@AnnaS930and@MrsVoorhees I think you were both right! I have my feet up and am feeling ALL kinds of familiar sensations now that indicate baby boy has moved. It's like he is doing handstands on my cervix or raising the roof but upside down. It is not the most comfortable so I hope he moves again before my shower tomorrow!
Do you know if he was head-up previously and maybe you felt him flip?

Ugh, the raise the roof feeling! I tried to explain to H what it feels like....its like hes scratching me and drawing his arms up and down in a continuous motion.
New symptoms for me - stabbing, strong pain in my boobs and all over itchiness.
During the night, sometimes I wake up with sharp pains in my boobs. I am really hoping this is just from them doing their thing, I haven't started leaking yet so maybe getting ready for that?
I am so itchy!!!!! Boobs, belly, back and sometimes at night hands and feet. I think the hands and feet might be from swelling? I told my doc at my appointment yesterday, and she asked if I had a rash and pretty much left it at that. Most of my maternity pants are below the belly, but I wore a full panel this week and itched the entire day.
@blondie080300 maybe the little dude shoved your placenta further out of the way! hahaha, like "hey, my mom used to be concerned you'd be in the way, so get outta here!" and with the movement your feeling more of him without it in the way.
Let me just say.. I have NO idea if a placenta can be moved by a baby, but I'm going to pretend it can as a good explanation for your mystery sensations!
@AnnaS930 *high five* I feel the same way about going nude. Sure I have moments when I'm feeling down on my body (nearly everyone does), but in general I love all my parts! So, the never-nude thing isn't about not liking the way I look naked, it's very much about the physical feeling.
I always wear a bra. Always. My friends and lady family HATE bras and if it were a popular thing to do now they'd probably burn them in the front yard, but I love mine. I'm in some form of bra all-the-time unless I'm in the shower/bath. The support is comfy. No support is not comfy.
Lately I've been feeling/seeing baby move a lot just above belly button. But weirdly, as I feel/see him move that high up, I get a corresponding pain in my right hip area at the same time. Not sure what that's all about...
@nativetexan512 yes to the sharp boob pains. Yesterday they were killing me at work, and it took everything to keep me from grabbing them and rubbing them at my desk haha
@AnnaS930 You made me literally laugh out loud and I choked on my water I was drinking. LOL. The idea of him shoving my placenta out of the way is hilarious.

I just... JUST realized that I've developed linea nigra. It's pretty faint but I was in a dressing room trying to find a dress for my shower tomorrow (found one! Thanks Marshalls!) and saw it. At first, I thought it was just a mark from the seam of my maternity leggings... and in fact, I've seen it a few times and always just thought it was a mark from a seam. Cue me rubbing my belly right now and realizing there is no seam that runs up the middle of my leggings, and now that I think of it, I don't think anything I wear has a seam that goes over my belly, obviously, because that would be weird. Apparently I've had this thing for a while, and my brain was just playing the denial game!
@SLou24 I totally just read that as "in MY changing room" and I was like whoaaa fancy girl has her own change room and I pictured your house having this gigantic closet with mirrors everywhere
Hahaha, @RG1, how I wish that were true! Instead I live in an apartment with the most abysmal closet space I've ever seen.. My closet is so narrow the hangers don't even really fit so I can't close the door
Is there a way for me to tell whether extra fluid I'm feeling is just discharge or something more serious? I've noticed it since yesterday. My friend said as long as it isn't clear and watery, then its not my water, but its hard to tell. L&D is an hour away for me so I hate going in for things I could check at home first. I thought maybe wearing a liner and seeing if it has colour?
@RG1 If it happens every time you stand up and is fairly consistent while standing, it may be your water. Some people also experience more fluid after they lay down for 20 or 30 minutes because it pools inside then comes out when you stand. I would wear a pad to see what exactly it is. Mine was a slow leak and I thought I was just peeing myself a little bit. If your unsure I would at least call, they may be able to listen to what's happening and help you better.

It does seem to be when I stand up and after I use the bathroom so I wondered whether I was just being a savage and not wiping properly lol. I'll try out a pad and see. Thanks!
@RG1 you could also just stand with no bottoms for a couple minutes and see if it continues to drip. When I was standing in my gown and a couple of drops hit the floor that was the point when the nurse said yes, it's your water.

