEP! Did I care who was watching.. hell no!  Since therapy has started with our youngest, I am trying to ignore the little annoying behaviors and tantrums because they are trying to get my attention and any attention, whether positive or negative, works for them and feeds the monster.  Stay strong, stand your ground and know that you are being an amazing parent by not letting her walk all over her.

I took a 30 minutes nap yesterday and still didn't make dinner... DH may not have been too happy with the fact that the boys and I had sandwiches with Doritos followed by ice cream but at this point I don't care.  I am tired of busting my butt cooking and cleaning.  It's now time for the couch to consume me at the end of the day for the next 7 weeks.

  • @MrsVoorhees - You dirty liar! Just kidding. I'm glad you're here!
  • @MrsVoorhees I'm due Sept 2nd but I've always known with a RCS that I would be have an August baby. The August board just never felt right to me but I do occasionally lurk there.

I cried this morning after attempting to shave my crotch. I contorted my body every way I could think of and it just wasn't happening. I was so frustrated I tossed the razor down and said fuck it.
H came in while I was taking a bath a few nights ago and told me to give him
the razor, and he would help me. I just sat there like a fat deer, looking at him, and couldn't bring myself to do it. I
told him to give me the mirror and I would handle it. Lol
I can't stop laughing at this. Sorry, not sorry. :) I have the funniest image in my head and would totally feel the same way.

@MrsVoorhees it's all good! I'm sept 1 and I knew I would most likely have my baby in August but I stuck with September because this board is the bomb.com

also curious, why do you smell like puke? Go take a shower u dirty liar
Haha *I* don't smell like puke, my office smelled like puke. Had to be the office because I don't smell it now. No one was there since we got off at 11 so I grabbed a trash can from one of the interior offices that we use for storage and made a foot rest. I wonder if it had been puked in before?

I told DH that I was thinking of asking the hospital staff on our tour tomorrow how soon after delivery I can drink...like, can I have a cooler with some beer in the recovery room?  I was only 99% joking...That sounds super bad all written out like that and I will absolutely continue to do the healthy thing for my LO while breastfeeding, but really I just miss the taste of a good dark porter.
I don't think it's that bad. I found one of those 5 ounce single serving wine bottles in my cabinet and was considering packing it in hospital bag ;)

Making my husband bring me a beer in the hospital. Oktobertfests should be out. And FTR, a beer or two is totally safe while breastfeeding. Dark beers are supposedly good for your supply.

I got fed up today reading responses that are never helpful or add anything to the persons actual problem and I may have made a passive aggressive comment on a thread. I feel a bit bad about it, but I'm just always thinking "ok cool that doesn't help my/that persons problem and is irrelevant so why even post it" and I guess I was feeling snarky today about it. Sorry, kinda not, sorry.
Pretty sure that was my post. My point behind it is, get checked to be sure  it's not the meds or something else but it's not necessarily an abnormal thing.

Even if that extra info had been added in your post, it would have put it more into context. I just felt like it didn't really help me to know that was a normal thing for you since it's NOT normal for me, or else I wouldn't be concerned. That make sense?

  • Fed the kid McDonald's for dinner. Currently scarfing Taco Bell. #NoRegrets
If Taco Bell delivered I'd be all over that right now. Now I'm sad.

  • Thanks for the solidarity, ladies! Whether I end up cracking open a cold one in my hospital gown remains to be seen, but I'm glad to know I'm not being selfish in dreaming a bit of that first post-partum sip.

Also, I've been wanting Taco Bell for days, but it's a little out of the way, DH doesn't like it that much, and I'm not sure it would sit well my heartburn. All you ladies taking about it may have convinced me to just go ahead and do it, consequences be damned!

So I guess my FFFC (and UO?) is that I hate Taco Hell. It's so gross to me and how can real food be that cheap? The 2x I've tried it I spent the entire night in the bathroom. So sick...

I live about 1 hour north of the Mexican border. There's so many good taco shops here. I can't cheat on all the Albertos, Alibertos, Ibertos, and my favorite, Taco Patron. I wish this kid would let me eat taco shop. It's one of my few revulsion. DH is going through serious withdrawals from lack of Carne asada fries and shrimp burritos.

  • This sounds stupid but I really wanted ice cream today so I went to the store, trying to be health conscious, and got the no sugar added Breyers and sugar free Hershey's syrup.  Get home, assemble my ice cream, sit on the couch, and OH MY GOD that syrup is NASTY!!!! Like, awful bitter! Like crushed up aspirin.  I threw away the entire bowl of ice cream, went back to the store, and got regular Hershey's.  Now, it sounds lame, but I've had three or four bad customer service experiences this week and I'm fed up! I'm writing Hershey's and asking for a refund!! That crap should be labeled"liquid bitters".

Same reason I don't do dominos/pizza hut/other crappy pizza chain. Way too many awesome local pizzerias nearby.

I too hate Taco Bell. Their food tastes fake or something.
  • I can get behind the Taco Bell hate. It's just not the worth the diarrhea and self-deprecating thoughts

  • After battling crowds at Target (it's tax-free weekend here), battling the heat, and hearing my 6-year-old's nonstop chatter about Minecraft and her favorite YouTuber, I couldn't even mess with dinner so Taco Bell it was! No fucks left to give this evening. Now five hours from now I may be singing a different tune...

I'm with you on this. I didn't even know it was possible to hate Taco Bell.
