Well!!! After a rollercoaster of a ride on Thursday I'm happy to report (even though they decided to come early) the babies are here!!! It was a roller coaster ride. Went in for my regular appointment on Thursday and the doctor was once again concerned about their weight. Just felt like I had ran out of real estate so they sent me home to get my things and admitted me for monitoring of the babies. Meanwhile my braxton hicks were getting more intense and lasting longer. By morning the pains were in my back and by noon they were in my front like cramps. My doc came in at 1:30pm and checked my cervix and she said I was dilated to 1.5. She called the big boss at my high risk doc and she told my OB to get me in the OR asap. Got to OR at 2:30 and babies were born at 3:08pm and 3:09 pm. They are the loves of our lives. Hubby is high octane right now. He is so happy he can't contain his energy. Anywho...ladies...meet my girls. Taya and Harmony. They are strong lil girls. Very stable and breathing on their own. Harmony came 1st at 4lbs 1oz and 17 inches. Taya came a min later at 3lbs 14oz and 15 inches.

Hi ladies i had a rough weekend cried for like 3 hrs in a row IF SUCKS SO BAD i was trying to get a equity loan from my home and guy told me it was impossible it felt like it was the end of the world for me im trying to get funds for my ivf cause i dont have 20000 lying around ugh better though dh says it will work out so im positive we will find a way we have until september how is everyone doing?
@Hoping4Success I hope you're able to get some type of funds. My friend borrowed money from family in order to pay for the IVF. If I have any meds left over I'd be happy to send you them so you won't have to pay for the meds. It all sucks so much I know but I know that things will look up before you know it. @Hopeful_mom it happened very fast. I went in for my regular check ups with my OB and High Risk Doc and they were concerned that Harmony hadn't picked up enough weight. She had only put on 5oz in 2 weeks. They basically said the babies had ran out of real estate because the blood flow from the placenta and umbilical cords were great. My body was just ready to give birth. at 34 weeks I was measuring 39 weeks, so my body was like ok... she is full term it's go time.
So they sent me up for monitoring on Thursday and by Friday I was in active labor. My doc came in to check my cervix at 1:30pm and she said I was dilated almost 1.5. She called the high risk doc and the decision was made I didn't have a lot of time as they wanted to get the babies out before they had any distress so by 2:30pm I was in the OR and the babies were born @ 3:08 and 3:09 pm.
This entire weekend has been one big blurr.

@Hoping4Success they will know what meds about a week or two before. I know things can get so expensive just keep me posted and DM when you know what meds you need. Find out how much they are first too because if some are cheap it's worth getting through them. But let me know when they tell you

They did another ultrasound and baby girl is still in the same position - foot/leg in funneling of cervix and kicking on my cervix. Cord is still down there too. @wenikilina my heart is so with you. I know you are scared but yes as @LSatturo126 said they crying will put more stress on your body than u need right now. Take slow deep breaths and refocus your energy back to your babies. They need all the good vibrations. Play soft music to help ease some of the mental tension and keep visitors to a minimum...seriously you need as little distractions as possible. The babies are doing well. They are small and lost some weight which was to be expected. The doctors are focusing on adding fortifier to my breast milk to give them more calories so they start to put some weight back on. They also have a hard time breathing and eating at the same time which is normal for preemies so they are focusing on helping them learn eat/swallow/breath coordination. 1 day at a time...I was told they could be in NICU until my original due date of Aug 25th.

@ShayLatrice I'm glad to hear the babies are doing well. I can't imagine what it must be like to have your little ones in the NICU for such a long time.
Hang in there @wenikilina relax as much as possible and keep those babies cozy inside as long as you can..However to make you feel better for whenever they come I have a friend who had her son at 26 weeks and he's doing very well now at 4 months old. I also have friends who had twins at 28 weeks and they are such happy and healthy 4 (almost 5) year old girls. My son also had a set of twins in his class this year that were born at 28 weeks and you would never know it and they are 3 (almost 4)
@ShayLatrice so glad your girls are doing pretty well. I know how hard the nicu can be. My son was in the nicu for 4 days which is nothing compared to what you have ahead of you but just remember that when you aren't there with them they are in such good hands getting stronger and healthy so that you can take them home soon.

It was a roller coaster ride. Went in for my regular appointment on Thursday and the doctor was once again concerned about their weight. Just felt like I had ran out of real estate so they sent me home to get my things and admitted me for monitoring of the babies. Meanwhile my braxton hicks were getting more intense and lasting longer. By morning the pains were in my back and by noon they were in my front like cramps. My doc came in at 1:30pm and checked my cervix and she said I was dilated to 1.5. She called the big boss at my high risk doc and she told my OB to get me in the OR asap. Got to OR at 2:30 and babies were born at 3:08pm and 3:09 pm. They are the loves of our lives. Hubby is high octane right now. He is so happy he can't contain his energy. Anywho...ladies...meet my girls. Taya and Harmony. They are strong lil girls. Very stable and breathing on their own. Harmony came 1st at 4lbs 1oz and 17 inches. Taya came a min later at 3lbs 14oz and 15 inches.

So they sent me up for monitoring on Thursday and by Friday I was in active labor. My doc came in to check my cervix at 1:30pm and she said I was dilated almost 1.5. She called the high risk doc and the decision was made I didn't have a lot of time as they wanted to get the babies out before they had any distress so by 2:30pm I was in the OR and the babies were born @ 3:08 and 3:09 pm.
This entire weekend has been one big blurr.

The babies are doing well. They are small and lost some weight which was to be expected. The doctors are focusing on adding fortifier to my breast milk to give them more calories so they start to put some weight back on. They also have a hard time breathing and eating at the same time which is normal for preemies so they are focusing on helping them learn eat/swallow/breath coordination. 1 day at a time...I was told they could be in NICU until my original due date of Aug 25th.

@ShayLatrice I'm glad to hear the babies are doing well. I can't imagine what it must be like to have your little ones in the NICU for such a long time.
@ShayLatrice so glad your girls are doing pretty well. I know how hard the nicu can be. My son was in the nicu for 4 days which is nothing compared to what you have ahead of you but just remember that when you aren't there with them they are in such good hands getting stronger and healthy so that you can take them home soon.