Another thing the doc told us was the smell. If it smells sweet it's your water. But you can always go in and get checked out to be safe!
@RG1 what asht said! I read it should smell sweet. You will be producing a lot more discharge now until the end, so it could definitely be that. They told me to put on a pad and if it was soaked in an hour it was my water, but that never happened even though it was my water. Try squatting and getting back up lol
@SLou24 my linea negra runs almost all the way up to my bra line. No denying it.
@drmh22@RG1 I called my doc with the same question last weekend and she also suggested laying down for 20 or 30 minutes and getting up to see if there's any kind of "gush." Not to be TMI, but I could probably get a drip to hit my legs or the floor every so often from my regular discharge, so just looking for drips alone wouldn't be enough for me to differentiate. I wish I knew exactly what amniotic water smelled like so I wouldn't worry about it.
@drmh22 That is a great idea! Someone with science smarts...get on that!
@jas1982 I know what you mean. And TMI by mine usually smells quite nice and sweet, especially if I get sweaty, and its been hot here! We were at an appointment the other day and after leaving, H said he could smell my feet in the appointment cause I was wearing flip flops. I denied this cause my feet smell great. He said, "ya it was like a mix of sweet and feet smell" and I was like "it was probably my vagina!" hahah. I dont know why he loves me...I'm really quite disgusting.
@blondie080300@RG1 most people that had a slow leak said they knew it was their water. So probably you would know. For mine, I tested GBS+ so once the water breaks you're on a 24 hr clock to deliver. I'm not sure what the game plan would be this early though...I know that ruptured membranes means higher risk for infection, but that is the extent of my knowledge.
You would probably be admitted to the hospital on antibiotics and monitoring, trying to make it a little further along. But it would depend on how much fluid had been lost/how much fluid was left. Or you would end up getting induced to start contractions, depending on the circumstances, how far along you are, baby's size, howmich fluid is left etc...
Wahhh I have a yeast infection. I just put in the monistat and I forgot how uncomfortable it is. grrrrr I was trying to ignore it but yesterday and today the itching was bad and the discharge was getting worse so I knew I had to take care of it. I'm about to get an ice pack lol
I'm back on team "fluid or discharge (or tinkle)." I woke up last night with what I am 85% sure was just discharge dripping on my legs and onto the floor when I got up to go to the bathroom. I think I might actually go get checked today. Can anyone who has ever gone to get checked tell me if they went to their doc or to L&D? Calling my doctor also, just wondering. @drmh22@RG1
@jas1982 Not a fun team to be on! I never actually called or went. Where I am, our docs are at the hospital so there's only one place I'd go anyways so that's not much help. Hope you get some answers!
I've had this strange symptom about three times in the last few weeks. I wake up around 330 am feeling so hungry that I'm going to throw up. My face is so hot and swollen. I sit on the toilet almost puking and I try to eat and almost puke and have to eat so slowly (like one small bite of cheese every minute) and then go back to bed and am freezing cold and need all the blankets even though I was just burning up before. One night I took my temp cause I thought I had a fever but I didn't. I always have a snack either cheese or cereal before bed and this doesn't happen every night so I can't tell what's causing it or if it even is actually hunger.

This could be low blood sugar. I would try drinking something sweet next time (cold and slowly) to see if it does the trick. Hope it doesn't happen again, whatever it is!
@RG1@MrsVoorhees I called my doc and she said just come into their office this afternoon and they can check me there. They are right next to the L&D wing of the hospital if anything dramatic happens, but I feel like everything is probably fine.
@RG1 that sounds scary. Hopefully OJ does the trick!
Good Lord, the swelling I am having is awful. When I wake up, every joint hurts and is stiff. My feet hurt to walk on, my hips complain getting out of bed, I can't close my fists well...everything is usually better (except my fingers, completely) by at most an hour after I get up and start moving, but, man, that first little bit of my day sucks right now!

Low blood sugar or low iron. Low iron levels can make you feel like you have the flu, including the feeling of having a fever even when your temperature is normal or even below normal. If you feel very hot and uncomfortable (like you do when you have a fever) and your temperature is low this is definitely a potential sign of anemia. I've experienced this many times.
BUT, I've never been super nauseous. If it keeps happening I'd definitely call it in.
My symptoms: Finally got to the point where I can't sleep because of discomfort and not hormones or restless BODY syndrome. My legs are cramping pretty frequently now (though still thankfully not horribly) and my hips ache if I stay on one side too long. Sleeping on my back is OUT because baby is finally heavy enough to push on things and make them ache. My most enjoyed position? Half side/stomach. But then baby feels all constricted and will start pushing and kicking against my tummy to get me to move.

My waddling is causing some callus formation on the sides of my feet. That did NOT happen before.

I might just start sleeping sitting up!
