@drmh22 I learned that a few years ago when my husband built my daughter and Adirondack chair and stained it purple! Instead of typical wood stain color.
Well I just found out HFMD is spreading in our area. My sisters kids have it and I'm so scared it's coming our way FX that DS stays healthy. How is everyone else feeling that has it? @lovelylauren86@JennM205
Why does my mom always guilt me into doing things that she wants me to do? Like gojng to the hospital to sit with her while my uncle is in surgery. My dad is there, my uncles wife is there, and she only wants me there because some of his other family is there and she thinks it looks bad if her kids aren't there. If she wanted me there because she needed me, that's fine. But she always does this, she cares so much about what people think and God forbid she be the one person that didn't have someone come by. I feel no obligation to be there besides that she asked me to. My uncle and aunt didn't come to see DD when she was born and didn't meet her until Christmas (she was born in Sept) which is totally fine. Completely fine, I get it people are busy and I've definitely missed out on seeing new babies because timing just never worked out. But because of that, I don't feel obligated to go to the hospital today. Keep me updated and all that, but I don't need to actually be there. Ugh. I think I'm just in a really horrible mood. I feel extra, extra ragey and stabby today and DD has whined ALL MORNING. I just want to run the errands I planned. And DD won't stop pulling on my shirt which makes me extra ragey. Sorry, should've started this, "dear diary" haha
@Megan324 i get that feeling a lot and have googled it as well. I (vaguely) remember having the same sensation last pregnancy and googling it at the time too.
@RedMar hopefully your DS can avoid it! My DD2 had spots from head to toe, and a lot IN her mouth, and it's taken just over a week for all the spots to dissappear.

Landry is totally back to normal. My mouth is all better, I still have painful spots on my hands and feet but they never really fully blistered like his did. Hope you guys stay healthy!!
I'm back!! (Well with a new screen name). The last week has been so crazy. Stand by for long ranty post as I've been holding it all in since the banning: the flight back from Memphis was nice and uneventful. Made it home and slept in my own bed and it was delightful. First day back from vacation sucked beyond anything. before I left for vacation I had only gained 13lbs. I weighed myself and gained 10 during the three weeks I was gone. So much for the 25lbs my doctor wanted me to gain... Then I find out that I was banned for some reason and I couldn't figure out how to contact anyone to check. I ended up making a new account to contact the mods but I have yet to receive a response plus I had to wait the three days to be allowed to post. So frustrating. And then to top it off I worked a 12 hour day with only a half hour in between jobs to get from one to the other. I cried so much on Thursday between anger and frustration and exhaustion. I feel bad for H because he's been so good this whole time and I've been a total bitch lately and have been taking it out on him. Friday was a bit better because i didn't work 12 hours AND I had time to take a nap and a good long shower but I still cried because I couldn't find my keys (thanks hormones). Yesterday was my baby shower which was nice and all but i am still really upset. Over the years I have planned/hosted many baby/bridal showers and bachelorette parties and none of my friends stepped up. My mom hosted it alone and since she doesn't have a whole lot of money, we ended up paying for some stuff. After work yesterday, I had to go pick up my own cake (which I paid for) and then go decorate my mom's house. I don't want to seem ungrateful but I really just wanted a day where I could be pampered and not have to be in charge. We did get lots of good things and we are already planning how the returns/exchanges are going to go so we get the things we need.
Thank you so much for the concern and I'm all about starting a private group or moving to facebook whenever that happens. I am only involved and post in this group and got zero warnings about breaking the TOU. I hope this gets sorted out soon and SLou can come back too
@marikkita112 Glad you are back although the fact that you were banned with no warning or justification is just so wrong!
I'm sorry you had a tough couple of days and that the shower & planning didn't go quite the way you'd hoped. That's great that you received some good items though. Chin up, hope you have an easier day and upcoming week. I don't know how you work 12 hour shifts - you are one strong mama!
@RedMar HFMD is no fun. DD got it over Memorial Day weekend. Her rash lasted almost 3 weeks and she's still losing her fingernails from it. I didn't even know that was a side effect until I took her in for it initially and they told me that because she had such a severe case it was possible. Plus DH got it which was almost worse than DD. I really hope you all stay healthy!
MIL just came over and said "you look like you're gunna pop". This is what I'm wearing. I don't think I look at all like I'm about to pop. So mad. She is like 4 foot 7 and 90 lbs so I guarantee this is as big as she got when pregnant but I'm 5 foot 8 so I have a lot more growing I can and will do! Furious
Eta: I forgot to mention I fell on my butt this morning! Slipped on the top step off the porch and smacked my elbow on the concrete porch and my back hit the top step. No bleeding And baby is still moving so I think I'm all good. Ugh. I felt so stupid

I'm so sorry you're feeling down about your weight gain, have you seen your OB yet? Maybe they won't even mind. Also, some of it could be water weight, I know that happens to me when I overindulge on vacation between the traveling and the sodium, so it could get better. I wouldn't be concerned, really. So you gained a little more than intended, as long as you and baby are fine, everything is fine! If you are concerned, you can try to slow it down from here on out but I'm sure you're okay.
Also, yuck on the shower situation. I know you're extra emotional (I have been the past week as well) but there is absolutely nothing wrong with expecting to be pampered for ONE day, especially when you have an event that is meant to do just that. I would have been so upset as well. I'm sorry
@marikkita112 welcome back! Take solace in the fact that I peed put 20 lb within 2 weeks of giving birth, so there's hope.
I I gained about 50 lb. and I lost about 15/20 in the hospital giving birth. I was so disappointed. Then I went to the bathroom every 10 minutes and I ended up only about 12 lb above my starting weight.
Thanks everyone! I definitely missed you all and I followed the fandoms thread as best as I could. I'm not so worried about te weight gain now and I'm definitely making healthier choices that I wasn't making on vacation. I'm sure part of it is also water retention from traveling. I have an appt with my ob tomorrow so we will see if I get a lecture on my weight gain.
Welcome back @marikkita112! I've been banned twice. Once after being flagged/warned several times and once with zero warning or explanation. They've gotten a lot less tolerant on everything.
@RG1if that's a out to pop then I would have delivered around 20 weeks (much larger with 2nd baby and shorter than you). Ignore her.

@RedMar I hope your family avoids the HFM that's going around! DD is back to her normal self. Her case was very, very mild, thankfully! She had a fever for about a day and a half and the spots /mouth sores lasted about 5 days. I never got anything, hallelujah! Good luck to you guys! And @lovelylauren86 I'm happy to hear you and Landry are both on the mend!

He then later told me pregnant women were crabby. But then followed it up by saying that he feels that pregnancy is the time in a woman's life when she is most beautiful. Yeah, buddy...lead with that next time!
@JennM205 Ugh the twins comment! A girl at my work was carrying big but I think it was just because she was so short. People asked her that ALL THE TIME. I'm like what is wrong with you people?! Who says that?! In my head I think I'd be rude and tell someone that isn't nice if they said that but if I ever heard it id probably be in too much shock to say anything snarky

I hope that means everything is ok, but it's still odd. I was actually just thinking this morning how awesome it was that no babies had been born yet. In my last bmb we had multiple micro-premies early on.
@drmh22 I had the same thought about two weeks ago... I recall having a few micros in my last bump group. i guess we'll just have to wait and see! I don't really "get" letting everyone know when you haven't developed a sense of community with them, but it is the interwebz and you can do what you want I suppose lol.
