Thank you all!! This pregnancy has been quiet the journey for me and I'm just looking forward to the day I get to hold our healthy babygirl. I don't believe they did the steroid shot. I didn't even think to ask but I'm assuming because after starting the procardia the contractions went from 2-3min apart to 7 min apart and no change in dilation from that point.
I went into into preterm labor at 34 weeks with my son and stayed on procardia until 36/37 and then had him at 38. So because I had a successful experience with the procardia last time, I have faith it will be the same this time.
Just need to make sure my body stays healthy and safe for her in the mean time!
You ladies are so sweet and supportive!!! Thank you!
For some random reason, I just started thinking about how funny it would be if someone was posting on here but wasn't actually pregnant. Now that I type it out, it wouldn't really be that funny.
This has happened... I'm sure often. But the case in particular I'm thinking of was a couple years back now (While I was on Dec14 but in another month's group), and went beyond the pregnancy to posting pics of someone else's baby claiming it was her own. Also signed on from a separate screen name claiming to be the original poster's wife. It was insaaaaaane, and sh*t blew up when a couple of the member's put together all of the evidence against her and blew her cover. It was definitely a pop-your-popcorn and sit down for hours of good reading (and dozens of pages) type of event.
@reesaXden Just want to add in my support with the others. How frightening yesterday must have been for you and your family. I wish you all the best & that your baby stays put and keeps cooking.
@reesaXden I'm so sorry for your trouble, scary weekend. Glad the medication seems to be helping, especially since it has helped once before. Fingers crossed for your little one to settle down and stay comfy for the next few weeks!

@AnnaS930 How did it go on for hours? Did the person still claim they're story was true after the evidence of fake photos was announced? I'm seriously curious as to how you stick to your story when you have concrete evidence thrown at you!
@reesaXden I'm sure sending "cook baby!" thoughts your way. I'm sure that was terrifying. I hope everything stays boring from now until it's time to meet your healthy baby!
@LakeR2014 There was a lot of denying and people claiming evidence was fake, if it's the thread I've seen. It has popped up on the "Threads You Might Like" list on the web version for me a couple of times. Definitely glad we don't have drama like that here!
@LakeR2014 - Yes. After being called out for the possibility of fake photos is I think when the OP's significant other showed up to defend them (which, as you know.. was the OP with a different screen name). Every seen Catfish on MTV? Internet weirdos get pretty desperate trying to keep the facade going. I wish the posts still exist, but I can't imagine that they do now..
When you say something to someone that sounds so awkward and you know it sounds awkward so you try to backtrack or explain to unawkward it but it only makes it more awkward and YOU KNOW THIS BUT YOU CAN'T STOP YOURSELF.

That was my morning.
@Bibliobebe I laughed out loud so hard at this because I can completely relate. So sorry that was your morning though.
@Jabreen - you rock. This is absolutely one of the ones I was specifically referencing. Man these were good times on The Bump. Dec14 LOVED this as it went down.
@Jabreen reading the post during lunch and basically what another poster said has been so true of every Catfish i've heard of: "And it's always someone who wasn't just a
participant on the board, but is a huge AW who gives TMI all the time."
We had one Catfish on TK or TB, can't remember now, who was always posting and always WAAAYYYY to TMI. Once it was discovered they were banned of course, but it was the second time I'd been aware of one, and I remember thinking that both instances involved way too much oversharing. Is that in the Catfish guidebook?
@LakeR2014 I bet it has something to do with the narcissistic tendencies of someone who decides to create a fake life/drama to get people to pay attention. You see other people with horrible stories getting all kinds of love and support, so you do that, too. Then, you notice that everyone else has moved on, so you do it again. Lather, rinse, repeat. The more detail, the more things people have to comment on - and the longer you spin a story, the longer you stay in the "public" eye.
@reesaXden I'm sorry you are dealing with this stress! Sending all my positive feels your way!
@PSUBecky23 That was us in the grocery store yesterday, then I got home and saw that. I would be lying though if my first thought after I calmed down was 'you know who could appreciate this...PSUBecky!' lol

@reesaXden I'm so sorry that you had to go through that, but glad that the medicine is working. Tell that baby to stay put!
@AnnaS930 D14 loved ALL the drama. Although TB was much more dramatic back then. Which makes me long for more drama while simultaneously being there there is relatively little.
@drmh22 - it's so true. I could use a little more around here, but a lot less than what we experienced. I didn't so much mind the "Hey, it's going down on (different BMB)!" and snooping on their drama.. but the influx of members from another website all together was my cue to more to private boards/FB. Got too scary
@jabreen I don't like to participate in drama but reading about it is actually kind of entertaining in a really sort of "This we don't wants in our life, is it precious." Sort of way.
But man, a YEAR of that? I mean, holy guacamole, that's some serious dedication to a fictional character. But, I give props for the creativity.
In a completely unrelated topic that IS somewhat related because the catfisher started the board and now I'm all awing over everything - did anyone start a wedding board in this group? I'm sitting here looking at wedding pictures of women I've never even interacted with online from groups that are years old and I feel kind of creepy but I'm enjoying the photos. So, if we do have a wedding board can someone link me so I can look at all of YOUR pictures instead and feel less weird-ish.
I don't mind a little drama. I'm not above admitting that I enjoy a little light drama as a spectator. And that I don't shy away from confrontation if I feel justified. But I don't seek it out.
@reesaXden wow. Will be sending all my positive vibes your way that baby stays in as long as practicable. I am so glad you both are stable, and so sorry you had to go through all that. I'm sure your spouse feels awful you had to be alone having that bad reaction.
@MrsVoorhees I don't always assume people are talking about me, but I DO always assume people are honking at me in traffic. They could be a block away and I still think, crap, what did I do?!?
ETA: I don't get the point of catfishing? Ain't nobody got time for that, I would think, apart from the really lonely or truly and desperately narcissistic.
Also, as a general note, I am sorry I read the meth thread. Too much drama for my taste.
Sending happy thoughts and FX baby stays in awhile longer @reesaxden. I had Turbutiline at 32w with DS1 and they told me then that they just do the steroid shot if they can't control the labor and it looks like baby is coming soon. I hope your next few weeks are very uneventful.
I just can't imagine having enough spare time to create completely false stories/personalities and engage in a forum somewhere. I mean I can barely squeeze a shower in most days. I'm a little jelly.
I wonder if there are Catfish statistics out there... like for every 100 bumpies 1 of them is fake. That would be an interesting social experiment for some eager grad student who needed a thesis idea.
On a catfishing/online drama note, if anyone has spare time to read a thread that's not on TB, I ran across this one while home sick in 1st tri and could not rip myself away.
